By enrolling the Student with The League Studios, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

1. Participation and Assumption of Risk

The League Studios provides recreational services including, but not limited to, dance, acrobatics, aerial arts, tumbling, trampoline use, rehearsals, performances, competitions, workshops and offsite events (“Activities”).

I understand that participation in these Activities involves inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to:

Falls, trips and collisions

Physical contact with other participants

Equipment failure or misuse

Overexertion, fatigue or improper technique

Travel to and from events

Exposure to communicable illness

These risks may result in injury, illness, permanent disability or death.

Participation is voluntary. I acknowledge and accept these risks on behalf of the Student.

2. Australian Consumer Law Notice

The Activities provided by The League Studios are “recreational services” as defined under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth).

To the extent permitted by law, The League Studios excludes liability for death or personal injury arising from the supply of recreational services.

Nothing in this agreement excludes, restricts or modifies rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

3. Release and Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, I release The League Studios, its directors, employees, contractors and agents from liability for injury, loss or damage arising from participation in the Activities.

I agree to indemnify The League Studios against claims brought by or on behalf of the Student, except where liability cannot be excluded by law.

4. Medical and Health Declaration

I confirm that the Student is medically fit to participate in the Activities and that I will disclose any relevant medical conditions, injuries, or limitations.

I authorise The League Studios to seek emergency medical treatment for the Student if required.

I accept responsibility for any medical costs incurred as a result of participation.

5. Personal Property

All personal belongings are brought to the studio at the owner’s risk. The League Studios is not responsible for loss, theft or damage to personal property.

6. Behaviour and Safety

The League Studios reserves the right to suspend or remove a participant where behaviour is unsafe or inconsistent with studio policies.

7. Jurisdiction

This agreement is governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia.

Enrolment at The League Studios is for the full calendar year (Janurary–December).

If you wish to withdraw from any class or from the studio, two weeks’ written notice is required via email to admin@theleaguestudios.com.au. Notice is effective from the date the email is received.

Fees remain payable during the two-week notice period. This applies to all payment methods, including weekly direct debit arrangements. Direct debits will continue during the notice period and will be stopped after the notice period has been completed.

No refunds or credits are provided for:
• Fees already paid
• Missed classes
• Change of mind
• Partial term attendance

If notice is not provided, fees will continue to be charged until written notice is received and the two-week notice period has been completed.

Students who stop attending classes without providing written notice remain financially responsible for fees during this period.

Registration

A non-refundable annual registration fee is required to secure enrolment. A student’s place in class is not confirmed until the registration fee has been received.

Tuition Structure

Tuition fees are calculated as an annual fee and divided into four equal term payments for convenience.

Terms 1–3 generally run for approximately 10 teaching weeks. Term 4 may conclude earlier due to school calendars and end-of-year scheduling. Tuition reflects a full year of training, rehearsals, studio operations, and performance preparation — rather than a strict per-week calculation.

Instalments remain consistent regardless of minor variations in term length.

Payment Terms

Term fees are due on or before the first class of each term unless enrolled in an approved Auto Pay plan.

Students with outstanding balances may be unable to participate in classes until accounts are brought up to date.

Payments may be made via:

Auto Pay (Direct Debit)

Visa or Mastercard via the Parent Portal (3% processing fee applies)

Cash at reception in a clearly labelled and sealed envelope

Auto Pay & Failed Payments

Auto Pay allows annual tuition and applicable levies to be divided into scheduled instalments.

Account Holders are responsible for ensuring sufficient funds and maintaining current payment details at all times.

If a scheduled payment fails, a $14.95 failed payment fee will be applied. This fee reflects processing costs incurred by the studio and applies regardless of the reason for the failed transaction.

Instalments may extend slightly beyond the final class date of a term, as payments reflect annualised tuition rather than per-class billing.

Failure to rectify missed payments promptly may result in suspension of enrolment.

Overdue Accounts

Accounts not paid within two weeks of the due date may incur a $14.95 late fee.

Repeated missed or overdue payments may result in suspension or removal from class and/or performance eligibility.

Additional Performance Costs

In addition to tuition, participation in studio performances, competitions, and special events involves additional costs.

Annual Concert

Students participating in the annual concert will be charged a Concert Performer Fee.

This fee contributes to:

Theatre venue hire

Production and staging

Staffing and supervision

Dress rehearsal expenses

Administration and coordination

Concert media and commemorative items (where applicable)

Costumes are charged separately and are non-refundable once ordered.

Performance tickets are sold separately and are the responsibility of families.

Concert-related fees are typically invoiced during Terms 2–3.

Performance Team / Competition Program

Students selected for Performance Team participate in an extended competition program.

An annual Performance Team Levy applies and contributes to:

Competition entry fees (local competitions)

Performer registration fees

Staff supervision at competitions

Music editing, licensing, and administration

Team choreography and preparation

Team uniform items (where applicable)

The Performance Team Levy does not include:

Costumes

Private lessons

Travel or accommodation (if applicable)

Optional workshops or external events

Competition pricing is based on current organiser rates and may be subject to change.

Payment schedules for Performance Team costs are provided upon acceptance into the program.

Refunds & Credits

No refunds or credits are provided for:

Missed classes

Change of mind

Withdrawal without notice

Partial term attendance

In cases of significant medical circumstances, written documentation may be provided and credits considered at the Director’s discretion.

No refunds are provided for costume, performance, or competition fees once committed.

Families experiencing financial difficulty are encouraged to contact admin@theleaguestudios.com.au
prior to the due date to discuss possible arrangements.
