Code of Conduct: Students are expected to show respect to instructors and peers at all times. This includes listening attentively, following instructions, and maintaining a positive attitude. Disruptive or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action. Parents are expected to support a positive environment by encouraging their children and adhering to the studio policies. Any concerns or issues should be addressed privately with the studio staff. It is essential that all students and families demonstrate values of high integrity and genuine respect and kindness for one’s self.
Studio Etiquette: Students and guests are expected to clean up after themselves and maintain a tidy environment. Only approved food or drinks are allowed in the studio. Dancers should have spill proof water bottles. Students should use the restrooms for changing and the waiting areas for resting. Parents and siblings should wait in the lobby, outdoors, or in their vehicles.
Health and Safety Guidelines: Students should stay home if they are feeling unwell, especially if they have symptoms of contagious illnesses. Please inform the studio if your child will be absent due to illness. All injuries must be reported to the instructor immediately. An incident report will be completed, and parents will be notified. In case of a serious injury, emergency medical services will be contacted.
Arrival & Pick-Up: Arrive 10 minutes before your scheduled class and ensure timely pick-up. Parents/guardians are expected to pick up students promptly. If you are delayed, please call the studio.
Attendance and Tardiness: Regular attendance is crucial for progress in dance. Students are expected to attend all scheduled classes. If a student will be absent, parents must notify the studio in advance by contacting (980) 938-0011. Excessive absences may result in reassessment of class placement. Students should arrive on time for all classes. If a student arrives more than 10 minutes late, they may be asked to sit and observe the class to avoid injury and/or disruption. Repeated tardiness may result in an action-plan meeting with the instructor and parents.
Makeup Class Policy: Students are permitted 2 makeup classes for the year for any missed classes due to illness or family emergencies. Weather-related closures will be rescheduled and information shared as soon as possible. To schedule a makeup class, please contact the office via phone or email. Makeup classes must be scheduled in advance and are subject to availability. Makeup classes must be from the same or a lower level and expire at the end of the dance season or upon dropping the class. No refunds or credits for unused makeup classes.
Inclement Weather Policy: Closures due to inclement weather will be announced via email, social media, and our studio app by 2 PM on the day of the closure. Makeup classes will be scheduled and families notified ASAP.
