Dress Code

Dancers should wear clothing that is form-fitting for instructors to see alignment and allows movement without restriction. Attire should provide proper coverage at all times, including through movement. All dancers are responsible for dressing according to the correct dress codes for their class level.
You can speak with your child's teacher for more info or suggestions they may have.

ALL proper shoes should be worn to each dance class style.
Shoes/tights can be purchased in the studio.

Tiny Toes 2 year old Creative Movement: Toddlers and parents wear comfortable clothing. Dancers can wear leotards, athletic tops/shorts/leggings. Hair pulled up and out of face.

BALLET- PRESCHOOL AND UP
All Ballet and Pointe classes are required to wear a leotard:
Ages 3-7 will be allowed to wear any color leotard or dance dress and tights. BALLET SHOES REQUIRED
Ages 8-10 will be allowed to wear any solid color leotard with tan, pink or black tights. BALLET SHOES REQUIRED
Ballet level 1 and Ballet level 2 will be required to wear a black leotard with tan or pink tights. BALLET SHOES REQUIRED
HAIR MUST BE PULLED UP INTO A BUN OR PONY NEATLY AND OUT OF FACE.

Jazz/Contemporary/Musical Theater: Any style leotard or fitted dance attire. No clothing may be worn to obstruct the view of the body (i.e., baggy shirts/pants). Jazz shoes are required for Jazz and Musical Theater classes.

Tap: Comfortable dance attire. No pants that drag on the floor and no jeans. Feet must be visible. Tap shoes required

Boys may wear any comfortable dance attire they can easily move in. NO pants that drag on the floor and no jeans please.

Hip Hop: Comfortable clothing. No jeans, tight pants, or skirts. No boots, flip flops, or elevated shoes of any sort. Sneakers are preferred. Baggy clothing acceptable.

For ALL dancers, hair should be pulled away from face and off the neck for ALL dance classes.

Shoes: Dancers will be required to have our studio brand and color shoes for classes except hip hop classes. We will fit your dancer and order them for you if we do not have his/her size in stock. This will be for ALL dance shoes worn within our studio. Also, all dance shoes should not be worn outside of our studio. They are not made for the outside elements and can be easily ruined.
