TUITION & PAYMENT POLICIES
Dance Classes
– Tuition can be paid in full or in 9 equal installments
– First installment is due at the time of registration
– A non-refundable registration fee of $18 + HST per family is required
– Tuition is a fixed monthly fee and is not based on the number of classes in a given month. For example, even if a month has fewer classes due to holidays, the monthly installment remains the same. This ensures equal, predictable payments and covers the full dance season. If a dancer joins partway through the month, the full monthly fee still applies.
2027 DANCE RECITAL & DETAILS
Recital Participation
Participation in our 2027 Recital is strongly encouraged, as it allows dancers to showcase their growth and accomplishments throughout the season. Approximately 95% of our students take part and find it to be an incredibly rewarding experience
Recital Costumes
Each class requires a costume for the year-end recital. Costume fees range from $75–$85 + HST, depending on the class. Guardians will receive a link to a Google Form with detailed instructions on how to measure their child at home. Guardians are responsible for submitting accurate measurements, as these will determine the costume size selected for their dancer. When measuring, please allow approximately 2 inches of room for growth.
Costume costs are non-refundable. Exchanges may be considered only if alternate sizes are available.
Recital Day
The recital is scheduled for Sunday, May 30, 2027, at the Grand River Theatre. Tickets will be $22 all inclusive of fees. A mandatory dress rehearsal will be required during the day with two potential one-hour shows to follow.
SDA PERFORMANCE TEAMS
Performance Team Costumes
Guardians will receive a link to a Google Form with detailed instructions on how to measure their child at home. Guardians are responsible for submitting accurate measurements, as these will determine the costume size selected for their dancer. When measuring, please allow approximately 2 inches of room for growth.
Costume costs are non-refundable. Exchanges may be considered only if alternate sizes are available. Any alteration costs required will be the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
Between Classes
SDA Performance Team Dancers age 10 and up may remain in the Fellowship Hall between classes. During this time, dancers are expected to sit quietly on the lower stairs, respect the space, and clean up after themselves.
Please note that this is an unsupervised time. By allowing your dancer to remain between classes, you acknowledge that they are independently responsible and not under SDA supervision.
For safety reasons, any performance team dancer observed performing acro skills or dance tricks outside of an instructor’s eyesight will no longer be permitted to stay between classes.
