Dance Loud Academy
Parent Conduct, Social Media & Non-Disparagement
Agreement
2026-2027 Competition Season
1. Purpose and Team Standard
Dance Loud Academy Competition Team requires dancers and families to support a positive, respectful, drama-free,
team-focused environment. This Agreement applies to conduct at the studio, competitions, conventions, recitals,
community performances, hotels, travel events, online spaces, group chats, private messages, and all studio-related
activities.
Parent/Guardian and Dancer understand that behavior by either the dancer or parent/guardian can affect team
placement, participation, performance opportunities, and continued enrollment.
2. Respectful Conduct Requirement
Parents and dancers must treat all dancers, parents, teachers, staff, choreographers, volunteers, judges, competition
staff, venue workers, and other studios with respect. Disagreement with a decision does not excuse disrespectful
conduct.
• No yelling, belittling, intimidation, threats, retaliation, profanity directed at others, or aggressive confrontation.
• No conduct that embarrasses, isolates, targets, or harms another dancer or family.
• No interference with classes, rehearsals, warm-ups, backstage operations, awards, parent meetings, or studio
business.
3. Gossip, Rumors, and Team Division
Parents and dancers may not create, spread, encourage, or participate in gossip, rumors, speculation, or divisive
conversations regarding dancers, families, staff, placements, choreography, finances, scores, private matters, or studio
decisions.
• No parent cliques or coordinated negativity.
• No discussing another dancer's ability, behavior, placement, body, family, finances, private issues, or personal life in a
negative manner.
• No attempts to turn families against the studio, staff, Director, teachers, or other families.
• Concerns must be brought directly to studio leadership.
4. Group Chats, Text Threads, and Private Messages
Parents acknowledge that private communication can harm the team when used for gossip, screenshots, organized
complaints, or pressure campaigns. Parents may not use any text thread, group chat, private message, email chain, or
online group to damage Dance Loud Academy or disrupt the team.
• No organizing group complaints, coordinated opposition, or collective pressure campaigns.
• No encouraging families to withhold payment, miss events, quit, transfer, or challenge studio policies together.
• No sharing screenshots or private messages to embarrass, pressure, or harm others.
• No spreading partial information, rumors, accusations, or confidential matters.

5. Social Media and Online Conduct
This policy applies to Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X/Twitter, YouTube, blogs, review platforms, private
groups, group chats, messaging apps, and all other online or electronic platforms.
• No false, misleading, defamatory, damaging, bullying, harassing, threatening, or negative posts about Dance Loud
Academy, its owner, staff, teachers, dancers, parents, families, vendors, competitions, conventions, judges, recital
venues, or affiliates.
• No posting private studio information, financial matters, invoices, disciplinary issues, communications, screenshots, or
internal concerns.
• No posting content that humiliates, mocks, targets, or criticizes another dancer, family, teacher, staff member, or studio.
• No implying that Parent or Dancer speaks on behalf of Dance Loud Academy without written permission.
6. Non-Disparagement
Parent/Guardian and Dancer agree not to make or encourage false, misleading, defamatory, malicious, or damaging
statements about Dance Loud Academy, its owner, staff, teachers, choreographers, dancers, families, volunteers,
vendors, competitions, conventions, venues, or affiliates.
This applies to verbal statements, written statements, reviews, online posts, comments, messages, group chats,
screenshots, videos, recordings, and any other method of communication.
Nothing in this Agreement prevents a truthful report to law enforcement, a governmental agency, or other legally
protected reporting channel. This provision is intended to prevent harmful, false, misleading, defamatory, or disruptive
conduct and to require appropriate communication channels for concerns.
7. Reviews and Public Complaints
Parents agree to bring concerns directly to Dance Loud Academy leadership and allow a reasonable opportunity for
response before posting public complaints or reviews. Public reviews, social media posts, or comments may not be used
as retaliation, coercion, pressure, harassment, or punishment related to tuition, placements, discipline, scores,
withdrawal, dismissal, or conflict.
