Registration: A non-refundable registration fee of $30 for the first student, $25 for the second sibling, and $20 for each additional sibling, along with the first month’s tuition, will be collected automatically at the time of registration. The final month’s tuition (June 2027) is also required & will be manually charged to the account after registration is completed. Payment of the final month’s tuition is required to complete enrollment.
Payments of Fees:
1. Monthly Cash- Due by the first class of each month.
2. Monthly Check- Due by the first class of each month. All returned/NSF checks will be subject to a $35 NSF fee and/or a $10 re-deposit fee.
3. Automatic Bank Account Debit or Credit/Debit Card- Families may enroll in Auto-Pay through the Studio Pro parent portal.
By enrolling in Auto-Pay, you authorize MAD DANCE LLC to automatically process your monthly tuition using the payment method on file. Monthly tuition will be processed within the first five (5) days of each month.
Auto-Pay applies to monthly tuition only and does not automatically process costume fees, merchandise, registration fees, or other additional charges unless specifically authorized. Families are responsible for ensuring that their payment information is current and that sufficient funds are available when payments are processed. Any declined or returned payment will incur a $20 declined payment fee.
4. Credit/Debit Card- Tuition may also be paid by credit/debit card at the studio front desk or through the Studio Pro online portal.
- All tuition is NON-refundable!
- Tuition paid after the 15th of each month will be assessed a $20.00 late fee.
- If you pay the year in full (tuition only) by September 1st you will receive a 10% discount. (CASH/CHECK ONLY)
- Tuition remains the same whether it is a long (5wk) or a short (3wk) month and regardless of absences.
- If at any time MAD Dance LLC. incurs any expenses in the collection of any monies due under this contract, the parent agrees to pay all costs incurred with respect to that collection, including attorney fees. Repeated failure to pay tuition will result in termination of lessons.
Withdrawal and Refunds:
- There is a two-month minimum tuition commitment (first and final month) for all lessons.
- Tuition is non-refundable, and final-month tuition remains due regardless of attendance.
- A one-month written notice is required to discontinue classes. Withdrawal must be completed in person at the school office by a parent/guardian or adult student and will not be accepted by phone, email, text, or through a teacher. Withdrawal must occur within the first seven (7) days of the month. Requests received after the seventh day will be processed for the following month.
- Withdrawals will not be accepted after April 1, 2027. Students enrolled after this date remain responsible for tuition through the end of the season.
- To withdraw, the parent/guardian/adult student must: 1. Notify school administration in person at the school office. 2. Complete/sign the official Withdrawal Form. Recurring tuition charges will stop after the required notice period.
- MAD DANCE LLC reserves the right to terminate enrollment for policy violations, non-payment, inappropriate behavior, or other circumstances deemed necessary by the studio. Any refund of prepaid tuition due to studio-initiated termination will be determined by the studio on a case-by-case basis.
Age Requirements: Our classes are broken down into age divisions: ages 2, ages 3-4, ages 5-9 , and ages 10 and up. Age placement is based on the dancer’s age as of September 1st, unless otherwise determined by the Director. The Director reserves the right to place or move a student into the class level best suited to their age, ability, experience, and developmental readiness.
Dress Code:
Attire:
- Girls – leotard, tights (footless/convertible: skin tone, pink, or black), and proper dance shoes.
- Boys – Dance-appropriate activewear, such as a T-shirt and gym shorts, with appropriate dance shoes.
- Hip Hop students may wear any style dancewear.
- Hair must be worn up or pulled back out of face.
- Jeans and outdoor/street shoes are not permitted in dance class.
- For safety, jewelry is not permitted.
- Students who do not wear required dancewear may be asked to sit out of class. Repeated failure to follow dress requirements may result in termination of lessons.
Shoes:
Ballet- Ages 2-4 & 5-9 Pink Full Sole Ballet Shoes, (Ballet Slippers are not permitted).
Tap – Ages 2-4 black tap shoes, ages 5-9, 10 and up tan stretch tap shoes*
Jazz - All ages tan slip on jazz shoes*
Lyrical – Pirouettes*
Tumble/Gymnastics – No shoes! (shoes may be required after costumes are selected)
Hip Hop/Hip-ity Hop- Any high or low top sneaker that are not worn outside. Dancers will be required to purchase specific style shoes for recital chosen after costume arrives!

Student Conduct & Property: Students are expected to treat instructors, staff, classmates, and families with respect. Bullying, harassment, disruptive, disrespectful, aggressive, or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated and may result in suspension or termination of enrollment. Students and families are responsible for respecting studio property and facilities and may be responsible for damage caused by intentional or negligent actions. MAD Dance LLC is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal belongings.
