BAY DANCE COLLECTIVE TUITION POLICY
Welcome to Bay Dance Collective. We are dedicated to providing high-quality dance education and training in a nurturing and supportive environment. This policy provides information about tuition, payment methods, refunds, cancellations, make-up classes, discounts, and other financial considerations.

1. REGISTRATION FEE
A non-refundable registration fee of $30 per student, per season is required upon enrollment.
Bay Dance Collective operates two seasons each year: Spring and Fall.
The registration fee is capped at $90 per family, per season. This covers up to three students per family. Registration fees for additional students beyond three are waived.
The registration fee is required each season a student enrolls, regardless of how many classes or programs the student registers for.
THE REGISTRATION FEE COVERS
• Paperwork processing and system setup
• Student insurance
• Music licensing fees
• Studio communication and administrative costs
These expenses are separate from class tuition.

2. TUITION RATES
Tuition is billed by season. Summer camps and intensives are billed separately according to the individual camp or intensive.
PAYMENT SERVICE FEES
Credit Card: 3% per transaction
ACH: 1% per transaction
Zelle: No service fee
To avoid payment service fees, we recommend using Zelle:

Please allow up to 3 business days for your account balance to be updated after a Zelle payment.
PRIVATE AND SEMI-PRIVATE LESSONS
Private Lesson: 120–150 per hour, depending on teacher
Non-registered students: additional $30 per hour
Semi-Private Lesson: 60–75 per hour, depending on teacher
Non-registered students: additional $30 per hour
Small Group — 3–5 Students: $50 per student per hour
Available to registered students only.
LARGE GROUP RATES — 6+ STUDENTS
Pre-Ballet and Ages 8 and Under: $30 per hour
Class size: 5–14 students
Ballet I–IV, Competitive Teams, and Adult Classes: $27 per hour
Class size: 6–18 students
ADULT CLASSES — FLEXIBLE PAYMENT OPTIONS
Drop-In — 2-hour class: $50
5-Class Card: 3% discount
10-Class Card: 5% discount
Class cards may be purchased through the student portal under “Shop.” Staff will check students in upon arrival.
TRIAL AND DROP-IN RATES
1-hour class: $30
1.5-hour class: $40
2-hour class: $55

3. PAYMENT POLICIES
DUE DATES
Tuition for each season (Spring and Fall) will be due within 2 weeks after enrollment or 1 week before the start of the season, whichever comes first.
Payment schedule and due date will be provided during enrollment and/or displayed in the student portal.
A non-refundable $25 late fee may be applied to payments received after the applicable due date.

4. CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY
All cancellation requests must be submitted by email to:
info@baydancecollective.com
Verbal requests, text messages, social media messages, or other forms of notification will not be accepted as official cancellation requests.
Refund eligibility is determined by the date the written cancellation request is received.
REGULAR SEASONAL CLASSES
30+ DAYS BEFORE SEASON START: 100% refund to the original payment method.
15–29 DAYS BEFORE SEASON START: 75% refund or school credit.
WITHIN 14 DAYS OF SEASON START: 50% refund or school credit.
AFTER SEASON START: No refund or credit for the current month; 50% school credit for the remaining months of the season.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS
• No refunds are provided for missed classes. Make-up classes may be available according to the Make-Up Class Policy.
• Credits may be considered for absences exceeding 5 consecutive weeks due to unforeseen medical conditions or injury, subject to studio approval and appropriate documentation.
• If a balance refund is issued for a cancelled class, a $20 processing fee per cancelled class will apply.
• No processing fee will be charged when the applicable amount is issued as school credit instead of a refund.
SUMMER CAMPS
30+ DAYS BEFORE CAMP START
100% refund to the original payment method.
15–30 DAYS BEFORE CAMP START
50% refund or school credit.
WITHIN 14 DAYS OF CAMP START
No refund or credit.
A $25 processing fee per cancelled camp applies to refunds.

5. MAKE-UP CLASS POLICY
We encourage students to attend all scheduled classes and arrive on time. However, we understand that occasional absences may occur.
MISSED CLASSES
• No refunds or credits are provided for missed classes.
• Tuition will not be pro-rated for missed lessons.
COMPLIMENTARY MAKE-UPS
Each student receives 2 complimentary make-up classes per season.
ADDITIONAL MAKE-UPS
After the first two complimentary make-up classes, additional make-ups are subject to a $5 processing fee per class.
MISSED MAKE-UP CLASSES
Make-up fees are non-refundable if a scheduled make-up class is missed or forfeited.
MAKE-UP CLASS AVAILABILITY
Make-up classes are not guaranteed and are subject to class availability.
Bay Dance Collective reserves the right to cancel or reschedule a make-up class.

