Terms and Conditions / Liability Waiver

Introduction

Welcome to Dance Manch. By registering for and using the services provided by Dance Manch, the participant (hereinafter referred to as the “Student” or “Parent/Guardian” for minors) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions and Liability Waiver.

All students must complete the online registration process prior to attending any class. Dance Manch does not accept walk-in or unregistered students.

By completing the online registration, the Student or Parent/Guardian acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions, Liability Waiver, and any other applicable Dance Manch policies.

Registration will not be considered complete until the online payment method has been set up, all required fees (if applicable) have been paid, and the Terms and Conditions, Liability Waiver, and any other applicable Dance Manch policies outlined below have been accepted prior to attending any Dance Manch classes or activities.

Terms and Conditions

1. Enrollment and Registration

Students must meet the age and experience requirements specified for each class.

Parents/Guardians of minor students must provide accurate registration information and any necessary documentation.

Dance Manch reserves the right to refuse enrollment or discontinue the provision of services at its sole discretion, based on its established policies, guidelines, safety considerations, class requirements, availability, or other relevant factors.

2. Tuition and Fees

The class fees and class duration differ for each age group. The first and last month’s fees, along with the mandatory registration fees, are charged at the time of enrollment. The first month’s fees will apply to the month when the student starts the class, and the last month will be June or the final month of their committed season.

Starting from the second month, monthly tuition will be charged through autopay on the 1st of each month until the second-to-last month of the commitment period.

The registration fee is valid until the end of the official annual year of Dance Manch, which concludes in June. If you choose to withdraw during the ongoing season and intend to rejoin before the final month, you will be required to pay the registration fee again.

Please note that all credit card payments will incur a 3% processing fee per transaction.

Payment for classes must be made in full before the start of each term, month, or session, as per the chosen payment option. Access to classes may be withheld until full payment has been received.

Please ensure that you have set up autopay on your online portal and keep track of your credit card expiration dates.

If you miss your due date, a late payment fee of $10 per week may be charged, as determined by Dance Manch.

Dance Manch plans to provide an average of four (4) classes per month; however, the number of classes in any given month is not guaranteed. Tuition is charged on a monthly basis and not on a per-class basis. Therefore, full monthly tuition will be charged regardless of the number of classes held in a particular month, including months with fewer than four (4) classes or scheduled holidays. No make-up classes will be provided for such months.

If a month includes five (5) class weeks, the additional class may be used as a make-up class for a past or future class cancelled by Dance Manch, or it may be treated as an additional class subject to separate tuition or fees, at the sole discretion of Dance Manch.

New students are welcome to attend one complimentary trial class at Dance Manch, subject to availability of the offer.

The trial class is complimentary only if the student chooses not to continue after the trial class.

If the student chooses to continue after the trial class, the trial class will be considered the student’s initial class session, and regular tuition will apply.

If a student joins classes in the middle of the month, the full monthly tuition for that month will apply. However, there is no guarantee that extra classes will be offered to cover missed sessions. Additionally, the respective instructor may, at their discretion, provide class videos to assist the student in learning any missed dance routines.

If a student joins after choreography for a performance has already begun and is selected to participate in any previously taught dance routine(s), the student will be responsible for paying the applicable tuition from the date those dance routine(s) began.

If a student misses any classes during the year for any reason, class fees will continue to be charged in full. No refunds, credits, fee adjustments, or make-up classes will be provided for missed classes or missed months.

If a student is unable to attend classes in person due to an injury, illness, or any other medical condition but wishes to participate in any upcoming performances for the ongoing routine, regular monthly tuition will continue to apply to reserve the student’s place in the class and performance and provide access to educational materials, including class videos shared with the group. Since missed choreography, formations, and other class material require additional instructional time from the instructor once the student returns to class after the absence, tuition will not be reduced, refunded, credited, or prorated due to such absences.

If a student misses classes due to a medical reason and is unable to participate in performances, Dance Manch may, at its sole discretion, review the circumstances on a case-by-case basis, provided that appropriate supporting documentation, such as an official doctor’s note, is submitted. Any accommodation, if approved, will be determined solely by Dance Manch.

3. Class Schedule and Cancellations

Dance Manch’s class schedule will be shared with enrolled students and their parents or guardians upon registration.

