Policy Agreement & Liability Waiver
Dance Season: August 2025 – May 20th , 2026

Commitment Agreement
By enrolling in A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio, I understand that I am committing to a 10-month dance season. Dance is a team-based, disciplined art form, and consistent participation is essential for both individual and group progress. Enrollment is limited, and each dancer’s commitment is vital.
Class Withdrawal Policy
• A 30-day written notice is required to withdraw from any class.
• No class withdrawals will be accepted after October 2025 or after February 2026, due to the nature of group choreography and performance preparations.
• Any dancer who withdraws after these deadlines will be responsible for the remaining semesters tuition,

Tuition & Payment Policies
• Tuition is based on the full dance season and is not prorated for attendance.
• Mid-season enrollment will be prorated from the date of enrollment.
• Missed classes and studio closures (e.g., holidays, weather) will not be refunded.
Monthly Tuition
• Due on the 1st of each month.
• A $10 late fee applies after the 7th of the month.
• Tuition covers a minimum of 35 weeks of instruction.
Registration Requirements
Enrollment is not complete until the following are submitted:
• Online registration
• Non-refundable first month’s tuition
• Annual registration fee
• Payment plan selection
Auto-Payment
• A valid credit card is required on file for all students.
• Auto-draft will process on the 5th of each month.
• If paying by check or cash by the 1st, your card will not be charged.
• Credit card payments include a small processing fee.
Drop Policy
• A 30-day written notice is required to drop a class.
• Failure to provide proper notice will result in a charge for the following month’s tuition.
• No refunds will be issued for tuition paid without formal notice.
Payment Methods
• Checks and cash may be placed in the studio tuition box (include student name).
• Exact cash only. Change will not be provided.
• Accepted payment methods include check, major credit cards, and cash.

Costume Fees
Costume fees are required for participation in both The Nativity and the Spring Recital and are divided into three payments:
• 1st Payment Due: August 18, 2025
• 2nd Payment Due: September 18, 2025
• 3rd Payment Due: October 16, 2025
The Nativity Rental Costumes include:
• Use for both shows, cleaning fee, and costume bag
• Lost/damaged items will incur the full replacement fee
Spring Recital Costumes are yours to keep and include recital tights.
• Costumes are not custom-fitted. Parents are responsible for alterations for any costume that may need to be altered to fit dancer.
• Notify the studio within 1 week of sizing issues, otherwise a return fee of costume we be required..

Recital Fee
• $35 per family (billed in February 2026), includes 2 tickets
• Additional siblings: $10 each
• No recital fee is charged for The Nativity

• The Nativity: December 13–14, 2025
• Spring Recital: Saturday, May 16, 2026 (Rehearsals will occur during that week)

Studio Holidays
• Labor Day: September 1, 2025
• Thanksgiving Break: November 24–28, 2025
• Christmas Break: December 19, 2025 – January 12, 2026
• Spring Break: TBD

Attendance Policy
• Regular attendance is required.
• Two or more consecutive absences may result in loss of choreography or placement.
• Excessive absences may result in removal from recital routines.
• Dress rehearsals are mandatory for recital participation.
Make-Up Classes
• Available in a similar-level class.
• No refunds or credits for absences.

Weather Policy
In case of inclement weather, closure notices will be posted via:
• Website
• Social Media (Facebook & Instagram)
• Email
No refunds for classes missed due to weather-related closures.

Instructor Contact & Training Environment
Dance instruction may include physical adjustments for posture and alignment. Studio instructors will use appropriate, professional hands-on guidance as part of training.

Studio Expectations
Building Etiquette
• Only students are permitted on the dance floor.
• Lobby noise must remain minimal and contained behind closed doors.
• No food in the studio or lobby areas.
• Students must be picked up inside the building.
• Arrive no more than 5 minutes before class.
• The front door locks at 5:30 PM; back door requires access code.
Classroom Etiquette
• Dancers must wear appropriate dress code attire and secure hairstyles (ballet = bun).
• No gum, phones, or loud talking.
• Dancers should be respectful, arrive on time, and participate fully.
• Illness or injury should be communicated to the instructor.
• No touching mirrors or hanging on barres.
• No cell phone in studio room
Dress Code
• No t-shirts or gym shorts in ballet or jazz.
• Hair must be off the face and neck.
• Underwear should not be visible.
• Only small earrings allowed; no watches or fitness trackers.
Parking
• Additional parking is available on Toombs Street.
• Dancers needing to change should enter through the back door.

Issue Resolution
We are committed to respectful and constructive communication.
Please:
• Do not interrupt classes to discuss concerns.
• Schedule a meeting with the Director for private matters.
• Refrain from addressing issues with other parents or children at the studio.

Communication
• Studio updates and newsletters will be sent via email.
• Bulletin boards inside the studio will also feature important announcements.
• A valid email address is required to stay informed.

Liability Waiver
I, the undersigned participant or parent/guardian, acknowledge that dance is a physical activity with inherent risks. I hereby release and hold harmless A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio, its staff, instructors,assistants and directors from any liability for injury, illness, or property loss sustained during participation in classes, rehearsals, or performances.
I agree to be financially responsible for any medical treatment required due to participation in studio activities and waive all claims against the studio.

Photo & Media Release
I grant permission for A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio to photograph or video my child for promotional purposes. I agree not to post photos or videos of other students or staff without consent.
No student or parent may represent the studio online without prior authorization. When posting content related to the studio, please tag @atimetodancepas.

Performance Commitment Agreement
Dance is a collaborative and performance-based art. Once choreography begins, the absence of a student affects the entire group. Missed classes may result in:
• Choreography changes
• Extra pressure on fellow students
• Removal from routines if excessive
It is the dancer’s responsibility to learn missed material in order to remain performance-ready.