6. DISCOUNTS AND SCHOLARSHIPS
SIBLING DISCOUNT
Bay Dance Collective offers a 10% tuition discount for additional children enrolled from the same family.
The sibling discount:
• Applies to additional children whose tuition is equal to or less than the tuition of the highest-tuition enrolled child.
• Applies to tuition only.
• Does not apply to registration fees, costumes, competition fees, camps, choreography, or other additional expenses.
• Is applied automatically when two or more eligible children from the same family are enrolled.
SCHOLARSHIPS
Bay Dance Collective does not currently offer scholarships.
If you know of individuals, organizations, or donors interested in supporting access to dance education, please contact the studio office.

7. ADDITIONAL COSTS
Additional expenses may apply depending on the student's classes, performances, competitions, and other activities.
RECITAL PERFORMANCE FEES

Includes 2–4 complimentary tickets.
GROUP COSTUME PURCHASE OR RENTAL
40–150
For rental costumes, the full replacement cost may be charged if a costume is lost or damaged.
SOLO COSTUME PURCHASE
$80+
CHOREOGRAPHY FEES
Varies by choreographer and routine. In-house choreography rates may be more competitive.
TEACHER'S TRAVEL EXPENSES FOR COMPETITIONS
Varies by event. Details will be provided for specific competitions and events.

8. WAIVER OF LIABILITY
By participating in classes, programs, performances, or other activities at Bay Dance Collective, I, the legal parent or guardian, acknowledge and agree to the following:
ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I understand that dance and related physical activities involve inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to sprains, strains, fractures, falls, and other injuries. I voluntarily assume these risks.
PHYSICAL CONDITION
I certify that the participating student is physically able to participate in the selected activities. I agree to inform Bay Dance Collective and its instructors of any physical limitations or restrictions that may affect participation.
RELEASE OF LIABILITY
To the extent permitted by applicable law, I release, waive, discharge, and covenant not to sue Bay Dance Collective, its instructors, employees, agents, and representatives for claims arising from injury, loss, or damage sustained during participation in studio activities, except to the extent such liability cannot legally be waived.
INDEMNIFICATION
To the extent permitted by applicable law, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bay Dance Collective from losses, liabilities, or costs arising from my or the participating student's participation in studio activities.
PHOTOGRAPHIC AND VIDEO RELEASE
I consent to the use of photographs and/or videos taken during classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, and studio events for promotional, educational, archival, and studio-related purposes without compensation.
EMERGENCY MEDICAL TREATMENT
In the event of an emergency, I authorize Bay Dance Collective to seek or obtain appropriate medical treatment for the participating student when reasonably necessary.
I understand that I am financially responsible for medical expenses incurred.
GOVERNING LAW
This waiver shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.
I acknowledge that I have read this waiver, understand its terms, understand that I may be giving up substantial legal rights, including the right to sue in certain circumstances, and voluntarily agree to its terms.

9. PRIVACY POLICY
Bay Dance Collective ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting the privacy of our students, families, and website visitors.
INFORMATION WE COLLECT
We may collect information that you voluntarily provide, including your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, registration and enrollment information, payment and transaction information, and other information necessary to provide our services.
We may also automatically collect certain non-personal information when you use our website, such as browser type, operating system, IP address, and website usage information through cookies and similar technologies.
HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION
We may use collected information to:
• Process registrations and transactions
• Manage student accounts
• Communicate with students and families
• Send newsletters, updates, and promotional communications where permitted
• Improve our website, programs, and services
• Maintain studio records
• Comply with applicable legal obligations
SHARING YOUR INFORMATION
We do not sell or rent personal information.
We may share information with trusted service providers who assist us with payment processing, registration, communications, website services, or other studio operations, provided they use the information only for authorized purposes.
We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect the rights, safety, or property of Bay Dance Collective, our students, families, or others.
SECURITY
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.
YOUR CHOICES
You may opt out of promotional communications by following the unsubscribe instructions included in applicable emails or by contacting us directly.
Certain operational communications, such as registration, billing, account, or safety-related communications, may still be sent when necessary to provide our services.
CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Bay Dance Collective serves children and families and takes the privacy of minors seriously.
We collect and use information about student participants as reasonably necessary to provide dance instruction, manage enrollment, communicate with parents or guardians, and operate our programs.
Parents or legal guardians may contact us regarding personal information associated with their child and may request appropriate corrections or deletion, subject to applicable legal and operational requirements.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Updated policies will be posted on our website and will become effective upon posting unless otherwise stated.
