STARZ DANCE STUDIO, INCORPORATED POLICIES AND AGREEMENT
30 dance classes are included in our dance season, including tech rehearsal and recital. Tuition is divided into 9 monthly payments. Tuition is due the first day of class each month. We allow until the 5th of the month before a $5 late fee is incurred. Auto payment arrangements must be made with the front desk. Late fees will accumulate throughout the dance season. Tuition is due regardless of student attendance. Make up classes are usually not an option. Starz will close for approx. 2 weeks for Christmas break and 1 week for Spring break. All other cancellations will be posted in our monthly newsletter. Classes cancelled due to bad weather may have a makeup day. This will depend on any extra dates on our calendar beyond the 30 classes we guarantee.
Tuition Payment Policy
Cash payments should be made in person at the front desk and a receipt can be issued. Payments may be made online through our parent portal, through Venmo, credit card on file, or ACH payment. There are NO REFUNDS for registration fees at any time. Returned checks for nonpayment will be charged a $30 fee plus the amount of the original check and any fees incurred by Starz. Starz has the right to refuse checks at any time. If a student withdraws after the 1st day of any given month, full tuition is due for that month.
To Withdraw a Student from Starz Dance Studio Incorporated
1. Proper notification in writing is required. Please include dancer’s name, parent’s name, and class day/time.
2. Must be signed and dated by the director of Starz to be valid. That is the date your withdrawal will be in effect.
3. All tuition through that month, costume fees, competition fees, & applicable re-blocking fees will be due at the time of withdrawal.
4. There are NO REFUNDS of unused tuition or costume fees or competition fees.
5. If costumes have been ordered for your dancer and you withdraw before they arrive, they must be picked up by May 1st of this contracted year. After that date, Starz cannot be held liable for their storage at our facility.
Class Costume payments and Policies
Recreational class costumes are ordered as early as October. At least 50% deposit of the total costume fee is required by October 15th of this contracted year. All students registered as of this date may have costumes ordered. If you do not wish to have a costume ordered for your dancer, a written request must be received by October 1st. This notification must be signed and dated by the Starz director. Any remaining costume balance must be paid by November 15th. Competition costumes are ordered as early as September. At least 50% deposit of the total costume fee is required by September 15th of this contracted year. Any costume balance must be paid by October 15th. Any costume payments made after December 1st will have a $50 late fee per costume added to your account. There are NO REFUNDS on costume fees after November 1st. We do everything possible to order correct sizes and measure to leave growing room. However, MOST costumes will need minor alterations. These are the responsibility of the parent. If a parent insists a costume be reordered in a different size, there will be a $45 fee to cover shipping and restock fees, UNLESS the studio director agrees the costume should be resized. All students are guaranteed 1 pair of tights with costumes. If costumes have been ordered for your dancer and you withdraw before they arrive, they must be picked up by May 1st of this contracted year. After that date, Starz cannot be held liable for their storage at our facility. Starz reserves the right to withhold costumes, pictures, tickets and recital privileges from students that have delinquent account with Starz. ALL accounts must be paid in FULL by May 1st of this contracted year.
Safety/security
For the safety and protection of our dancers, teachers and families, we do have a security system that records both audio and video inside each studio. Dancers should wait inside for their rides or for dance to start. Dancers should not loiter in the common area where the restrooms are located.
PHOTO AND VIDEO RELEASE
Students of Starz Dance Studio may be photographed or videotaped at various dance events. These photos may be included in Starz Dance Studio publications or advertisements, including our website and various social media sites. No financial compensation shall be given for use of any photograph or video. I consent to and authorize the use by Starz Dance Studio of any and all photographs or video which have been taken of my child.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF RISK
COVID-19 is a serious and contagious disease. You can contract COVID-19 from a variety of sources. A person may have the virus and not show symptoms and still be contagious. Detecting who is infected can be challenging. I accept there is a risk of contracting the COVID-19 virus or ANY OTHER VIRUS at Starz Dance Studio and accept that I could contract viruses from a source outside of Starz Dance Studio.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY OF INJURIES
I understand that Starz Dance Studio Incorporated, It’s owners, property owners, and/or employees cannot and will not be held liable for accidents or injuries to students or patrons of Starz Dance Studio Incorporated while participating in or attending a Starz Dance Studio event or class. I understand the risk of injury and accidents participating in a dance program and agree to assume all responsibility for all injuries and accidents to myself, the enrolled Starz student and other non-student patrons.
