Studio Policies

Tuition/Payments:
As of July 2023, tuition is due by the 1st of every month with a five (5) day grace period, (the 5th of every month). If paid after the 5th of the month, a $35 late fee will be asses to your account.
If payment is not made by the 7th of the month, your dancer will be asked to sit out of class/practice until account is current and up to date.
ALL fees, including uniforms and competition/recital fees are NON-REFUNDABLE. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Leaving Dancing Stars Dance Studio (willingly or not) does not entitle you to any items, or events already purchased i.em Dancing Stars Dance Studio Refund Policy.
When paying with a credit card/debit card there will be a service fee added to the total amount of transaction.
Dancing Stars Dance Studio shares a card reader with the owners other businesses. Transactions will show up as ‘KINCAID TOWING’.
Checks/Money Orders ARE accepted. All checks/money orders should be made out to Dancing Stars Dance Studio or Brittney Klarissa Garcia.
If for whatever reason, a check is rejected there will be a $35 dollar non-sufficient fee asses to your account.
Payments via Cash App are accepted; Please send payment to $DSDS2016
If you do not have Cash App, download it and use the code PWKKNSS; we will both get $5!
Payments via Venmo are accepted: Please send payment to @MissBrittneyKlarissa.
Please use the family and friends option so a seller fee is not applied. If a seller fee is applied, the consumer/dancer will be responsible for said fee.
Payments via Zelle are accepted: please send payment to (505) 803-9392
Payments via cash are accepted. Please only give cash to Miss Brittney ONLY.
Tuition paid covers services for four (4) weeks. Some months are a 5 week months, we will still have classes during that time. That will take the place of time missed due to but not limited to holidays, breaks, travel during competition season, etc.
Dancing Stars Dance Studio reserves the right to hold any and all uniforms until tuition is paid.
Dancing Stars Dance Studio reserves the right to pull dancer from any and all performances, events, competitions if tuition is not paid.
Compensation of dance studio instructor, choreographer, independent contractor, uniform vendor, and others are strictly between Dancing Stars Dance Studio and anyone listed above.
Any questions or concerns about payment/account needs to be discussed ONLY with Miss Brittney
Tuition and private lessons prices are subject to change at any given time.
Any money made while fundraising while representing Dancing Stars Dance Studio is a contribution for the dancer at Dancing Stars Dance Studio. All monies made will be put into the dancers account and will be used according for all fees that may be due such as tuition, costumes, competition fees, etc
If dancer is to leave at will not and there is a credit on the dancers account, that money will be donated to a dancer in need or for used for equipment for the dance studio.
Any money given as a sponsorship while representing Dancing Stars Dance Studio is a contribution for the dancer at Dancing Stars Dance Studio. All monies made will be put into the dancers account and will be used according for all fees that may be due such as tuition, costumes, competition fees, etc
If dancer is to leave at will not and there is a credit on the dancers account, that money will be donated to a dancer in need or for used for equipment for the dance studio.
Any funds made while fundraising or given as a sponsorships at a Dancing Stars Dance Studio Function or while representing/ participating as a member of Dancing Stars Dance Studio; funds will be disbursed at the discretion of Dancing Stars Dance Studio and its owner(s).
If dancer is to leave at will not and there is a credit on the dancers account, that money will be donated to a dancer in need or for used for equipment for the dance studio.
Dancing Stars Dance Studio does not offer a free trail first time class. We do offer a drop in rate of $20 per class. If dancer decides he/she wants to continue dance lessons for the following of the month, the drop in rate will be deducted from their first monthly tuition.
Attendance:
Attendance is taken in each class; unexcused absence will be noted and can penalize the dancer.
Instructors have every right to pull the dancer from upcoming recitals(s)/performance(s) and/or competition(s) due to attendance.
If dancer will be absent, it is the parent or dancer’s responsibility to notify Miss Brittney at least an hour before practice will begin.
Dancers are expected to begin class on time and ready in proper dance attire.
If a dancer is late, time missed will not be made up after class. A private lesson will need to be scheduled at parent/dancer expense.
If a dancer misses class, there is not a “make-up practice” or ‘credit’ to their account.
If an extra practice is needed, it will be at the instructor’s and studio convenience and availability.
If practice is cancelled, there MAY be a make-up practice scheduled at the instructor’s and studio convenience.

