Descriptions of class levels are based on most typical, successful placement though individual placement could vary by instructor suggestion. Please follow these guidelines as you select classes of interest. We will be sure you are enrolled correctly and help you find a class for you!
For beginning levels (Level 1), please follow the age and grade guide that best matches you child. (Your child's age by September 30, 2026 and school grade for the '26-'27 year for our school year season--use '25-'26 grade and age by June 29 for Summer 2026)
Levels 2-5 are by instructor placement. Returning students should select their level from last season unless a different level is suggested you.
Students in Adaptive classes may select from two different age groups as they grow in their classroom skills and dance knowledge.
Company & Irish Troupe are by audition and/or placement only. Please speak to your instructor if you are interested in learning more.
Pre-Company, Jr. Troupe, ENCORE, and Kicklines are open to and welcome those who meet the minimum requirements listed.

Newly named, Grace in Motion, is an adaptive dance class for our younger dancers specially designed to work at a pace for dancers with different abilities and special needs. This dance combination class for younger students emphasizes ballet and jazz type movement.
1 30-minute class / week for four weeks

Tap teaches the percussive art of making rhythmic sounds with your feet -- either to music or a cappella.

Troupe was formed as a vision to blend a love of Irish step dance with community outreach. Irish dance involves rhythmic and precise movements of the lower body while maintaining a straight and still upper body. Dancers use soft and hard shoes to learn choreography and perform throughout the year in the community.
Open to Irish dancers moving into an intermediate level with permission of the director.
Co-Requisite: Troupe members must take an additional weekly Irish class at their level.

This dance style explores the qualities of released and grounded dancing while daring students to find contrasting qualities of stillness and explosion. There is a focus on floor work and combined elements of ballet and modern with use of acrobatics and hip hop and sometimes lyrical and jazz.
Pre-requisite: Level 3/4/5 in 2+ of: contemporary, ballet, lyrical, modern, acrobatics, jazz, or hip hop

Hip Hop uses lots of energy, rhythm, and hits to create seemingly effortless steps to a variety of rhythmic based music.

Level 4 = High Intermediate/Low Advanced levels: age varies (typically 8+ yrs experience)

Set to jazz music or music with a good beat, jazz uses every part of the dancer to pronounce musicality and nuances. Movements require control, agility, endurance, and lots of personality. Musical Theatre teaches and builds upon dance styles commonly used for musical theatre productions such as ballet and jazz and more. A large emphasis is placed on showmanship and acting to create effective and crowd-pleasing production numbers.
Pre-requisite: Level 3/4/5 in 2+ of: ballet, lyrical, modern, contemporary, acrobatics, jazz, or hip hop