Dance Manch reserves the right to cancel or reschedule classes due to unforeseen circumstances, low enrollment, or other operational factors.

In the event of a class cancellation, Dance Manch may make reasonable efforts to offer a make-up class; however, a make-up class is not guaranteed. No refunds, credits, or prorated tuition will be provided if a make-up class cannot be offered.

Additional rehearsals or supplementary classes may be scheduled alongside regular sessions. These may be required for upcoming recitals, events, or performances organized or participated in by Dance Manch and may also serve to compensate for missed sessions. These will be considered pre- or post-make-up classes depending on the ongoing school schedule.

Scheduling of supplementary rehearsals or classes will be based on the convenience of the majority.

Attendance at supplementary rehearsals or classes is mandatory for students to remain eligible to participate in any upcoming event, including but not limited to Dance Manch recitals, community performances, private events, or competitions. Failure to attend may result in disqualification from the event. No refunds or credits will be issued for missed rehearsals or performance opportunities.

Regular class attendance is essential to ensure continuity in learning and group coordination. If a student is absent, it is the joint responsibility of the student and parent/guardian to review shared class videos to learn the missed choreography.

Make-up classes may be attended at a different Dance Manch location, subject to availability. Students must confirm with their instructor in advance. Please note that make-up sessions may cover different material than the missed class.

Dance Manch does not offer prorated fees, refunds, or account credits for missed classes. Monthly tuition will not be paused or frozen for vacations, travel, or personal absences.

During rehearsal periods for any event organized, managed, or participated in by Dance Manch, students must notify their instructor in advance if they are unable to attend. Last-minute cancellations or repeated absences may result in removal from the performance or cancellation of group participation in the event.

Dance Manch reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify any upcoming event, including those it organizes or participates in, due to unforeseen circumstances, safety concerns, venue issues, low participation, or other factors beyond its control. In such cases, Dance Manch will make reasonable efforts to communicate any changes in a timely manner.

Please note the following official holidays for Dance Manch:

* Labor Day
* Thanksgiving Break (typically observed from Thursday through Saturday)
* Christmas & New Year Break (typically observed from December 21 through January 4)

If a scheduled class falls during any official Dance Manch holiday or scheduled break, it will be considered part of the monthly tuition and will not be rescheduled, refunded, credited, or prorated.

4. Health and Safety

Students and parents/guardians must inform Dance Manch of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or other health-related concerns that may affect a student’s participation, safety, or ability to fully participate in classes, performances, or any activities and services provided by Dance Manch.

Parents/guardians must disclose any specific needs, support requirements, or accommodations needed by the student prior to registration. Dance Manch will review such information on a case-by-case basis to determine whether the studio environment, class structure, and available resources can safely and effectively support the student. Please note that Dance Manch instructors are not specifically trained to provide specialized instruction or one-on-one support for students requiring significant accommodations. Enrollment decisions will be based on the safety and well-being of all students and instructors, as well as Dance Manch’s ability to provide an appropriate learning environment.

All participants are expected to adhere to Dance Manch’s health and safety guidelines, including proper attire and conduct during classes.
Dance Manch will take reasonable precautions to provide a safe environment, but participants are responsible for ensuring their fitness for dance activities.
All students and parents are required to notify Dance Manch of any illness and adhere to medical advice, including staying home as advised by doctors. This policy applies to past, current, and potential future viral infections or viruses to safeguard the health of all participants and teachers.
While creating a motivating atmosphere is important, and offering food, beverages, and rewards like candy or other treats can be beneficial, it is crucial for students or parents to inform their respective teachers of any food allergies to ensure everyone’s safety.
Dance Manch will not be responsible for any allergies, sickness, or incidents arising from the consumption of food or beverages, whether brought in by students and parents or provided by Dance Manch, teachers, class-moms, volunteers, vendors, or others during classes or events.

5. Code of Conduct

To proceed with enrollment at Dance Manch, students, parents, and guardians are expected to maintain a respectful, supportive, and inclusive environment toward Dance Manch, its instructors, staff, and fellow students. Respectful conduct is a fundamental part of our community.