Dancing Stars Dance Studio follows the APS Holiday Schedule, we will be closed for all major holidays.
Ex. Martin Luther King Jr Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Etc.

Dress Code/Uniforms:

All dancers are expected to be in proper attire.
Recommended clothing:
Ballet; Tights, leotard, pink ballet slippers, skirt/tutu.

Jazz, Lyrical, Pom, Contemporary, Technique; tight fitted shorts, biker shorts, leggings, sports bra, tight fitted shirt, half sole shoes, toe panties, jazz shoe slipper.

Tumbling: Leotard, tight fitted shorts, baggy shirt, sports bra,

Hip Hop: tight fitted shorts, biker shorts, leggings, sports bra, any kind of shirt, dance shoes listed above or running shoes.
No Jewelry during class instruction time.
All Dancing Stars Dance Attire can ONLY be purchased through Dancing Stars Dance Studio.
Dancing Stars attire, bags, etc can not be made, bought, etc from anywhere else other than Dancing Stars Dance Studio.
Dance Shoes and Tights can only be bought through Dancing Stars Dance Studio.
Dances hair must be up at all times. No exceptions. Please have extra hair ties in your dancers dance bag.
Absolutely no jeans or jean shorts.
Sports bras must be worn at all times. Yes, even for the little ones.
If loose shorts are worn, tights or tight fitted spandex must be worn under.
Please bring running shoes to every practice, we will do outside runs periodically.
During the winter a Tight fitted jacket are acceptable.
ALL competition/recital/event uniforms MUST be purchased through Dancing Stars. These uniforms are required and must be worn at all but not limited to these events listed above.
Friendly Reminders:
Performances, rehearsals, competitions, events, extra practices, etc are volunteered time form our staff and volunteers, and Dancing Stars Dance Studio reserves the right to cancel any and all performances, competitions, events, etc. if our staff/volunteers is not treated with respect that we deserve.
ZERO Tolerance Policies
Dancing Stars Dance Studio reserves the right to terminate membership/service to anyone we feel portrays a negative image for this studio. This includes but is not limited to the following;
Consumption of illegal drugs
Consumption of alcohol under the legal age.
Inappropriate behavior on social media; including but not limited to Cyber-bullying, Fighting (involved or supporting), posting inappropriate pictures, etc
Involvement in gangs
Bullying other teammates
Disrespectful actions towards Dancing Stars Dance Studio staff, volunteers, and vendors.

Any promiscuous acts on the Dancing Star Dance property.

We are a zero-tolerance studio; if it is brought to the attention of staff or volunteer that a dancer ia involved, he/she will be removed immediately from the studio without notice and with no refunds for reimbursement.

Teammates:
Never speak disrespectfully about your teammates or coaches. Wether it is jokingly or not.
Never bully or make fun of your teammates.

Social Media
Usage of social media sites in an inappropriate manner will result in an immediate removal; fro, Dancing Stars Dance Studio. (Social media applies to the dancer and the parents/guardian)
Inappropriate behavior includes but not limited to the following:
Explicit language
Pictures
Disrespectful behavior
Defamation, libel, slander of the studio, owners, staff, volunteers and vendors.
Any inappropriate interferences from parent/guardian or dancer(s) will result in membership being terminated without notice and with no refund or reimbursement.
Parents:
DO NOT enter the dance room(s) while class is in session
Speak ONLY of your dancer(s)
You are a parent, not an instructor. Drop your suggestions in our suggestion box.
Have a question? Please wait until after class has ended or text/email Miss Brittney.
Please be curious of Dancing Stars Dance Studio staff, and volunteers time.
Please call and/or text at a decent hour of the day.
Pick up after yourself and your dancer(s)
Although your opinion are appreciated, please remember that the staff are working hard in doing the best routines, etc and are paid professionals. TRUST OUR JUDGEMENT.
