Dancer/Parent Contract
Oct 18, 2025 05:50 PM
A. Registration
A $75 non-refundable registration fee is due at the time of registration and paid annually at the start of a new 10-month season. This fee does NOT include tickets to shows, recitals, or award ceremonies. This fee is not credited toward competition expenses.
B. Contract
This contract spans from September 1st - June 20th of all seasons. If you withdraw from A Brush of Art, LLC before the contract end date, you are required to pay a $75 fee, settle all outstanding debts, including the current month’s tuition, to unenroll. The $75 fee is the buyout that allows us to adjust to the financial loss of you breaking your contract. Any unpaid debts will roll over to future seasons and must be settled before returning. The exceptions to this rule are proof of medical issues, relocation out of the Baltimore City or County, and or loss of a loved one in the immediate home.
C. Placement
Dance class placement at A Brush of Art, LLC is based on the following criteria: *Age *Technique *Behavior in class *Enthusiasm *Attitude *Commitment level *Attendance *Potential *Stage presence
Dancer(s) are placed in one of 8 levels based on ability and age. We do our best to determine proper placement during your dancer’s trial period and first month of enrollment. A Brush of Art, LLC. reserves the right to change a dancer’s level to support their technical needs and ability. If a parent refuses the adjustment for any reason, including scheduling conflict, they risk the progression and safety of their child. Regarding choreography for concerts and performances: Dancer(s) who display great collaboration during rehearsals and performances are typically grouped together. Final decision of dancer(s) placement is at the discretion of ABA instructor/director’s approval.
D. Attendance & Time Commitment
Attendance and commitment are powerful indicators of student outcomes. Absences not only hinder the growth of dancer(s) individually, but also the company as a whole. Dancer(s) who miss an excessive amount of rehearsals during preparation for a competition and or performance will be removed from portions of a dance if the dancer(s) is not performing at their best. Refunds will not be provided for parent dissatisfaction with the number of parts or the number of dances a dancer(s) is excluded from due to increased absences, nor extreme tardiness. If your dancer(s) are experiencing illness or other special circumstances, please inform ABA’s director at abrushofart@gmail.com.
E. Calendar and Closings
* ABA follows a portion of Baltimore County Public School’s calendar except Jewish holiday closings. (ABA is open during Jewish holidays)

In order to guarantee that all of our dancers are able to best pursue their passion, we implemented a comprehensive anti-bullying and harassment policy applicable to our dancers, dance families, staff, and employees. If you are unable to make a payment for a special class, event, program, or workshop and wish to discontinue or cannot attend, you do have the option of using this payment as studio credit. This option is not available to parents/dancers whose enrollment has been terminated due to breaking any of the aforementioned studio policies. Enrollment can be terminated without receiving a refund. If you participate in our fundraisers and decide to leave the studio and have a remaining credit, your fundraising funds will be forfeited to the studio.

Any unpaid balances remain due in full. Make-up classes, credits, or transfers will not be offered