Dance Manch maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward disruptive, disrespectful, or inappropriate behavior, including but not limited to:

* Harassment, bullying, verbal abuse, threats, or any behavior that creates an unsafe environment
* Disrespectful conduct toward instructors, staff, or classmates
* Attempts to alter or interfere with choreography, music, costume design, class structure, or student positioning determined by Dance Manch.
* Spreading gossip, misinformation, or engaging in behavior intended to negatively impact the Dance Manch community
* Interference with instructional, creative, or administrative decisions made by Dance Manch

Violation of these standards may result in disciplinary action, including immediate termination of enrollment without refund, at the sole discretion of Dance Manch.

Proper dance attire is required for all classes, and unnecessary or excessive jewelry is not permitted. Students are expected to follow appropriate classroom etiquette, including minimizing side conversations and keeping questions focused on class-related topics.

Dance Manch reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or discontinue services to any student, parent, or guardian who fails to comply with these standards or whose conduct negatively impacts the safety, learning environment, or integrity of the program.

6. Communication

In addition to conventional communication methods such as calls, emails, or text messages, Dance Manch may use platforms like WhatsApp groups to discuss class schedules, upcoming events, and share daily class videos. Only active, registered students and parents/guardians will have access to these official groups.

Conversations within these groups should be limited to topics related to Dance Manch classes and activities. Issues regarding payments, account inquiries, or other non-class-related matters should be addressed through appropriate communication channels and will not be handled within class group chats. Failure to follow communication guidelines may result in removal from the groups.

7. Commitments and Termination/Dropout

Dance Manch operates on a yearly commitment basis, with the Fall semester running from August through June of the following year (11 months). Enrollment commitments may not be terminated during this period.

June marks the end of the commitment period. Once June concludes, enrollment will automatically end, and participants will need to re-register for the next semester, summer classes, or summer camps.

If a student or parent/guardian chooses to discontinue enrollment before the end of the commitment period, no refunds, credits, or fee adjustments will be issued, and any advance payment made for the final month (June) will remain non-refundable.

If a student, parent, or guardian determines that the class is not a suitable fit, they must notify the instructor immediately following the first (trial) class and before attending the second class to avoid any further financial obligation.

Dance Manch reserves the right to terminate enrollment without refund if a participant violates these Terms and Conditions, disrupts the learning environment, or engages in behavior deemed harmful to others or disruptive to the Dance Manch learning environment.

8. Costumes and Accessories Policy

If Dance Manch is providing costumes and/or jewelry for participating students, Dance Manch will make reasonable efforts to accommodate available sizes. However, a perfect fit is not guaranteed, and minor alterations or adjustments may be necessary.

All participants and performers are responsible for applicable rental fees, deposits, and any other charges associated with costumes and jewelry provided by Dance Manch.

* The costume rental fee is $35 or more, depending on costume requirements, event needs, and production requirements.
* The jewelry rental fee ranges from $10 to $15 per set, depending on the item and event.
* If any additional purchases (such as props, accessories, or alternate costumes) are required or purchased by class representatives, volunteers, or other class members, participants must coordinate directly with them and make payment accordingly.
* In some cases, Dance Manch may require individual students or groups of students to purchase their own costumes due to sizing concerns, comfort preferences, or choreography requirements.

Costume Care Requirements:

* Upon receiving the costume, parents and participants must inspect the costume immediately and report any damage, wear, or tears to Dance Manch without delay.
* Failure to report such issues at the time of receipt may result in the participant being held responsible for any damage identified thereafter.
* Parents must take a photo or short video of the costume upon receipt and again after cleaning to confirm proper handling.
* All costumes must be cleaned according to Dance Manch’s care instructions before being returned.
* Costumes and accessories will be collected a few days after each event to allow time for cleaning and processing.
* Costumes must be returned within the specified timeframe. A late return fee of $25 per week may apply for costumes returned after the deadline.
* If a costume is lost, significantly damaged, or returned in unacceptable condition, the $100 deposit may be forfeited, and additional charges may apply based on repair or replacement costs.
* If the deposit is not submitted, Dance Manch reserves the right to charge the payment method on file, including applicable processing and replacement fees.

Jewelry and props required for performances are mandatory and must be purchased or arranged as directed. Specific details will be communicated in advance.
