Turning Point Dance Terms and Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. By enrolling in the classes and programs offered by Turning Point Dance, you (the "Student" and/or the parent/legal guardian of the Student) agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions:
Enrolment Duration
Enrolment is for a full school year, typically consisting of four terms. The specific start and end dates for each term are available in the information book and on the parent portal. Parents are responsible for checking these resources, as notifications may not be sent by email.
Administration/Enrolment Fee
An administration/enrolment fee of $65.00 per year applies to each student at the time of enrolment.
For families with multiple students enrolling, a discounted fee structure applies:
$33.00 per year for the second student.
$22.00 per year for the third student.
This fee is non-refundable.
Amenities Levy
An Amenities Levy is applied per term as a substitute for fundraising efforts.
The amount is based on the number of classes the student is enrolled in:
$25.00 per term for 1–2 classes.
$30.00 per term for 3 classes.
$40.00 per term for 4 classes.
$50.00 per term for unlimited (5 or more) classes.
The levy is per student and non-refundable.
Costume Club Fee
A Costume Club Fee of $30.00 per genre of dance (ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary) applies per term. Students participating in all genres, including senior ballet, may require up to 8 costumes, totalling $240.00 per term.
Students enrolled in unlimited classes will require two costumes for ballet.
Funds cover the creation, alteration, cleaning, storing, and maintenance of costumes for the end-of-year performance.
Expensive costumes may be rented to reduce costs; this is at the discretion of Turning Point Dance and may not always apply. Hiring fees cover associated maintenance and alterations. These costumes remain the property of Turning Point Dance.
Invoices will be issued if costume expenses exceed the amount paid in Costume Club fees.
Refunds will be provided if costs are less than fees paid, or the balance can be credited towards other fees.
Unused funds will be refunded upon a student’s unenrolment; however, parents or guardians must request this refund in writing.
Families anticipating non-participation in the end-of-year performance can opt out of this fee by notifying the office in writing before the start of Term 2. If they later decide to participate, they will bear the full costume costs.
Fee Payment
All fees are due by the first Saturday of each term. Payment dates will be communicated in advance.
Late payments will incur a $50.00 fee.
Turning Point Dance reserves the right to recover any costs associated with collecting overdue fees.
Payment plans may be arranged upon request; please contact the office to discuss options.
Payment plans have an establishment fee of $55.00. Any changes to the plan may incur a $33.00 fee.
Payment plans are only valid once signed and returned to the administration. Delays in returning the signed agreement may result in late payment fees being applied. Unsigned plans will not be accepted.
Non-Payment of Fees and Collection
Fees must be paid in full by the specified due dates as outlined in the Fee Payment section.
In cases where fees remain unpaid after the due date, Turning Point Dance reserves the right to take the following actions:
Suspension of the student’s participation in classes and activities until outstanding fees are paid.
Withholding of performance opportunities, exam entries, and reports.
A late fee of $50.00 will be applied to any overdue accounts.
Payment reminders may be issued, but it is the family’s responsibility to ensure timely payments.
If fees remain unpaid despite reminders, Turning Point Dance reserves the right to engage a debt collection agency. Any costs associated with debt recovery, including collection agency fees and legal costs, will be added to the outstanding amount and become the responsibility of the family.
Families experiencing financial hardship are encouraged to contact the office to discuss alternative payment arrangements prior to the due date.
Early Bird Discount
An Early Bird Discount of $22.00 applies to tuition fees if full payment is received by the specified early bird deadline.
The discount applies only to tuition fees and excludes other charges, such as the Costume Club Fee and Amenities Levy.
All families are eligible for the Early Bird Discount and will be notified of the deadline.
Partial Term Enrolment
If a student enrols partway through a term, tuition fees will be pro-rated based on the number of weeks remaining.
For subsequent terms, full-term tuition fees will apply.
Fee Adjustments
No fee adjustments will be made after the term has commenced if a student drops classes.
Missed classes due to illness, holidays, or other commitments are non-refundable. Students may request make-up classes, subject to availability.
Withdrawal Notification
To withdraw or make changes to lessons, written notice must be sent to office@tpdance.com.au by Week 8 of the current term.
Failure to provide timely notice without reasonable cause will result in the following term’s tuition fees and Amenities Levy becoming payable.
In cases of serious medical conditions or unforeseen circumstances, alternative arrangements may be discussed.
Class Schedule
Turning Point Dance reserves the right to modify the class schedule, including dates, times, and locations, with prior notice.
Classes may be cancelled or rescheduled due to unforeseen circumstances, such as inclement weather or instructor unavailability. Make-up classes or alternative arrangements will be offered where possible.
Students will progress to the next grade/level after RAD exams held in mid-Term 3. Schedule adjustments may occur to accommodate these transitions, and families will be notified in advance.
Permission for Media Use
By enrolling, families grant consent for Turning Point Dance to use photos and videos of students for promotional purposes unless an opt-out request is sent to office@tpdance.com.au.
Media may be used on the Turning Point Dance website, social media, or other marketing platforms. Opt-out requests must be confirmed by the school.
By enrolling at Turning Point Dance, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these terms and conditions. Thank you for your cooperation and support.
