📌 Studio Policies
☁️ Weather Policy
Miami Ballet Academy follows local weather advisories for the North Miami area. In the event of severe weather (such as hurricanes, flooding, or unsafe road conditions), we may close the studio or switch to virtual classes.
• Closures will be announced via WhatsApp, email, and social media at least 1–2 hours before class time whenever possible.
• Missed classes due to weather can be made up within the same session, based on availability.
🤧 Make-Up Classes & Absences
If your child is sick or needs to miss a class, they are welcome to make up the class on another day, within the same session or month (as space allows).
• Missed classes are non-refundable.
• Please notify us in advance if your child will be absent so we can recommend a suitable make-up option.
💳 Tuition & Payment Policy
• Tuition is due at the beginning of each month, no later than the 5th of the month.
• A $15 late fee will be applied to payments received after the 5th unless prior arrangements have been made.
• Monthly tuition is based on the number of weeks with scheduled classes throughout the school year, and is averaged to create a consistent monthly payment. This means that holidays and breaks are already factored in, and tuition remains the same each month unless otherwise noted.
We appreciate timely payments so we can continue to offer the best experience for our dancers and families.
🩰 Injury Waiver & Liability
By enrolling in our programs, you acknowledge that dance and fitness activities involve physical movement and carry a risk of injury. While our instructors prioritize safety and proper technique, Miami Ballet Academy, its staff, and affiliates are not liable for any injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, or events.
Please notify your child’s teacher of any injuries or medical conditions before class. Participation is voluntary and at the student’s own risk.
📸 Photo & Video Release
Miami Ballet Academy occasionally takes photos and videos during classes, camps, and performances to celebrate our students and promote the studio. These may be used on:
• Our website
• Social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.)
• Flyers, posters, or other promotional materials
By attending classes, you grant us permission to use images of your child unless you submit a written opt-out request to miamiballetacademy@gmail.com
