HALCYON DANCE STUDIO PRIVACY POLICY

-When you register to with Halcyon Dance Studio, for yourself or your child/children, we may collect personal details, including but not limited to:
-For all people registering an account: Your name, email address/s, phone number/s, date of birth and emergency contact information.
-For parents/guardians registering a minor: Your name as the parent/guardian and any contact information needed to reach you.
-Payment information: We will keep a credit card or bank account for ACH transfers on file for processing payments such as registration fees, tuition, costume rental/cleaning fees, production fees, etc.
-Medical information: We will ask for relevant health information to ensure safe and healthy participation in classes, rehearsals, productions and any other activities with or related to Halcyon Dance Studio.
2. Usage Data
-We may collect information about your interaction with our website and including but not limited to:
-The IP address, browser type, pages visited and the dates and times of your visits.
3. Cookies
-Our website uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to improve your site interactions and experiences, and gather information on users preferences. You may adjust your browser settings to decline the cookies.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION:
We will only use your information for ourselves to provide you the highest quality dance studio, rehearsal and performance services and to keep you informed and updated.
2. Service Delivery
-We will use your personal information to register you or your student/s for classes, to process payments and to communicate essential information, such as class schedules, updates/emergency announcements, promotions and future classes and performance opportunities.
3. Safety and Wellness
-Health-related information that you provide to us will be used to ensure you or your students have a safe environment, especially because this art and sport is physically and mentally demanding.
4. Marketing Communications
-With your consent (you can opt out at any time through your portal), we will send updates about classes and rehearsals, special offers, promotional materials and extra performance opportunities. Please bear in mind that opting out of receiving these communications may result in you missing out on essential information in a timely manner.
5. Improving Our Services
-We analyze our website usage data to enhance our offerings and create a better and more efficient user experience.
SHARING INFORMATION:
Halcyon Dance Studio does not give away, sell or distribute any of your personal information unless we are met with one of the following circumstances:

-Special events and collaborations: If you register for an extra performance opportunity, special event or a collaborative program with Halcyon Dance Studio and a a partnering business or individual, your information may be shared with the collaborating party as needed to manage the performance, event or collaboration effectively. We will only share the information that is necessary for the event, and the collaborating party is expected to protect your information and use it only for the duration and purpose of the collaboration.
SECURITY OF YOUR INFORMATION:
We take all the appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure your personal information is safeguarded against unauthorized access, disclosure or loss. However, no method of online transmission is entirely secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security.
DATA RETENTION:
We will only retain your personal information as long as it is needed for us to provide you or your student/s services or as required by law. Once the information is not longer necessary, we will securely dispose of it.
YOUR RIGHTS:
-Access, Correction and Deletion: You have the right at any time to access, correct or request the deletion of your and your student/s personal information. If you are unable to make those changes through your portal, please contact the studio owners Kristen/Derek Bailey and we will take care of those requests for you.
-Opt-Out: Again, you may opt out of marketing communications by logging into your portal, using the “Unsubscribe” link in any of our emails or by reaching out to us directly.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
For students under the age of 18, we require parental/guardian consent to collect personal information. If you believe that we may have inadvertently collected sensitive data from a minor without the parent/guardian consent, please contact us immediately for us to have it removed.
CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY
We reserve the right to update these policies as needed to reflect changes in our practices or legal obligations. Any and all updates will be sent to you via email, on our website, and here on our privacy policy page with the effective date noted. We would encourage you to review this policy and page periodically to ensure you have the most up to date information.

1. I HAVE READ THROUGH AGREE AND UNDERSTAND THAT HALCYON DANCE STUDIO IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR DURING THE 2026-2027 SEASON.
2. I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT HALCYON DANCE STUDIO AND IT’S STAFF IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY POTENTIAL HEALTH CONFLICTS OR SICKNESS THAT MAY BEFALL THE STUDENT/S THROUGHOUT THE 2026-2027 SEASON.
3. I GIVE CONSENT FOR MY STUDENT TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED AND/OR FILMED FOR PROMOTIONAL AND SOCIAL MEDIA PURPOSES. (PLEASE COMMUNICATE WITH US OTHERWISE IN ORDER FOR US TO CATER TOWARDS YOUR SPECIFIC NEEDS). *SEE ALSO PHOTOGRAPHY AND SOCIAL MEDIA POLICY
4. I HAVE READ THROUGH, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO FULFILL A FULL SEASON WITH HALCYON DANCE STUDIO, INCLUDING COMPLETED PAYMENTS FROM SEPTEMBER 2026-JUNE 2027, OTHERWISE PAYING THE EARLY EXIT FEE of $250.
5. I UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT HALCYON DANCE STUDIO HAS THE RIGHT TO DISMISS ANY STUDENT/S OR FAMILY AT ANYTIME IF THE BEHAVIOR OF THE STUDENT/S OR FAMILY DOES NOT ALIGN WITH THE CODE OF CONDUCT OR STUDIO CULTURE.
