Terms & Conditions
By enrolling in classes with Mt Eden Ballet Academy, you agree to the following terms and conditions:
Enrolment & Fees
- Enrolment is for a full school term unless otherwise stated.
- Fees are payable at the time of registration. Once payment is received, your child’s place in the class is confirmed.
- By enrolling, families are committing to the full term of classes.
- Fees are non-refundable once the term has commenced.
Auto Pay Option
Auto Pay allows fees to be automatically charged to your saved payment method when payments are due or if there is an outstanding balance on your account.
• Families on a Payment Plan must be enrolled in Auto Pay, as instalments are processed automatically.
• Families not on a Payment Plan may choose to enrol in Auto Pay for convenience.
• If Auto Pay is not selected, fees must be paid manually by the due date.
By enrolling in Auto Pay, you authorise MEBA to process payments using your nominated payment method in accordance with your account charges.
Illness or Injury
- If a student is unable to attend classes for an extended period due to illness or injury, a medical certificate is required.
- With a valid medical certificate, we may, at our discretion, offer a credit or fee adjustment for future classes.
- Short-term absences (including common illness, holidays, or school commitments) are not eligible for refunds or credits.
Withdrawals
-Written notice is required prior to the start of a new term to withdraw from classes.
-Withdrawals during a term are not eligible for refunds or credits.
Attendance & Conduct
- Students are expected to arrive on time, prepared, and dressed in the required uniform.
- Students must behave respectfully towards teachers and other students.
- The studio reserves the right to remove a student from class if behaviour is disruptive or unsafe
Classes & Staffing
- Mt Eden Ballet Academy reserves the right to change teachers, class times, or substitute classes where necessary.
- Classes may be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Where possible, a make-up class will be offered.
Private Lessons
- Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise the full fee may be charged.
Liability
- Dance involves a risk of physical injury. By enrolling, you acknowledge and accept this risk.
- Mt Eden Ballet Academy is not liable for injuries sustained during classes, performances, or on studio premises, except where required by law.
Privacy Policy
Mt Eden Ballet Academy respects your privacy and is committed to protecting personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 2020 (NZ).
Information We Collect
We may collect personal information including:
- Student and parent/guardian names
- Contact details (email, phone number, address)
- Date of birth
- Medical or injury information relevant to participation
- Payment and billing information
How We Use Information
Personal information is used to:
- Manage enrolments and classes
- Communicate important studio information
- Process payments and invoices
- Ensure student safety and wellbeing
Storage & Security
- Information is stored securely via our studio management system.
- Access is limited to authorised staff only.
Sharing Information
- We do not sell or share personal information with third parties except where required to operate the business (e.g. payment providers) or by law.
Access & Correction
- You may request access to or correction of your personal information at any time by contacting the studio.
MEBA Photo & Video Consent
- I consent to Mt Eden Ballet Academy taking photos and videos of my child during classes, rehearsals, workshops, or events for use on MEBA’s website, social media, newsletters, and promotional materials. I understand no full names will be used without my permission. I acknowledge that no photos or videos are allowed during performances.
