Chamberlain School of Ballet respects the privacy of our families and students. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you interact with our studio, website, and online registration system.


INFORMATION WE COLLECT


We may collect personal information including, but not limited to:

- Parent/guardian and student names.
- Email addresses and phone numbers.
- Mailing addresses.
- Emergency contact information.
- Date of birth.
- Medical or allergy information relevant to participation.



****PAYMENT AND BILLING INFORMATION****

This information is collected for the purpose of enrollment, communication, billing, safety, and studio administration.

HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use your information to:

- Process registrations and enrollments.
- Communicate class updates, studio announcements, and important notices.
- Process payments and manage accounts.
- Maintain attendance and safety records.

****PAYMENT INFORMATION****

Tuition will be automatically charged or invoiced on the first of each month and all fees will be charged on the date due.

Payment transactions are processed through secure third-party payment processors. Chamberlain School of Ballet does not store full credit card numbers on its local systems. Payment processing providers maintain their own security and privacy standards.



****INFORMATION SHARING****

We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to third parties.

We may share limited information with trusted service providers (such as our registration software or payment processors) solely for the purpose of operating our business. These providers are required to maintain appropriate data security measures.

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety and rights of our students, families, and staff.



****CHILDREN'S INFORMATION****

We collect information about minors only with the consent of a parent or legal guardian for the purpose of participation in studio programs. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children outside of registration and studio activities.



****PLACEMENT POLICY****

Students are evaluated individually and placed in appropriate levels based on a variety of criteria including age, knowledge and execution of ballet technique, physique, personal strength development and regular attendance. Highly qualified instructors assess class placement as to the best interest for the child’s potential growth, and the child’s social circles are not always the priority. New students who wish to enroll after the start of the new school year must schedule a placement class with the School Administrator. Students will be evaluated during these classes and placed in the appropriate level.



****OBSERVATION POLICY****


There will be no observation allowed in the studios. Siblings and parents peering through the windows and doors can easily distract young children. There is also no need to enter the studio to assist your child with shoe changes or bathroom breaks. If an instructor needs your assistance, he or she will come to the lobby to get you. We hold a parent observation week each semester for parents and families.



****DATA SECURITY****


We take reasonable administrative and technical precautions to safeguard personal information. However, no online system can guarantee absolute security.


You may request to:

Review or update your account information.
Correct inaccurate information.
Request removal of your account (subject to applicable record keeping requirements)

Requests must be submitted in writing.



****PHOTO, VIDEO, & MEDIA RELEASE****

Chamberlain School of Ballet values our studio community and enjoys celebrating our dancers through photos and video. I understand that participation in classes, rehearsals, performances, and studio events may include being photographed, recorded, or otherwise captured.

I grant permission to Chamberlain School of Ballet to use photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, and digital images of myself and/or my child for educational, promotional, archival, and commercial purposes. This includes, but is not limited to, use on the studio website, social media, advertising materials, printed publications, email communications, digital content, online classes, and studio-related merchandise.

I understand that such media may also be incorporated into products created or offered by the studio, including apparel, printed materials, performance recordings, digital downloads, instructional content, and similar studio offerings.

I acknowledge that these materials may be edited, reproduced, published, distributed, displayed, or otherwise used in various formats now known or later developed. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product and understand that no compensation will be provided for such use.

Chamberlain School of Ballet will not publish full names without additional consent.

This authorization is granted on an ongoing basis and may be revoked in writing for future use only.



****POLICY UPDATES****

Chamberlain School of Ballet reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy as needed.
Updates will be posted through our registration portal or website.
