Terms & Conditions at MDS 2026
*I ask for payments to be made in full by cash, cheque, or bank transfer, before term classes begin.
If this is not possible please speak with me to make alternate arrangements. If you wish to split the payment or bring payment to class please advise me.
*You are committed to a full term and unfortunately NO refunds are given, on missed classes however you may attend another class to do a make-up session.
*Families receive a 10% discount for the second child.
Multi Class discounts available for students attending more than 1 class per week.
*Classes require a minimum of 3 students to operate. If class numbers are not met for Term enrolment, it will be cancelled for the time being/until numbers pick up
*Megans Dance Studio follows Victorian School Term dates
We operate on a 10 week term basis.
No classes are held on public holidays.
*CORRECT SHOES ARE COMPULSORY .
Here is a list of which shoes each age group requires!
KINDER BALLET/JAZZ
3-4yrs- PINK BALLET SHOE
JAZZ CLASSES
5-6yrs-PINK BALLET SHOE
7-9 yrs- TAN JAZZ SHOE (no laces)
10+yrs- TAN JAZZ SHOE (no laces)
13+- TAN JAZZ SHOE (no laces)
*Boys are to wear a black ballet shoe OR black jazz shoe.
TAP-
All age groups will require TAN tap shoes.
BALLET/LYRICAL/TECHNIQUE
All age groups will require pink ballet shoes.
HIP HOP- sneakers
ACRO- bare feet
MUSICAL THEATRE- Tan Jazz shoes (teens may require black chorus heels)
*Although we do not have a set uniform children SHOULD be wearing appropriate DANCE CLOTHING
as this does not restrict their movement, and allows for technique corrections.
Black, White and Orange are the accepted colours.
Ballet classes can wear any colour leotard, as can tots and kinder classes.
Leotards, bike pants, dance dress, activewear, leggings, crop tops and singlets are acceptable
NO BAGGY CLOTHES TO BE WORN
*Hair MUST be tied back neatly.
NO HAIR DOWN at dancing!
SCHOOL UNIFORMS, AND CASUAL STREET WEAR is NOT appropriate dance wear
*NO BULLYING and or Harassment will be tolerated at MDS
*Parent Expectations:
-Your student is to be on time to class
-Your student is to wear the required dance shoes for their age
-Your students hair to be neatly tied back/off their face
-Park only in MDS signed parking or on street parking
-Any fines for using unallocated parking spots will be passed on to the parent
-Respect our Venue. Make a mess, please clean it up.
-Please do not let children jump on furniture, or use studio spaces and equipment for entertainment purposes
-Any damage occurred to the venue, accidental or otherwise. Will have associated costs passed to parent
-Respect all staff, student teachers and volunteers of MDS
