Student/Parent Agreement
Welcome to dance REVOLUTIONS!! To encourage our dancers to “Live, Dream, Dance”, we all
need to work together to provide the best environment possible. Please read the following rules
and regulations with your child and return the signed agreement to the studio.
● Dancers are expected to attend class on a regular basis in order to achieve their full
potential, as well as keep up with choreography for upcoming performances. If your
dancer is going to be absent, please message the teacher through the BAND app or
email jen@dancerevolutions.net. Classes can be viewed on ZOOM with 24 hours notice.
● Dancers are expected to wear appropriate dance attire. All classes require dancers to
wear a leotard and tights, (except for hip hop, tap, and musical theatre). Please do not
wear baggy clothing, as it is important for the teacher to see proper body alignment.
Dancers that choose to wear shorts need to wear tights as well. Dance shoes are
required within one month of enrolling in class.
● Dancers are expected to wear their hair in a bun or ponytail, in order to allow the
teacher to see the lines of the dancer’s neck as well as minimize distractions.
● Dancers should wear minimal jewelry only (ex. stud earrings) in order to minimize
distractions as well reduce the chance for injuries. Please refrain from wearing smart
watches with technology in class, as this can be a distraction as well.
● Gum-chewing is not allowed during class.
● Dancers are expected to be courteous to the teacher, classmates, and others in the
building.
● Running, horseplay, and hanging from the barres are not allowed. Please refrain from
touching the mirrors, stereo equipment, and the teacher’s belongings.
● Dancers are expected to use the bathroom PRIOR to the beginning of class. This is to
maximize instruction time and reduce distractions.
● Please label all of your dancer’s gear! We usually have a huge amount of items in our lost
and found bin (located by the front doors).
● Dancers are expected to bring a water bottle that is spill proof and filled with water only.
We do not have a drinking fountain or cups for water at the studio, and dancers often
get very thirsty.
● Please leave your wet or snowy jackets, boots, and shoes in the downstairs lobby. Coat
hooks and rugs are provided for your use.
● Do not wear street shoes on the dance floor. Likewise, do not wear dance shoes
outdoors.
Tuition and Costumes
● Tuition payments are due at the first of each month. If payment is not received by 8 pm
on the 10th of the month, a $10 late fee will be applied to the dancer’s account. For
each month that tuition remains unpaid, another $10 late fee will be added.
● Online payments, autopay (the 10th of each month), and billing can be set up through
DanceStudio Pro. Once your dancer is registered, you will receive an email to sign up.
Please note there is a convenience fee for this service.
● Payments may be made by mail, at the studio (there are drop boxes located both in
and outside of the studio), or through DanceStudio Pro. Please note that cash payments
are not accepted. We accept payments by check and through Zellepay.com (no fees).
We also accept credit card payments (with additional fee).
● Accounts must remain up to date. Please note that if tuition is one month past due, your
dancer will be asked to refrain from participating and can watch class. If tuition is two
months past due, your dancer will not be allowed to attend class until the past-due
amount is paid and the account is made current. If you are having financial difficulties,
please email jen@dancerevolutions.net to ask about payment arrangements before this
becomes an issue.
● If your dancer decides to discontinue class, written notice by email
(jen@dancerevolutions.net) must be given before the first of the month. Tuition will
continue to accrue and late fees will be applied until written notice is given.
● Costume deposits ($50 per class) are due no later than Friday, December 20th, 2024.
Deposits must be made before a costume can be ordered. We place the order for
costumes in January, to ensure they arrive on time for the recital. Please plan ahead, our
20th annual recital will be Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Fruitport High School.
● Please note that we make every effort to choose costumes with reasonable costs,
however there may be an additional fee to the $50 deposit. If there is an additional fee,
a statement will be sent in April 2025. Balances must be paid before your dancer is able
to bring the costume home.
** Accounts paid in full by November 8, 2024 will receive one month free! **