Injuries & Emergency Medical Authorization: Michelle’s Academy of Dance (MAD Dance LLC) does not provide medical insurance for students. Students are responsible for maintaining their own health insurance coverage. Dance and related activities involve inherent risks, including the risk of injury. By enrolling, the parent/legal guardian or adult student acknowledges these risks and agrees to release and hold harmless MAD Dance LLC, its owners, instructors, employees, and agents from claims arising from injuries sustained during or related to classes, rehearsals, performances, or studio events, whether at MAD Dance LLC or another venue used by the studio, to the extent permitted by law. In the event of an injury or medical emergency, MAD Dance LLC will make reasonable efforts to contact the parent/guardian or emergency contact. If a parent/guardian cannot be reached, the parent/guardian authorizes MAD Dance LLC to seek appropriate emergency medical care for the student, including contacting 911 and/or emergency medical services when deemed necessary. The parent/guardian is responsible for all medical expenses incurred. By enrolling, the parent/legal guardian or adult student acknowledges and agrees to the terms of this section.
Extreme Weather and Unexpected Interruption of Classes: MAD Dance LLC may cancel or modify classes due to extreme weather, unsafe travel conditions, power outages, facility issues, government requirements, or other circumstances beyond our control. Make-up classes may or may not be offered depending on scheduling and availability. Tuition will not be refunded for classes missed due to circumstances beyond the studio's control.
The studio will make reasonable efforts to notify families of cancellations or changes through BAND, text, email, and/or social media. Studio closures will be determined by MAD Dance LLC and may not coincide with local school or business closures. If in-person classes become unavailable for an extended period, MAD Dance LLC may provide classes through an alternative format, including virtual instruction, when feasible. Tuition will remain due during temporary closures or alternative instruction periods.
Substitutions & Schedule Changes: MAD Dance LLC reserves the right to provide substitute teachers and modify class times, teachers, levels, or offerings when necessary. Families will be notified of significant changes. If a substitute cannot be provided, a make-up class or other reasonable arrangement may be offered when possible.
Holidays: The studio generally follows local school holidays and breaks but does not close for teacher workdays/planning days unless announced otherwise. Closure dates will be communicated through BAND, email, text, and/or social media.Classes missed due to scheduled holidays, breaks, or announced closures will not be made up, and tuition remains unchanged.
Attendance: Attendance is taken at each class. Perfect attendance recognition is given at the year-end recital to dancers registered by January 9, 2027 who attend every regularly scheduled class; make-up classes do not count. Students must arrive on time and ready for class. Late students may be asked to sit out when safety or disruption is a concern. Repeated lateness may result in termination of lessons.Students missing more than four (4) classes without notifying the studio may be subject to termination. Students missing more than six (6) classes after January 1 may be ineligible for the year-end recital, at the Director’s discretion.
Illness: Students should not attend class if they have a contagious illness, fever, vomiting, diarrhea, or other symptoms that may endanger or expose others. MAD Dance LLC reserves the right to ask a student to leave class if they appear ill.
Care of Students: MAD Dance LLC does not provide supervision or childcare before or after scheduled class times. Parents/guardians of students under age four (4) are required to remain in or near the studio for the duration of class. Students should arrive no earlier than necessary for their scheduled class and must be picked up promptly at the conclusion of class. Students may not be left at the studio for extended periods before or after class.
Parent’s Responsibility to be Aware of Dates and Events: Parents/guardians and adult students are responsible for staying informed of all studio dates, events, and announcements. MAD Dance LLC will communicate through BAND, email, text, and/or social media. Families are responsible for regularly checking these communications and maintaining access to MAD Family BAND. Parents/guardians and adult students must keep their email, phone, and address current in the Studio Pro parent portal.
Photo & Video Release: By enrolling, the parent/legal guardian or adult student grants MAD Dance LLC permission to photograph and/or record the student during classes, rehearsals, performances, events, and other studio activities. MAD Dance LLC may use these photographs and videos for studio-related promotional and educational purposes, including social media, websites, advertising, brochures, posters, recital programs, and other studio materials, without compensation. MAD Dance LLC may edit, reproduce, publish, and distribute such photographs and videos and may use them in connection with the studio's promotional materials.
Costumes: Costumes are for the June 2027 year-end recital.
