POLICY AGREEMENT, LIABILITY WAIVER & MEDIA RELEASE

COMMITMENT AGREEMENT
By enrolling in A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio, I understand that I am committing to the full 2026–2027 dance season. Dance is a team-based, disciplined art form, and consistent participation is essential for both individual and group progress. Enrollment is limited, and each dancer's commitment is vital to the success of classes and performances.
CLASS WITHDRAWAL POLICY
• A 30-day written notice is required to withdraw from any class.
• No class withdrawals will be accepted after October 2026 or after February 2027 due to the nature of group choreography and performance preparations.
• Any dancer who withdraws after these deadlines will be responsible for the remaining season tuition.
• Withdrawal requests must be submitted in writing via email to the studio and confirmed by the studio office.

TUITION & PAYMENT POLICIES
• Tuition is based on the full dance season and is not prorated for attendance.
• Mid-season enrollment will be prorated from the date of enrollment.
• Missed classes and studio closures (including holidays, weather events, utility interruptions, public health concerns, or other circumstances beyond the studio's control) will not be refunded.
MONTHLY TUITION
• Due on the 1st of each month.
• A $10 late fee applies after the 7th of the month.
• Tuition covers a minimum of 35 weeks of instruction.
• Returned checks are subject to a $35 returned check fee.
REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS
Enrollment is not complete until the following are submitted:
• Online registration
• Non-refundable first month's tuition
• Annual registration fee
• Payment plan selection
• Signed waiver and policy agreement
AUTO-PAYMENT
• A valid credit card is required on file for all students.
• Auto-draft will process on the 5th of each month.
• If paying by check or cash by the 1st, your card will not be charged.
• Credit card payments may include a processing fee.
• Families are responsible for keeping payment information current.
DROP POLICY
• A 30-day written notice is required to drop a class.
• Failure to provide proper notice will result in charges for the following month's tuition.
• No refunds will be issued for tuition paid without formal notice.
PAYMENT METHODS
• Checks and cash may be placed in the studio tuition box (include student name).
• Exact cash only. Change will not be provided.
• Accepted payment methods include check, major credit cards, and cash.

COSTUME FEES
Costume fees are required for participation in both The Nativity and the Spring Recital and are divided into three payments.
The Nativity Rental Costumes Include:
• Use for performances
• Cleaning fee
• Costume bag
Lost, stolen, or damaged costume items will incur the full replacement cost.
Spring Recital Costumes:
• Are yours to keep.
• Include recital tights.
• Are not custom-fitted. Parents are responsible for alterations needed for proper fit.
• Any sizing concerns must be reported within one week of costume distribution. After that time, additional fees may apply for exchanges or reorders.
Costume fees are estimates and may be adjusted due to manufacturer pricing changes, shipping costs, tariffs, or vendor increases.
All costume fees are non-refundable once costumes have been ordered.

RECITAL & PERFORMANCE FEES
• Recital Fee: $35 per family (billed February 2027) and includes two recital tickets.
• Additional siblings: $10 each.
• No recital fee is charged for The Nativity.
Performance participation is a privilege, not a guarantee. Students must remain in good financial standing and maintain satisfactory attendance and behavior to participate.

ATTENDANCE POLICY
• Regular attendance is required.
• Two or more consecutive absences may result in loss of choreography or placement changes.
• Excessive absences may result in removal from recital routines.
• Dress rehearsals are mandatory for recital participation.
• Tuition remains due regardless of attendance.
MAKE-UP CLASSES
• Available in a similar-level class when space permits.
• No refunds or credits will be given for absences.

WEATHER, EMERGENCY & FORCE MAJEURE POLICY
In the event of inclement weather, natural disasters, public health emergencies, utility failures, government orders, or circumstances beyond the studio's control, classes may be canceled, rescheduled, moved online, or modified at the studio's discretion.
Closure notices will be communicated through:
• Email
• Studio website
• Social media platforms
• Parent communication systems
No refunds will be issued for closures resulting from circumstances beyond the studio's control.

HEALTH & COMMUNICABLE ILLNESS POLICY
Students who are ill, experiencing fever, vomiting, diarrhea, contagious conditions, or symptoms of communicable illness should remain home.
The studio reserves the right to send home any student exhibiting signs of illness.
Tuition will not be refunded for illness-related absences.

