Grassland Dance Academy: Policies and Procedures
Welcome to Grassland Dance Academy! To ensure a smooth, safe, and professional experience for all our dancers and their families, please review our studio policies below.
Tuition and Payments
Due Date: Tuition is due on the 1st of every month and is strictly non-refundable.
Invoicing: Invoices are sent on the 15th of the month prior. Please note that tuition remains due on the 1st regardless of whether an invoice was received.
Late Fees: Payments received after the 6th of the month will incur a $25.00 late fee, with no exceptions.
Past Due Accounts: If an account becomes 30 days past due, the student’s classes will be suspended until the balance is paid in full ($0.00 balance).
Safety and Supervision
Building Entry/Exit: Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring students enter and exit the building safely. No student may leave the building without adult supervision.
Pickup Policy: Children ages 8 and under must be picked up directly at the classroom door. Students will not be permitted to wait in the lobby without an accompanying adult.
Parking Lot Safety: Please use extreme caution. Do not speed. Be hyper-aware of children moving through the lot at all times.
Outdoor Safety & Railings: For the safety of our students and their siblings, leaning or climbing on the exterior railings is strictly prohibited.
Playground & Rock Structures: > Important: The playground equipment is to be used at your own risk and only with active adult supervision. For safety and landscaping preservation, climbing on rock structures or moving/throwing rocks is strictly prohibited for all dancers and siblings.
Studio Etiquette
Dress Code: Please refer to our website for the specific dress code required for each discipline.
Class Viewing: Parents are invited to observe classes via the monitor located in our lobby. To maintain a focused learning environment, no one is allowed inside the classroom except for the teacher and students.
Closings and Holidays
Holidays: We follow the Williamson County School calendar for Thanksgiving, Winter, and Spring breaks. Tuition is not waived or prorated for these scheduled closings.
Inclement Weather: In the event of bad weather, we will notify you via email and post updates on our Facebook page regarding class cancellations.
Withdrawal and Spring Show
Withdrawal Policy: To withdraw a student, a Class Drop Form must be submitted.
If submitted before the 15th, you will not be charged for the following month.
If submitted after the 15th, tuition for the following month is still required.
There are no reimbursements for tuition, recital fees, or costume fees already paid.
Spring Show: All students are expected to perform in our year-end recital. If your child cannot participate, written notice must be submitted by October 1st. Recital packages are non-refundable.
