Performance Team 2026 Etiquette and Expectations

Members enrolled and accepted into the Performance Team are to comply with the below listed Etiquette and Expectations.


- Performance team members may not take class or study with any other dance teachers or at any other studio without the express written permission of the principal PPDC.
- Performance team members are to be committed to the PPDC Performance Team and PPDC until December 2026 and will always put forth their best effort to meet the requirements and goals of PPDC and the Performance Team unless dismissed by the principal.
- Performance team members are expected to attend all performances and rehearsals. Approximate dates for scheduled performances and major rehearsal dates are provided in writing at the commencement of the year. Please note there may be other rehearsals outside of normal class times that will be scheduled on a need to basis and these will be notified of either verbally and / or in writing. Excused absences are only acceptable in cases of illness, family emergency and school camps of which the principal is to be notified prior to scheduled class/rehearsal/performance. If a rehearsal class is not attended it is expected that the absent member arranges a suitable time with another team member to learn any missed parts of the routine.
- All eisteddfod performances are mandatory, failure to commit to this will result in the dismissal of the member from the performance team and they will be ineligible to participate in the performance team in the following year, this is at the discretion of the principal.


- To be a member of the performance team all financial commitments with PPDC must be up to date.
- To participate in the performance team a Performance Fee Package is to be chosen. The Performance Package Fee is inclusive of small incidental eisteddfod costs throughout the year i.e. Rehearsal venue hire, competitors passes, rehearsal DVDs etc.
- The Performance Package Fee is exclusive of compulsory attire, costumes, earrings, wigs, transport etc.


- All Performance Team Members must purchase a compulsory PPDC Performance Team Jacket and shirt. These must be worn to and from each Performance.
- Costume expenses are to be paid up front.
* There will be up to 3 costume payment instalments depending on how many routines your child is in
* Invoice 1 New Costumes - Deposit by all members per age new routine they perform
* Invoice 2 Second Hand Costumes - Sold costumes credits allocated, full payment of balance required (CASH ONLY)
* Invoice 3 New Costumes – full payment of balance required
* Costumes will only be handed out when payments for all invoices have been finalised.
- Ongoing Costumes (all pieces) are to be returned at the end of the eisteddfod season for reuse. A credit will be allocated to the members costume account as part of Invoice 2 in the year that the costumes are sold to another member. This process occurs until the costume is no longer required by the PPDC performance team. All costumers remain the copyright property of PPDC regardless of if it is no longer in use and must not be sold for personal profit unless permission is given by the principal.
- Any damage/soil to a costume must be repaired at the expense of the member prior to being returned


- Performance Team Members wearing any PPDC studio apparel in public are to act with respect and dignity so as not to discredit themselves, the Performance Team or PPDC.
- Performance Team Members must behave appropriately and conduct themselves in a courteous and proper manner at all times.
- Inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the Performance Team/PPDC class and a telephone call will be made to the parents/guardians. Continued inappropriate behavior may result in removal of the member from PPDC.
- Performance Team members, their friends and relatives are never to degrade or put down any other dancer's ability, performance, appearance or personality either at PPDC, in public or at any performance event. Accomplishment and achievement can never come at another's expense.


- All choreography is the sole property of PPDC. Performance Team members, PPDC Students or former members/students may not perform routines outside of PPDC without express written permission of the principal.
- "PPDC" referred to throughout is one and the same as Performance Plus Dance Centre.
- The information contained in this document is not all inclusive of the expectations of members of the PPDC Performance Team but aims to be the majority.
- The PPDC principal reserves the right, without prior notice, to change, delete, supplement or otherwise amend at any time the information, requirements, and policies contained in this document or other documents related to team membership.

Membership in the PPDC Performance Team is a privilege, not a right. The Principal and staff of PPDC have the ultimate discretion in any and all matters regarding the Performance Teams.