INSTRUCTOR CONTACT & TRAINING ENVIRONMENT
Dance instruction may include physical adjustments for posture, alignment, technique correction, and injury prevention. Studio instructors and assistants will use professional and appropriate hands-on guidance as part of training.

STUDIO EXPECTATIONS
BUILDING ETIQUETTE
• Only students are permitted on the dance floor.
• Lobby noise must remain minimal.
• No food in studio classrooms.
• Students must be picked up inside the building.
• Arrive no more than 5 minutes before class.
• The front door locks at 5:30 PM.
• Back door entry requires access code.
CLASSROOM ETIQUETTE
• Dancers must wear proper dress code attire.
• No gum, phones, or disruptive behavior.
• Dancers should arrive on time and participate fully.
• Illnesses and injuries should be reported to instructors.
• No touching mirrors or hanging on barres.
• No cell phones permitted in the studio rooms.
DRESS CODE
• No t-shirts or gym shorts in ballet or jazz classes.
• Hair must be secured away from the face and neck.
• Underwear should not be visible.
• Only small earrings are permitted.
• No watches, fitness trackers, or distracting jewelry.
PARKING
• Additional parking is available on Toombs Street.
• Students needing to change should use the designated entrance.

BEHAVIOR & DISCIPLINARY POLICY
A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio reserves the right to dismiss any student or family whose conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, abusive, threatening, inappropriate, or detrimental to the learning environment.
No refunds will be issued in cases of dismissal.

ISSUE RESOLUTION
We are committed to respectful and constructive communication.
Please:
• Do not interrupt classes to discuss concerns.
• Schedule a meeting with the Director.
• Refrain from addressing concerns through gossip, social media, or discussions with other students or parents.

COMMUNICATION
• Studio updates and newsletters will be sent via email.
• Bulletin boards and studio communication systems may be used for announcements.
• A valid email address is required for enrollment.
Parents are responsible for reviewing all studio communications.

LIABILITY WAIVER & ASSUMPTION OF RISK
I, the undersigned participant or parent/guardian, understand that dance, acrobatics, conditioning, stretching, performances, rehearsals, travel to events, and related physical activities involve inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to sprains, strains, fractures, falls, head injuries, illness, permanent disability, or death.
I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation in studio activities.
I release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio, its owners, directors, instructors, assistants, employees, volunteers, contractors, landlords, and affiliated organizations from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, demands, actions, causes of action, costs, or expenses arising out of participation in studio activities.
I understand participation is voluntary and assume full responsibility for any injuries or damages sustained.

MEDICAL AUTHORIZATION
In the event of a medical emergency, I authorize A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio personnel to obtain emergency medical treatment for my child when I cannot be reached.
I accept full responsibility for all medical expenses incurred.

PROPERTY LOSS OR DAMAGE
The studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property including clothing, shoes, costumes, jewelry, electronic devices, or personal belongings.

PHOTO, VIDEO & MEDIA RELEASE
I grant permission for A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio to photograph, video record, livestream, and use images or recordings of myself or my child for promotional, educational, recital, website, social media, advertising, and marketing purposes without compensation.
All media created by the studio remains the property of A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio.
Parents and students may not post images or videos of other students, instructors, or staff without permission.
No student or parent may represent the studio publicly or online without authorization.
When posting studio-related content, families are encouraged to tag @atimetodancepas.

PERFORMANCE COMMITMENT AGREEMENT
Dance is a collaborative and performance-based art. Once choreography begins, the absence of a student affects the entire group.
Missed classes may result in:
• Choreography changes
• Additional rehearsals
• Placement changes
• Removal from performances
It is the dancer's responsibility to learn missed choreography and remain performance-ready.
The studio reserves the right to remove a dancer from any performance if attendance, preparation, behavior, financial obligations, or rehearsal participation become unsatisfactory.

ACKNOWLEDGMENT
By checking the agreement box and completing enrollment, I acknowledge that I have read, understood, and agree to abide by all policies, procedures, waivers, releases, and terms contained within this agreement.
I understand that this document constitutes a legally binding agreement between myself and A Time to Dance Performing Arts Studio.
