Production/Performance/Costume/Competition Agreement

Please read and initial EACH section and sign the bottom of this document to confirm you understand A Brush of Art, LLC performance and costume policies.
❖ ______ I agree to pay production fees including the Spring Recital Fee of $150 per household, by the deadline. I understand that non-payment excludes my child(ren) from productions. I understand this fee is NOT covered by competition-related expenses.
❖ ______ Dance rehearsals are imperative to your dancer and ABA’s success. It is at the discretion of the directors and teachers to remove your dancer from a performance and or competition due to habitual absences and inability to complete the routine according to performance standards. As stated in our studio policy, all payments are non-refundable in the event your dancer(s) is removed from a performance or section of choreography.
❖ ______ I understand that dancers are NOT allowed to miss rehearsal the day BEFORE a performance without advance notice to the studio’s director of an extreme conflict. Such actions can result in IMMEDIATE removal from a performance or dance selection, and refunds will not be provided.
❖ ______ I understand that there are NO REFUNDS on costume fees. I can keep all costumes purchased from the costume fee. You may donate your costume to our competitive dance team if you wish.
❖ ______ I understand that costumes are ONLY purchased through the following:
* A Brush of Art, LLC * ABA’s studio portal/online shop * Costume manufacturers outlined by ABA
❖ ______ I understand that it is my responsibility to make sure that my dancer has all necessary tights, shoes, accessories, class attire and costumes. Furthermore, the right to deny participation in class and performances due to my child’s incorrect or inappropriate attire lies with ABA’s leadership team. It is not the responsibility of ABA’s director, teachers, or parent leaders to follow up with me AFTER the appropriate information regarding costumes and performances has been disseminated.
❖ ______ I understand that I shall refrain from defamation of character in regards to A Brush of Art, LLC., and have the right to terminate my contract if dissatisfied and adhere to the buyout policy.
❖ ______ I understand that I am encouraged to ask as many questions as I may need to get clarification on any performances, rehearsals, classes, and general information.
❖ ______ I understand that I MAY NOT use the A Brush of Art, LLC logo to create ABA merchandise for personal use or resale.
❖ ______ I agree to check for and read monthly newsletters, studio emails, mobile app notifications, and all uploaded files within the dance portal. Furthermore, I agree to keep my personal records within the portal up to date, so that I can receive all communication that is sent via email or text. It is NOT the responsibility of ABA’s director, teachers, or parent leaders to call me individually.
❖ ______ I understand that ABA has a standard makeup application that all performers are to follow during performances and competitions. This is the ONLY makeup style that performers are allowed to wear during A Brush of Art, LLC performance. Our studio has a YouTube channel (A Brush of Art Visual Arts and Dance Center) with videos of requirements.
❖ ______ I understand that I MUST follow the hairstyle and alternatives guidelines given on my information sheet for my dancer(s) to perform. If I decide not to follow the hairstyle guidelines, I am willingly putting my dancer(s) at risk of not performing.
❖ ______ I understand that mothers of dancers are allowed volunteer as backstage parent leaders and that they are available to assist with makeup and hair application questions. I agree to have parent leaders assist my dancer(s) with makeup and hair application.
❖ ______ I understand that community performances are optional and that parents are responsible for meeting all transportation, rehearsal, and clothing needs for the performances.
❖ ______ I understand that once my child makes the Purple Reign Competitive dance team that is my responsibility to ensure a female adult is responsible to support my child in the dressing room at all teams. With duties that include makeup touches, costume changes, providing lunch and or snack, organizing costumes and maintaining a clean area.
