STUDIO POLICIES

IMPORTANT: Registration is for the FULL YEAR PROGRAM. Those who register are expected to attend both the Fall & Winter/Spring Semesters. This includes performing in both the Winter & Spring Recitals. If a dancer wishes to drop out for the Spring Semester, a $200 drop-out fee will be charged.
Refunds, Credits & Class Changes
• Tuition refunds are available only within the first week of classes and do not include fees or the cost of
classes already attended.
• No tuition refunds are issued after the first week of classes.
• Non-medical class drops after the first month are charged for the remaining balance of the semester.
• If Bridge For Dance cancels a class, the class will be rescheduled and payments will be transferred to
the rescheduled class.
• Credits, rather than refunds, may be issued for medical reasons only. A doctor's documentation is
required, and approved credits are valid for one year.
• Bridge For Dance reserves the right to cancel classes with insufficient enrollment and to modify faculty
assignments.
• Additional activities, including intensives and camps, may have an additional charge.
• A 10% sibling discount is available on the lesser-paying child's tuition.
Code of Conduct & Studio Safety
• Students must arrive on time and in the required dress code.
• Dancers are expected to treat one another with respect and sensitivity. Harassment and bullying will
not be tolerated.
• Students must take all belongings and trash with them when leaving the studio.
• Students may not enter or remain in studios without a faculty or staff member present.
• No guests are permitted inside the studio during regular classes.
• Parents and visitors may observe classes only during designated observation weeks.
• Please keep noise to a minimum in the reception area while classes are in progress.
• Please pick up your child promptly after class. Notify front desk staff if someone other than the parent/
guardian will be picking up your child.
• Photography and recording of regular classes are not permitted. Parents may take photos and videos
during designated Parent Observation Week.
Attendance & Make-Up Classes
Consistent attendance, commitment, and punctuality are important to a dancer's progress. We
understand that illness and other unavoidable circumstances may occasionally require a student to miss
class.
Absences & Sick Days
• A maximum of two sick-day/absence make-up classes is available per semester, in addition to
holiday make-ups.
• Please call ahead and let the studio know if your child will be absent.
• If a child is absent for more than two consecutive weeks, the studio may contact the family to follow up.
• If a student is injured, they are welcome to attend class as an observer.
Late Arrivals
If a student arrives late, they should warm up quietly at the back of the studio before joining class. Families
may communicate lateness or absences by email or phone.
Holiday Make-Ups
• Students may take up to two holiday make-up classes per semester, in addition to eligible sick-day/
absence make-ups.
• Holiday make-ups may be taken in any appropriate class offered during the student's current
semester.
• Make-up classes do not roll over into the following semester. Please schedule make-ups as early as possible.
Dress Code & Class Attire
A consistent dress code helps create a professional, focused environment and allows teachers to clearly
see a dancer's alignment and technique. — it's one of the simplest ways we help your dancer grow. It also builds a sense of consistency and belonging in the room, one less thing to think about before class starts. Dress code matters for a few reasons — safety first (no loose clothing or jewelry that can catch or cause a slip). Students must arrive prepared and dressed appropriately for class.
PLEASE NOTE
The weekly class schedule is subject to change based on dancer registration. Please refer to the current
Young Dancers Program schedule online for the latest class information.
SAFETY
If a student is dressed incorrectly, they may not be allowed into class. Jewelry is not permitted except for
small stud earrings. Watches, necklaces, and bracelets must be removed for safety.

• Keep your email and phone number current in DanceStudioPro.
• Check the current online schedule before making schedule-related plans.
• Notify the studio as soon as possible about absences or late arrivals.
• Schedule make-up classes early; make-ups do not roll into the next semester.
• Label personal belongings and take everything with you when leaving the studio.
• Plan recital participation as part of the full-year YDP commitment.
AGREEMENT
By signing below, I confirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the above-named participant, that I have read and understood all sections of this agreement, and that I agree to all terms set forth herein. I understand this is a legally binding document.
