All personal information given to The Dance School is kept private and is not sold, or distributed outside of the school.

This extends to personal and student information - such information will never be shared with unauthorized persons without specific written permission from the account holder.

How our Privacy Policy pertains to your account:

The account holder is the person who sets up the Parent Portal Account in Dance Studio Pro (“DSP”), maintains their login access (username and password), enrolls the student(s) in their household in TDS programming, and is the responsible party for payment of charges on the account. In cases where an adult registers as a student, they are both the account holder (termed the “parent” on the account) and a student on the account.

The account holder may add any number of students onto their account. For each student, the account holder can specify any/all of the following personal identifying information and contact information: name, gender, date of birth, home (mailing) address, student email, phone, allergies, medications, special needs, primary doctor, and emergency contact.

The account holder will receive all email notifications regarding their account and their student(s) enrollments. A student with an email address different from the account holder’s email address will only receive emails specific to their classes/enrollments, plus any school-wide emails that are sent out to all active and/or inactive students. Anyone receiving emails may opt out of receiving future emails (this is not recommended for an active account!).

The account holder may also request that TDS Admin add one or more additional family contacts on their DSP account. This request must be made both in writing (email sent to Admin@thedanceschool.org) and verbally, in person or by phone. The account holder requesting that additional persons be added to their account must specify the contact information (name, email address, and/or phone) and give permission for what forms of communications the additional contact is allowed to receive through Dance Studio Pro: Texts, Calls, Emails, and Statements. If Email contact is permitted, the additional contact will receive all the same emails as the account holder, including emails containing information about the financial status of the account (balance due, payment received, etc.).

Per our privacy policy, the account holder must give their authorization in writing before we will release any personal and student information to any parties not already listed on the account as authorized to receive that information. Additional family contacts will receive only the types of information and forms of communication that has been authorized by the account holder.

Any account holder who has questions about what information we are authorized to communicate to students and additional family contacts listed on an account, or wants to change those choices, should contact the office to review their account communication settings.
