This class is great beginner class for our young dancers that are interested in learning about ballet and tap. Dancers will be learning basic ballet and tap dance steps and terminology. In addition, there will be time for creative movement which includes creativity, coordination and choreography. Dance attire: any color or style leotard and tights (during hot months tights are not required, but please send thin socks for tap shoes). Shoes: pink or skin toned ballet shoes, black tap shoes.
Hair should be pulled up and out of face. Please send a labeled water bottle.

Dancers Kindergarten - 5th grade will be in either A or B cast and perform in 2 performances. Middle School & up will be in all 4 performances.
There will be a $25 Nutcracker fee for all participants to offset costume rentals & tights.
Please do not sign up for this ballet class this fall if your dancer is unable to attend all rehearsals, tech week and performances.
If there is room in the class starting in January, registration will open and you may add the class and participate in the Day of Worship on May 31.

Ballet Technique 2 meets two times a week. For Company members and pre pointe track dancers, they are required to take both Tuesday and Thursday classes. Cost for both Tuesday and Thursday is $60 a month.
Ballet Technique 1 class is required for any dancer starting the Ballet Technique track (unless otherwise noted by the instructor). This class will focus on the beginner / intermediate steps & technique in ballet. Dancers need to come in proper dance attire: leotard, tights, ballet skirt and pink or skin toned ballet shoes. Hair should be up in a bun.
