City Ballet of Maryland
Student Enrollment & Liability Agreement
1. Term of Agreement

The CBM training season begins in September and concludes in June of the contracted academic year.

By enrolling, the Parent/Guardian or Adult Student agrees to a full-season commitment regardless of attendance.

Dancers may join the program at any point during the academic term; however, all enrollment agreements conclude in June of the same academic year, and tuition obligations remain in effect through the end of the contracted season.

2. Tuition & Payment

Tuition is divided into 10 equal monthly payments from September through June.

Payments are due on the 1st of each month.

Dancers may withdraw from classes at any time; however, tuition is still due for the full duration of the contract.

Late or missed payments may incur a late fee and could impact class participation.

3. Attendance & Participation

Students are expected to attend scheduled classes regularly.

CBM reserves the right to adjust class placement or schedule as needed.

Absences should be communicated to the studio in advance whenever possible.

4. Liability & Injury

Participation in dance classes and activities involves inherent risks of injury.

The Parent/Guardian or Adult Student acknowledges these risks and agrees that City Ballet of Maryland, its staff, and affiliates are not liable for any injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, performances, or related activities.

Students participate at their own risk and are encouraged to consult a physician prior to participation if necessary.

5. Photography & Video Consent

CBM may take photographs, videos, or recordings of students during classes, rehearsals, or performances for promotional, educational, or archival purposes.

By signing this agreement, the Parent/Guardian or Adult Student grants CBM permission to use images or recordings for such purposes.

If you wish to opt out of photography/video, please notify the studio in writing prior to the first class.

6. Code of Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves respectfully toward instructors, staff, and fellow students.

CBM reserves the right to address disruptive or unsafe behavior as deemed necessary, up to and including dismissal from classes.

7. Withdrawal & Refunds

Written notice is required for withdrawal from classes.

Tuition remains due for the remainder of the contract period, regardless of withdrawal.

Refunds for unused classes or partial attendance are not provided.

8. Agreement Acknowledgment

By registering for the program, the Parent/Guardian or Adult Student acknowledges that they have read, understand, and agree to the terms outlined above.
