UP Yoga
UP Yoga currently offers three styles of yoga for your practice and all classes are My Vinyasa Practice-inspired:
Hatha Yoga (first Tuesday of the month)
Hatha yoga is an excellent beginner's yoga class. Hatha yoga is the art of leveraging the solar and lunar aspects of the human to bring balance. In Hatha, you will master the art of breathing intentionally and deeply while holding classic yoga positions with strength and grace bringing you to your inner peace. It is a slow-paced and mindful class.
Vinyasa Yoga (second and fourth Tuesday of the month)
Vinyasa Yoga is excellent for all levels. Vinyasa yoga is a dynamic flowing style of hatha yoga: breathing and moving through poses developing strength and flexibility while supporting the mind-body connection with breath and movement. Vinyasa means "connection between breath and movement". Class offered may be slow flow depending on student needs.
Slow Flow Vinyasa Yoga (third Tuesday of the month)
Slow flow Vinyasa is for all levels. Like Vinyasa, this class follows the same flowing style as asthanga but much slower, so you have time to practice engaging mentally with your body as you flow from one pose to another. This is an excellent class if you are looking for a mental AND physical challenge.
Regardless of which UP Yoga you practice, you will weave together your mind, body, and spirit with every breath slowing your pace in the sometimes frantic world.
Equipment needed: Yoga mat (required)
Blocks are available in class
All Yoga classes are available for WBC ballet students- please email WBC for details on signup
