Santa Fe Springs Dance Center Policies & Agreement:
Santa Fe Springs Dance Center maintains the following standards to ensure a positive, supportive experience for every dancer and their family. By registering or enrolling at Santa Fe Springs Dance Center (SFSDC), you agree to the policies outlined below.
Tuition:
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month and is considered late after the 10th of the month. A $28 late fee will be automatically applied to accounts with unpaid tuition after the 10th.
Tuition is based on four lessons/hours per month during our regular season. Full tuition is charged for all studio calendar months, including scheduled breaks. Tuition does not change for months with five weeks or months shortened by holidays.
SFSDC does not offer cash refunds. For your convenience, payments may be made online or placed in the drop box at the front desk. In the event of a mandatory closure, no refunds or credits are issued for missed classes.
Registration Fee:
The annual registration fee is $33 per student or $48 per family. Re-registration fees apply if a student has been inactive for two or more months and returns before the next annual registration period. Registration fees are non-refundable and non-creditable.
Class Drop / Account Withdrawal:
If you need to withdraw from a class, please call us at 562-948-5090 or email us at sfsdancecenter@hotmail.com. Verbal or written notice is required to drop a class. All withdrawals must be submitted verbally or in writing before the 15th of the month prior to the month you wish to drop. This allows us to offer the spot to dancers on the waiting list.
Credits are not issued for classes dropped after the 10th of the drop month.
Missed Classes:
Makeup classes are offered only for illness-related absences when the studio is notified before the scheduled class time. Makeup classes must be completed within one week, are subject to availability, and cannot be transferred or credited.
No refunds or credits are given for missed private, semi-private, or trio lessons.In the event of a mandatory closure, no refunds or credits are provided.
Returned & Redeposit Check Fees:
Redeposit Fee: $20 per check, per occurrence
Returned Check Fee: $30 per check, per occurrence
These fees will be automatically added to your account. Accounts with two or more returned checks will be placed on autopay only.
Overdue Accounts:
Accounts with balances more than 20 days overdue will be placed on hold, and students may not participate in classes until the account has been brought current.
Accounts that remain unpaid and do not respond to studio communication will be closed, and the student will be dropped from all classes. Payments are always applied to the oldest outstanding balance.
Recitals:
SFSDC holds two performances each year (December and June). All active students are charged a performance fee for each show unless a non-participation form is submitted electronically before the stated deadline.
Studio Rules:
Food and drinks are not permitted in dance rooms. Only bottled water is allowed.
SFSDC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or left-behind items.
All classrooms are “No Cell Phone” zones for students and observers unless approved by the teacher.
Parents and visitors are expected to treat all staff, students, and other families with courtesy and respect at all times. Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in dismissal from the premises.
Dress Code:
Students must arrive dressed appropriately for class. Teachers may ask dancers who are not in proper attire to sit and observe.
Dancers must arrive ready to dance:
Ballet: Hair in a neat, secure ballet bun
All other classes: Hair in a neat ponytail
Students arriving more than 15 minutes late may be asked to observe for safety reasons.

Health & Safety:
For the well-being of all dancers and staff, please do not bring your child to class if they are showing any signs of illness—such as fever, cough, sore throat, stomach issues, or any symptoms that may be contagious. We ask all families to be mindful and considerate of others by keeping dancers home until they are fully well.

Media Release:
SFSDC reserves the right to photograph or record dancers for studio use, including but not limited to:
Social media posts
Student of the Month
Class videos or group photos
Recital photos and videos
Holiday photos and videos
Showgroup or competition media
Promotional or educational content
Family Accounts:
These policies apply to all family members enrolled at SFSDC and remain in effect until all students in the family have officially withdrawn from the studio.
Studio Liability Waiver:
I declare under penalty of perjury under the laws of the State of California that I am the parent or legal guardian of said minor. I further declare that I shall indemnify and hold harmless Santa Fe Springs Dance Center/Showcase Studio, Inc. from and against all claims resulting from, incident to, or arising out of minors participation in the event/class and all risks assumed by the minor and me and/or the breach of any promises, covenants, and/or representations made by me herein and/or in the above release. I fully understand that participation in Santa Fe Springs Dance Center/Showcase Studio, Inc. (hereinafter "event/class") exposes the possible risk of personal injury, illness, and/or any viruses. I hereby acknowledge that I am voluntarily enrolling/participating in this event/class and agree to assume any-and-all such risks.
Tumbling Class and Tumble Trak: Parent/Legal Guardians/Participants recognize, understand, and acknowledge: (i) the risks and dangers of injury that may occur while engaging in Tumbling and participating on the Tumble Track at Santa Fe Springs Dance Center. The participant understands that they voluntarily engage in activities with adequate prior knowledge of such risks and dangers which can occur during tumbling class/Tumbl Trak and hereby agrees to accept all inherent risks of all personal injury (whether temporary, permanent, total, or partial) or other harm during all tumbling class/Tumbl Trak activities. Participants assume all legal and financial responsibilities for any and all injuries that may occur.
I hereby release, discharge, and agree not to charge Santa Fe Springs Dance Center/Showcase Studio, Inc. for any injury, damage, illness, disease, demise, harm, or loss of personal property arising out of, or in connection with, my/minor child's participation in the event/class/tumbling/Tumbl Trak from whatever cause, including any negligence of any person or any other participants in event/class/tumbling/Tumbl Trak. In consideration for being permitted to participate in any event/class/tumbling/Tumbl Trak, I hereby agree, for myself, my children, my heirs, administrators, executors, and assigns, that I shall indemnify and hold harmless Santa Fe Springs Dance Center/Showcase Studio, Inc. from any-and-all claims, demands actions or suits arising out of or in connection with my/minor child's participation in the event/class/tumbling/Tumbl Trak and will not at any time hold SFSDC, its employees, independent contractors, volunteers, directors, owners, officials, suppliers, and agents, as well as owners and lessors of premises, responsible for any or all injuries that may occur on these premises or while in event/class/tumbling/Tumbl Trak.
I HAVE CAREFULLY READ THIS RELEASE, HOLD HARMLESS, AND FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS CONTENTS. I AM AWARE THAT IT IS A FULL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY AND SIGN /AGREE/AND CHECKED ON MY OWN FREE WILL.