- Costume fees are NON-REFUNDABLE and are divided into three payments due:

*January 15, 2027
- Costumes are $85 per class. The 2-year-old Ballet/Tap class and dancers ages 3–4 who take Ballet and Tap on the same class day will receive one costume to be worn for both classes for $85 total. Dancers ages 3–4 who take Ballet and Tap on separate days will receive two costumes and will be charged $85 per costume.
- Costume payments received after January 15, 2027 will be subject to a $20 late fee. Costumes will not be ordered for accounts with an outstanding balance. Account must have a zero account balance to receive their costumes.
- Costume fees include the first pair of tights, required accessories, and standard alterations.
- Students who enroll after a costume payment deadline will be responsible for all costume fees that have already become due at the time of enrollment. Remaining costume payments will follow the regular payment schedule. Costume availability and recital participation may be affected by late enrollment.
Recital/Performances:
- We will have two recitals. A casual small recital in December and a formal end of the year recital in June.
- December Recital: A casual holiday/winter recital held at a local venue. No staging rehearsal will be held for this recital in order to keep costs as low as possible for families during the holiday season. A simple, cost-effective themed outfit will be required for participation, with details provided by the studio.
- Our end of the year recital will be held in June at the Townsend Center at The University of West Georgia. Each class will have a rehearsal at the college the week of the recital. We will not have regular classes that week. Tickets for the recital will be sold online by the University. The university does charge a processing fee and taxes for each ticket. Children 2 and under as well as dancers performing in the show will not need a ticket. Tickets & costumes cannot be purchased/received unless accounts have a zero balance. Recital program/memory books can be purchased at the recital $10-12, and program/memory book ads can be purchased for your favorite dancer ($25 - $100).
- If you register after March 12, 2027, you will not be eligible to participate in the recital. Exceptions may be made at the discretion of the Director based on individual circumstances, costume availability, and rehearsal requirements.
- Classes of the same age and/or style will combine for routines for our fall/winter performances and our December recital. For our June recital, each class will learn their own individualized routine.
- Tumble/Gymnastics/Acro classes will not perform a tumble routine at fall/winter performances or the December recital, as studio equipment cannot be transported to every performance. When possible, dancers may be offered a routine in another style to provide a performance opportunity. Tumble/Gymnastics classes will perform their own routine, with mats, at the June recital.
- Fall Events: Optional fall events will be offered and are open to all dancers. Dancers must wear the current season’s Fall Shirt to participate.
- Parent will be responsible for signing up their dancer for any awards that they are eligible for (multiple year awards/perfect attendance) by date required. Failure to do so could result in dancer not receiving trophy during award ceremony at recital.
Recital Media Fee: A mandatory Recital Media Fee is required for all dancers participating in the June recital.
The fee includes:
- A digital video link of the full recital
- The photography session fee for the dancer’s first costume
- A photo credit toward recital pictures
- Recital pictures will be taken approximately April–May, with package options determined by the professional photographer. Video links will be emailed to the account email on file approximately 7–9 weeks after the recital.
- Media Fee:
1 dancer — $55, 2 dancers — $90, 3 dancers — $125, 4 dancers- Contact the studio for applicable media fee pricing.
- The Recital Media Fee must be paid in full by March 1, 2027. Payments received after March 1 will be subject to a $20 late fee. Recital Media Fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Fundraisers/Credits: MAD Dance LLC may offer optional fundraising opportunities throughout the season. Fundraising proceeds are applied as account credits and may not be exchanged for cash or refunds. Account credits may be used toward tuition, costumes, and recital program/memory book ads, unless otherwise specified for a particular fundraiser. All account credits expire one (1) year from the date earned and are non-transferable.
Parent Observation: To provide the best learning environment for our dancers, parents/guardians are not permitted to observe weekly classes. We find that students are more focused, confident, and engaged when they are able to learn without an audience. Throughout the season, MAD Dance LLC will offer Parent Observation Week(s), giving families an opportunity to see their dancer’s progress and experience what they have been working on in class.
Social Media: We love celebrating our dancers and MAD Family on social media! We ask that all communication about MAD Dance LLC remain respectful, appropriate, and supportive.If you have a question, concern, or issue, please bring it directly to MAD staff so we have the opportunity to listen and address it appropriately. Concerns should not be addressed through public social media posts, comments, or other online forums.We are committed to maintaining a positive, respectful environment for our dancers, families, and staff both online and in the studio.
Parent/Guardian Acknowledgment: By completing registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to all Policies & Procedures of Michelle's Academy of Dance by Lindsey (MAD Dance LLC). I understand that these policies apply to my dancer and my family for the 2026–2027 season and agree to comply with them.
