Stone Dance Academy Student Code of Conduct & Communication Policy
At Stone Dance Academy, we strive to create a safe, respectful, and encouraging environment where every dancer can grow artistically and personally. This Code of Conduct outlines expected behavior, communication protocols, and disciplinary procedures to ensure a positive experience for all dancers, families, and staff.
STUDENT EXPECTATIONS
All dancers are expected to:
Treat classmates, instructors, and staff with kindness and respect.
Refrain from gossip, bullying (verbal, physical, or online), and exclusionary behavior.
Respect studio property and maintain a positive attitude during classes and rehearsals.
Communicate any concerns with their parents first.
CONFLICT RESOLUTION PROTOCOL
We believe in teaching dancers responsibility and promoting open communication. If a conflict or concern arises:
Step 1: Dancers should talk to their parent/guardian.
Step 2: Parents should attempt to address and resolve the issue with the other family (if appropriate).
Step 3: If the dancer is in danger, experiencing ongoing bullying, or if the issue remains unresolved, parents may contact studio staff.
Staff Involvement: If studio involvement is necessary, please email us with a summary of the concern. We will schedule a meeting or phone conference during business hours.
COMMUNICATION POLICY
To ensure transparency and protect all parties involved:
Staff & Student Interactions:
Teachers are prohibited from driving students to and from the studio unless there is an emergency.
A parent must be present for any private discussions between staff and students.
Parents may request a meeting or call by emailing or messaging us through the Band App.
Communication Platforms:
All communication must go through email or the Band App.
No direct texting of teachers or the studio owner.
No social media interactions (following, messaging, tagging) between staff and students.
DISCIPLINARY ACTIONS
We maintain a three-strike warning system for behavioral issues:
First Offense: Verbal warning and documented discussion with parent.
Second Offense: Written warning and potential temporary class suspension.
Third Offense: Final review by studio director; possible removal from class or team.
Immediate removal from the studio will occur if:
A student causes physical harm to another.
There are confirmed instances of severe bullying, harassment, or threats.

We are committed to supporting your dancer’s growth and well-being. Thank you for partnering with us to uphold these standards and make our studio a safe, inclusive space for all.
