MISS MAC DANCE STUDIO

Competition Team & Crew Agreement

Thank you for accepting a place in one of Miss Mac Dance Studio’s Competition Teams or Crews. Being selected is a privilege and requires commitment, dedication and teamwork from both dancers and parents.

By accepting a place on a competition team or crew, you agree to the following:

Commitment

Competition teams and crews require regular attendance and commitment throughout the season.
Dancers are expected to attend all scheduled classes, rehearsals, workshops and additional training sessions unless exceptional circumstances arise.
Regular absences may affect a dancer’s place within the routine or team.
Attendance

Parents must notify the studio as soon as possible if a dancer cannot attend a rehearsal or class.
Repeated absences may impact choreography, formations and the team’s overall performance.
Withdrawal from a Team

A minimum of four weeks’ written notice is required if a dancer wishes to withdraw from a competition team or crew.
If competition entries, costumes, music licences, choreography, travel arrangements or any other expenses have already been paid or committed on behalf of a dancer, these costs remain the responsibility of the parent or guardian.
Miss Mac Dance Studio cannot absorb financial losses caused by a dancer withdrawing after costs have been incurred.
Competitions & Performances

Competition dates and performance opportunities will be communicated as early as possible.
Families are strongly encouraged not to book holidays during known competition periods.
Once a dancer has been entered into a competition, withdrawal may not be possible depending on organiser deadlines.
Teamwork

Every dancer plays an important role within the team.
Choreography, spacing and formations are created specifically for each dancer, so attendance and commitment are essential.
Parents and dancers agree to support the team positively and respectfully throughout the season.
Behaviour

Competition team members are ambassadors for Miss Mac Dance Studio and are expected to:

Treat teachers, adjudicators, volunteers and fellow competitors with respect.
Demonstrate good sportsmanship at all times.
Show kindness and encouragement towards teammates.
Represent the studio positively both in person and on social media.
Uniform & Costume Responsibility

Competition uniforms and costumes must be cared for and returned where applicable.
Parents are responsible for replacing any lost or damaged studio-owned costume items.
Photography & Media

By participating in competitions and performances, parents acknowledge that photographs and videos may be taken by the studio, event organisers or professional photographers and may be used for promotional purposes unless written notice has been provided to the studio.

Changes to Routines

Miss Mac Dance Studio reserves the right to make changes to choreography, formations, casting, costumes and team placements where necessary to achieve the best outcome for the team.

Agreement

By accepting a place on a Miss Mac Dance Studio Competition Team or Crew, both the dancer and parent/guardian acknowledge that they have read, understood and agree to abide by this Competition Team & Crew Agreement.

We look forward to working together and creating an exciting, positive and successful competition season for everyone involved.