8. Screenshots, Recordings, and Confidentiality
Parents and dancers may not publish, post, forward, or distribute private communications, screenshots, recordings,
emails, text messages, parent portal messages, invoices, balances, disciplinary issues, attendance issues, medical
information, choreography videos, or internal studio matters without written permission.
• Private studio communications are intended only for the recipient.
• Screenshots may not be used to embarrass, attack, pressure, or publicly criticize the studio or another person.
• Class, rehearsal, private lesson, and choreography footage may not be posted in full or shared for non-practice
purposes without permission.
9. Choreography, Photos, Videos, and Intellectual Property
All choreography taught through Dance Loud Academy remains the property of Dance Loud Academy and/or the
assigned choreographer. Parents and dancers may not teach, sell, transfer, reuse, post in full, or perform choreography
outside approved Dance Loud Academy events without permission.
• No posting full routines unless approved.
• No using Dance Loud choreography at another studio, school, pageant, talent show, or social media account without
written permission.
• No recording or distributing rehearsals or private lessons without approval.
10. Competition and Convention Conduct
At competitions and conventions, parents and dancers represent Dance Loud Academy. Poor sportsmanship, public
complaints, judge criticism, and disrespect toward other studios or event staff are prohibited.
• Parents may not contact competition/convention staff about Dance Loud Academy entries, schedules, scores, refunds,
judges, placements, complaints, or event issues without Director approval.
• No confronting judges, tabulators, backstage staff, event staff, photographers, videographers, or venue workers.
• No negative public comments about scores, awards, judges, events, venues, or other studios.
11. Non-Solicitation and Recruiting
Parents and dancers may not actively recruit, solicit, encourage, persuade, or pressure Dance Loud Academy dancers or
families to leave the studio, transfer to another studio, withdraw from Competition Team, quit routines, or join another
program during the competition season.
• This applies to in-person conversations, private messages, group chats, social media, indirect comments, and
coordinated efforts.
• This policy protects team stability, choreography, finances, staffing, and the emotional environment of the dancers.
12. Communication Process
Concerns should be handled privately, calmly, and directly with studio leadership. Parents should not approach teachers
during class, rehearsal, warm-up, competition, awards, backstage, recital, or active teaching/performance moments
unless it is an emergency.
• Step 1: Wait until emotions are calm.
• Step 2: Contact Dance Loud Academy leadership directly.
• Step 3: Allow reasonable time for review and response.
• Step 4: Schedule a meeting if needed.
• Studio leadership may end any conversation that becomes hostile, disrespectful, threatening, repetitive, or
unproductive.
13. Enforcement and Consequences
Dance Loud Academy may determine consequences based on the nature, severity, frequency, and impact of the
conduct. Consequences may include:
• Verbal or written warning.
• Parent meeting.
• Restriction from observing classes or rehearsals.
• Restriction from backstage, dressing rooms, team areas, travel events, or studio property.
• Suspension from classes, rehearsals, competitions, conventions, recital, or team activities.
• Removal from routines or loss of future opportunities.
• Dismissal from Competition Team or Dance Loud Academy.
• Referral of unpaid balances to collections if applicable.
14. Dismissal Does Not Release Financial Responsibility
Parent/Guardian understands that dismissal due to parent misconduct, dancer misconduct, social media violations,
harassment, bullying, retaliation, recruiting, non-disparagement violations, non-payment, or conduct detrimental to the
studio does not release financial responsibility under any signed Dance Loud Academy agreement.
15. No Retaliation
Parents and dancers may not retaliate against any dancer, parent, teacher, staff member, or studio family for reporting
concerns, enforcing policies, supporting the studio, or choosing not to participate in gossip or group complaints.
16. No Oral Modification
No verbal statement, informal conversation, teacher comment, or text message modifies this Agreement. Any exception
must be approved in writing by the Director/Owner.
