STAFFING
We reserve the right to assign teachers of our choice to each class. Katrina Post will not necessarily be teaching all classes herself.

ENROLMENT
All enrolment is via the online DanceStudio-Pro platform. You must be over 18 to enrol yourself or dependants in classes. You must read and sign the waivers before you can select classes.

VCE DANCE
Students must seek permission from their secondary school to formally undertake VCE Dance with Stageworks Academy. Academically strong students can sit Units 1,2, 3 and 4 a year or two earlier than their other VCE subjects as long as their school approves this.

YOUTH PERFORMANCE COMPANY
This group is auditioned. Students must undertake 2 ballet classes per week and be at least 11 years old to be eligible. YPC competes in comps and performs in community events.

BALLET AND POINTE
Ballet is a highly fulfilling and enriching dance style which develops skills used across all dance styles. From about Grade 3, it is recommended bjt not enforced, that students take 2 ballet lessons per week to develop the strength, flexibility and cognitive skills for this style. As students progress and near the end of Primary school, they may be offered pointe-work. A physio must assess your young dancer for suitability for pointe dancing to ensure the dancer's safety. Some students do not wish to dance on pointe ever and that is no problem.

OTHER PERFORMANCE CLASSES
Levels:
Preschool (2.5 to 6)
Junior (Prep to Grade 3)
Inter (Grade 3 to 6)
Teen (Grade 6 to Year 12)
OPEN AGE (any primary or secondary level provided young children are not disruptive and can manage the material - a trial is recommended).

TRIALS
(Book it as a drop in)
If you are new to our school you can have 1 free trial of each group you are interested in. You can then return to your DanceStudio-Pro site to register and pay for the term or cancel any further enrolment.

For new and returning students: your place in the class is confirmed once payment (enrolment and tuition) is complete. Until then, places are open to all students.

YEAR LONG ENROLMENT
To avoid disruption to the groups, yearly comittment is expected. Please give notice in writing *4 weeks BEFORE THE END OF THE TERM if, for unavoidable reasons, you need to discontinue a group in the following term. Failure to give notice will result in being charged the FOLLOWING TERM'S FEES IN FULL. This is to allow us to meet time frames we must adhere to, for staff hiring, venue rental and insurance. Your Enrolment fee is non-refundable but you can use the $40 costume portion for 2 extra lessons with any of our groups that are appropriate for your child.

END OF YEAR
At the end of the year, please let us know if you are not returning. Returning students should enrol in their next year's classes in December to allow us to plan for staffing and venue rental the following year. Your child's place is open to other students until registration is completed and paid.

TUITION AND ENROLMENT FEES (NON REFUNDABLE)

1. Tuition Fees are paid per whole term and are non-refundable. 10% gst is added to all costs upon payment. You can commence classes once the enrolment fee is paid, waivers are signed and your invoice has been sent. Please submit fees within 2 weeks to avoid a $5 per week late fee or contact Stageworks Academy for a payment plan.

FEES
A 40 to 60 minute class fee is $20 plus GST multiplied by the number of weeks in the term.

PRO-RATA
If you are new to the school and complete your trial later in the term, you can request pro-rata fees. Returning students can make up missed lessons with another group. Returning students will not receive pro rata tuition.

DROP IN
If you are unsure about committing to a class, you can choose the more expensive "Drop in" option and pay per class attended. No discounts (family or multi-class) will be applied to the drop in fees. They are not included in your family class count. You will need to pay for any costume hire separately ($40). Your insurance and enrolment costs are embedded in the drop in class fee.

FAMILY MULTICLASS DISCOUNT
2nd class enrolled in per family receives a yearly 5% discount, 3rd class 10%, 4th class 15% 5th class 20% etc. Deductions are automatically counted online. Drop in fees are not included in discount.

CASH
Please reduce the listed term fees by 5% if paying by cash as this is the amount lost to the collecting parties, STRIPE and Dance Studio-Pro. Your initial enrolment fee, however needs to be paid online and then inform Kat your tuition payments will be in cash.

BRING A FRIEND DISCOUNT (applies to classes at 7 Adams St Only)
During Term 1, please enjoy a 10% term fee discount or $20 gift voucher (merch/tuition) when a new friend you introduced enrolls in a term of classes at 7 Adams St.

YEARLY ENROLMENT, INSURANCE & HIRE FEE (NON REFUNDABLE)
$70 plus gst
This non-refundable fee is paid at the start of enrolment, per group, per year. It is extremely low as compared with other Performing Arts schools and covers several costs: 1: Insurance ($15), 2: Enrolment processing ($10), 3. Hire of Props and Costumes required throughout the year and time spent by staff planning, designing, altering, cleaning and sourcing these items ($45).

By taking part in the concerts and performances at fairs etc. you are agreeing to be filmed and photographed during performances and for this footage to be shared on social media. Please contact Kat before the start of term if your child will not be able to perform. They can still attend lessons.

2. Practice Footage is taken of the group rehearsing in class and sent home via class cloud share folders so that children can rehearse at home. You need the link to access the footage. Class members must not post or share any footage. It is for personal use only. If you do not allow your child to be involved, please select the "Photo Opt Out" box under your waiver menu and contact Kat to define the limits.

Katrina Post is happy to discuss your preferences when they are to allow some but not all photography. Post discussion, an email should be sent with preferences clearly notated so that we can be accurate with our understanding.

PERFORMANCES

We strive to provide our students a number of authentic performance experiences ranging from small class displays for parents, assembly performances, fair performances to larger, formal concerts such as our Annual Staged Concert. All students are invited to perform in our annual concert, usually held late Term 3 or mid Term 4. Please let us know at the beginning of term 2 if your child will not perform in the Annual Concert.

ALLOCATION OF ACTING ROLES IN THE CONCERT
Any child undertaking 4 lessons per week is offered an acting role of 8 or more lines to help deliver the narrative of the show.

COMPASSIONATE BURSARY
We wish to assist disadvantaged children. We will try to source a silent benefactor for children who cannot afford lessons. The parent/carer must have proof of low income such as a health care card and the child must not be attending any other paid hobbies.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Skill based scholarships are NOT available for school based programs.
Partial scholarships may be offered at the discretion of staff at 7 Adams St to a student who might provide benefit to a second group.
