Welcome
Thank you for choosing North Beach School of Dance. We are honored to be part of your family's dance journey. Our goal is to provide a safe, welcoming, positive environment where every dancer can grow in confidence, artistry, discipline, and character.

A Shared Commitment
We believe the best dance education is built on a partnership between students, families, instructors, and staff. Every policy has been established to create the safest, most positive, and most rewarding dance experience possible.

Our Commitment to You
Choosing a dance studio is an important decision, and we recognize the trust families place in us each time they enroll.

Our commitment extends beyond teaching dance. We are committed to creating an environment where students feel welcomed from their very first class, challenged as they grow, and celebrated for their accomplishments along the way.
• Provide qualified, caring instructors.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming environment.
• Offer age-appropriate progressive instruction.
• Communicate professionally with families.
• Treat every student with encouragement and respect.
In return, we ask families to partner with us through communication, respect, and support of our policies.

Registration & Acceptance
By registering, the responsible party acknowledges they have read, understood, and agree to abide by these Studio Policies & Waiver Agreement. Registration constitutes acceptance of the studio's policies and financial responsibility for all enrolled classes and fees.

Tuition Schedule
North Beach School of Dance operates on an annual dance season beginning in September and concluding with our Spring Production.

Annual tuition is divided into four scheduled installments to make tuition more manageable for families while ensuring the continuity of instruction throughout the season.
Tuition installments are due on the following dates:
• September 1
• November 1
• January 1
• March 1

Accepted Methods of Payment
North Beach School of Dance accepts the following forms of payment:
• Studio Pro AutoPay (Preferred)
• Credit or Debit Card
• Cash
• Check
• Money Order
A $4 processing fee applies to payments made electronically through Studio Pro or other online payment methods. Cash, check, or money order payments are not subject to the processing fee.

Late Payments
We understand that unexpected circumstances occasionally arise. For this reason, a five (5) calendar day grace period is provided following each scheduled tuition due date.

Payments received after the grace period will incur a $25 late fee, regardless of the reason for the delay.
Accounts with outstanding balances may become ineligible to participate in studio activities until the account has been brought current. This may include:
• Weekly classes
• Rehearsals
• Spring Production participation
• Workshops
• Summer programs
• Special studio events
• Other activities sponsored by North Beach School of Dance
Continued delinquency may also affect future class registration and enrollment.

Returned Payments
Any check returned by the bank for insufficient funds or other banking reasons will be assessed a $30 returned payment fee, in addition to any applicable bank charges.
Following a returned payment, North Beach School of Dance reserves the right to require future payments to be made by certified funds, cash, credit card, or another approved payment method.

Refund Policy
Unless otherwise required by law or expressly approved by the Studio Director, all fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Any exception granted by North Beach School of Dance is made solely at the discretion of the Studio Director and shall not establish a precedent for future exceptions.

Withdrawal from Classes
We understand that circumstances sometimes require a student to discontinue classes before the end of the season.
Should withdrawal become necessary, the responsible party must notify North Beach School of Dance in writing.
Enrollment remains active—and tuition continues to be the responsibility of the account holder—until written notice has been received and processed by the studio.
Withdrawal from classes does not entitle the responsible party to refunds for tuition already paid, registration fees, costume fees, production fees, workshops, camps, or other previously incurred expenses.

Financial Responsibility
The individual completing registration accepts full financial responsibility for all tuition, fees, and charges associated with the student's enrollment.
It is the responsibility of each family to ensure that contact information—including email address, telephone number, and mailing address—remains current within Studio Pro.
Failure to receive an invoice, email reminder, account notification, or other studio communication does not relieve the responsible party of their financial obligations.

Maintaining accurate contact information helps us communicate efficiently and provide timely reminders regarding tuition, schedules, performances, and other important studio updates.

A Note About Communication
At North Beach School of Dance, we believe that clear communication builds strong relationships.
If your family experiences unexpected financial hardship, we encourage you to contact the Studio Director as soon as possible. While studio policies must be applied consistently and fairly, early communication often allows us to discuss available options before an account becomes significantly past due.
Our goal is always to approach these conversations with professionalism, understanding, and mutual respect.

• Cover-ups must be worn when entering and leaving the studio.
• Dance shoes are for studio use only.
• Dress code and hair requirements are available on the website and parent portal.

Classroom Expectations
A positive classroom environment allows every student to learn confidently and enjoy their dance education.
Students are expected to contribute to that environment by demonstrating respect, responsibility, and kindness at all times, to themselves, their peers, and their teachers.
Students are expected to:
• Arrive on time and prepared for class.
• Listen attentively and follow instructor directions.
• Demonstrate respect toward instructors, staff, classmates, volunteers, and studio property.

North Beach School of Dance reserves the right to suspend or dismiss any student whose repeated behavior significantly disrupts the learning environment or fails to comply with studio policies.

Whenever possible, concerns will first be addressed through communication with both the student and parent or guardian.

At North Beach School of Dance, student safety and privacy will always take precedence over convenience.
To help provide a safe, respectful, and distraction-free learning environment, personal electronic devices—including cell phones, smart watches, tablets, and similar devices—must remain powered off or on silent while students are participating in studio activities.
Electronic devices are not permitted inside dance studios or dressing rooms at any time.
Students may use electronic devices only in the lobby before or after class.
Photography, video recording, or social media use within dressing rooms is strictly prohibited.
Any student found using an electronic device in a restricted area may be asked to surrender the device to studio staff for the remainder of their visit. Devices will be returned directly to a parent or guardian at dismissal.

North Beach School of Dance reserves the right to address repeated violations through additional disciplinary action when necessary.

Food & Drinks
Food, gum, and flavored beverages are not permitted in studios. Students are encouraged to bring water in a secure, spill-resistant bottle. Water bottles should remain in the dressing room; instructors provide water breaks as needed.

Parent Responsibilities
Parents and guardians play an important role in the success of every dancer.
To help us create the best possible experience for every student, families are expected to support their dancer by helping them arrive prepared, encouraging consistent attendance, and communicating openly with the studio throughout the season.
To help ensure the safety and organization of daily studio operations, we ask that families:
• Ensure students arrive on time and ready for class.
• Pick students up promptly following class dismissal.
• Notify the studio office if arrival for pick-up will be delayed by more than ten (10) minutes.
• Maintain current contact information within Studio Pro.
• Review Studio Pro, email, newsletters, the studio website, and official social media channels regularly for important announcements and schedule updates.
Students may not leave the studio premises unaccompanied unless an Authorization to Leave form has been completed and is on file with North Beach School of Dance.
Students who drive themselves to and from the studio are exempt from this requirement.
