Destined to Dance Studio enforces a dress code in order to make sure our instructors are able to determine correct form & alignment without interference from attire & to inspire the right attitude in our dancers.
Hair should be pulled back into a bun for all ballet classes. In all other classes, hair should be secured out of the face and off the neck into a ponytail, buns or braids.
Ballet:
Girls: Any colored leotard (only black in Level 3 & 4) & pink, black, or flesh tone tights. Leather or canvas ballet slippers in pink only. Ballet skirts are accepted with instructor's permission.
Boys: Black t-shirt and black leggings. Black ballet slippers only.
Jazz / Lyrical / Modern / Contemporary:
Form-fitting black clothes such as leotards, crop tops, tank tops, biker/booty shorts, leggings, etc. Jazz shoes in either black or tan, dance paws, half soles, etc.
Modern and Contemporary classes may ask the students to go barefoot depending on instructor preference.
Tap:
Dance Attire, NO JEANS. Black or tan tap shoes.
Hip Hop:
Loose, comfortable clothing & sneakers. No jeans of any kind are allowed.
