ASSUMPTIONS OF RISK & WAIVERS OF LIABILITY
PHOTO RELEASE:
I hereby grant In Motion Performing Arts Center permission to use my child's photograph/video for promotional purposes and/or social media and In Motion Performing Arts Center’s website.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY:
I am aware that In Motion Performing Arts Center takes every precaution to ensure my child’s safety. However, if an accident should occur and I cannot be notified, I authorize In Motion Performing Arts Center to seek emergency treatment at my own expense. I will not hold In Motion Performing Arts Center or any staff members liable.

WITHDRAWAL POLICY:
If your dancer decides dance is not for them, you must withdraw them from class by the 15th of the month, or you will be charged for the next month’s tuition.
Please message us through your Portal to withdraw.

This withdrawal policy remains in effect even if we have a shelter-in-place mandate from the federal, state, or local government.
In the event of a shelter-in-place, classes will convert to virtual classes, and instruction will continue. There may be an approximate one-week transition period from the date of the shelter-in-place order until virtual classes begin to allow us to implement our action plan. If needed, this brief period will be treated as inclement weather days, meaning your dancer can choose a convenient make-up class from an appropriate class on our schedule. No refunds will be given for this week. We will email available make-up times. Remember to withdraw your student by the 15th.
MAKE-UP CLASSES:
If your dancer misses class due to illness or other personal reasons, they can make up the missed class in a similar class. There will be no discount or refund given for missed classes. No make-ups for classes are missed when the studio is officially closed for holidays, etc. All classes missed due to inclement weather can be made up at your convenience during the 2025-2026 season using our existing class schedule.

TWO RECITALS A YEAR:
These are exciting and rewarding times of the season that everyone looks forward to!
We produce two fun and fabulous recitals yearly with all our IMPAC dancers.
The recital weeks are tentatively scheduled for December 8th-11th and May 11th-15th. Dancers perform the same night as their class, except for Friday night classes. They will perform earlier in the week—more details will follow later in the season.

RECITAL COSTUMES:
As noted above, recital costumes are included with your December and May tuition.

Any costume alterations needed will be the responsibility of the parent.
If your dancer is not participating, please message us through your Portal to withdraw.

RECITAL TICKETS:
Tickets can be purchased closer to recital time.
The estimated ticket costs $10-$13.
To ensure all dancers can have their immediate family watch them dance in the show, we may limit the number of tickets each family can purchase for a designated period. If tickets are still available after the designated time period, we will lift the limit and open ticket sales to everyone.

GENERAL RULES: Please discuss these rules with your dancers! Thank you!
No glass bottles and only drinks with a screw-on lid or sports bottle.
No peanuts, pets, or smoking.

Please let us know if your dancer will be absent from class due to illness or other obligations.
If your student has missed school due to illness, please do not send them to dance class.
Students must be fever free without fever reducer & vomit-free for a minimum of 24 hours before returning to dance. Make-up classes are available other nights of the week and can be made up anytime during the current season.
Parents should check their child’s temperature before sending them to class.
No cell phones, smart watches (like Apple Watch), or earbuds (like AirPods) are allowed in the dance rooms at any time. If you choose to bring them to class, please put them in the designated area in the hallway.

Please keep an eye on your children outside—no running in the parking lot or throwing rocks.
All children must be accompanied by a parent/guardian at all times unless they are in class.
In Motion Performing Arts Center is not responsible for items left behind at the studio. Please make sure you check for all your belongings before leaving.
Please take your dancer to the restroom BEFORE class begins to avoid accidents and disruptions to the class. Since our lobby will be limited to traffic, we recommend using the restroom before you come.

Please make an effort to be prompt! Excessive tardiness in picking up your child will result in additional fees.
No parents, friends, or siblings are allowed in the classroom at any time.
Viewing monitors will be on from September-November & January- March. Our lobby is closed, but we will share the monitor screen from a Zoom link.
All belongings should have a name or initials—shoes, bags, water bottles, etc.
Please note: The following rules and policies will be updated as often as need be to comply with the government and local recommended guidelines due to COVID-19. You will be notified of these changes via email as they come about.

Measures we will take to keep our dancers safe, if necessary:
Limiting the number of dancers per class (based on age)
Using exterior doors for entrances and exits
Limiting foot traffic inside the studio lobby
Potentially shifting the schedule to keep traffic between classes to a minimum
All dancers will use hand sanitizer as they enter and exit each class
Dancers will be limited to one average size dance bag or backpack and must keep them in the studio in a designated area
More details to follow on how we will enter and dismiss dancers this season.
Inclement Weather:
For the safety of our dancers, if we have to close for inclement weather, we will confirm our closing via email around 3pm that same day.

We typically wait to decide after 2pm because we live in Missouri, and the weather could change by then.

When inclement weather affects IMPAC, we will also communicate all schedule changes on social media! No refunds for inclement weather. All classes missed due to inclement weather can be made up at your convenience using our existing class schedule.
