Student Behavior & Classroom Safety Policy
Ms. Lisa's Dance is committed to providing a positive, encouraging, and safe learning environment for every dancer. We understand that children, especially younger dancers, may need reminders throughout class to listen, stay with the group, keep their hands to themselves, and follow directions. Normal classroom corrections and redirections do not count as official behavior warnings.
Teacher Redirection & Classroom Reset
For normal, age-appropriate behaviors such as talking, wandering, becoming distracted, or not following directions, teachers will redirect the dancer as needed.
If the behavior continues, the dancer may be given a brief classroom reset, such as sitting beside the teacher or taking a 1–2 minute break before rejoining the activity. Redirections and classroom resets are not official warnings.
If a dancer continues to significantly disrupt the class, the teacher will speak with studio management before an official warning is given. Before a teacher provides an official warning to parents, management will observe the class, assist the teacher, or recommend additional strategies to help the dancer be successful.
Official Warning #1 — Parent Communication
If the behavior continues despite teacher and management intervention, an official warning may be given and the parent/guardian will be contacted.
An official warning may be given for ongoing behaviors such as:
Repeatedly disrupting instruction or other dancers
Refusing to follow reasonable teacher directions
Repeatedly leaving the classroom or activity
Inappropriate physical contact
Behavior that significantly prevents the class from progressing
The concern will be documented and expectations for future classes will be communicated with the parent.
Official Warning #2 — Parent & Management Conversation
If significant behavior concerns continue, a second official warning may be given. Studio management will communicate with the parent/guardian and may establish a simple behavior plan with clear expectations for continued participation.
Official Warning #3 — Class Placement Review
If the behavior continues after the first two documented warnings and interventions, the dancer's class placement will be reviewed by studio management.
Depending on the situation, next steps may include a different class placement, additional classroom support when reasonably available, a temporary break from classes, or withdrawal from the class/program.
A third warning does not automatically result in removal. Each situation will be reviewed individually by studio management.
Unsafe Behavior
Unsafe behavior does not require three official warnings before action is taken.
Hitting, kicking, pushing, biting, intentionally hurting another person, throwing objects, intentionally damaging studio property, running from the classroom, dangerous use of equipment, or other behavior that creates an immediate safety concern may result in the dancer being immediately removed from the activity.
A parent/guardian may be contacted and asked to pick up the dancer. Serious or repeated unsafe behavior may result in a behavior plan, suspension, class placement review, or removal from the class/program.
Our Approach
We recognize that learning to listen, wait, share space, regulate emotions, and follow directions is part of a child's development. This policy is not intended to discipline children for normal age-appropriate behavior. It is intended for situations where behavior becomes persistent enough to significantly affect the safety, well-being, or learning experience of the dancer, their classmates, or the teacher.
Teachers will generally follow:
Redirect → Reset → Consult Management → Document → Parent Communication
Ms. Lisa's Dance reserves the right to adjust these steps based on the severity, frequency, and circumstances of the behavior in order to maintain a safe and positive environment for all dancers.

-Please label all of your child's belongings, including dance shoes, with his or her name.
-Please make sure to wear approved dance attire. Adherence to this dress code will prevent unnecessary distractions and wardrobe interruptions in the class.
-Approved dress attire for all ballet classes ages 5 & up: black leotard, black dance skirt (optional), pink tights, and pink ballet shoes. Hair must be in a bun! No jewelry.
-Ballet classes ages Baby to 5 years (Includes Baby Ballerina & Twinkle Toes): Pink or Black Leotard, Pink tights (optional for Babies), Pink Ballet shoes, & Pink or black skirt (Optional).
-All other classes may wear: black or pink leotard, black, tan, or pink tights, appropriate shoes for style of dance, and black shorts. Hair must be pulled back away from the face and preferably pulled up off the neck.
-If a dancer is more than 10 minutes late to class and has missed the stretching segment, they will sit out for the remainder of the class.
-Students are asked to follow the teacher's directions. If the student becomes disruptive, they will be removed from the class. If this occurs more than 3 times, they will be removed from Ms. Lisa's Dance classes and no refund will be given.
-The following are not accepted in class: gum, food, drinks (water only), jewelry, toys, and phones.
-Parents are responsible for providing a correct email address to Ms. Lisa's for all communication and checking the lobby bulletin board each week for school/class updates. EMAILS ARE THE MAIN FORM OF COMMUNICATION. Ms. Lisa’s Dance also has an app, to receive studio news directly to your phone.

As a participant in any program or class of Ms. Lisa's Dance Studio & Ms. Lisa's Acro & Tumbling I recognize and acknowledge there are certain risks of physical injury, and I agree to assume the full risks of injuries, including death, damages, or loss that I or my minor child may sustain as a result of participating in any activities connected with or associated with such program or class.
By agreeing to the studio policies I agree to waive and relinquish all claims I or my minor child may have as a result of participating in any program or class against Ms. Lisa's Dance Studio & Ms. Lisa's Acro & Tumbling and its officers, agents, servants, employees, and independent contractors. I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless and defend the Ms. Lisa's Dance Studio and its officers, agents, servants, employees, and independent contractors from my claims resulting from injuries including death, damages, and losses sustained by me or my minor child that arise out of, in connection with, or in any way associated with the activities of this program.

2026–2027 Fall/Spring Tuition Policy
(September 2026–May 2027)
For the 2026–2027 Fall/Spring session, tuition is billed on a month-to-month basis. Tuition is due monthly for each class in which a student is enrolled.

- Monthly Tuition Rates
30–45 minute class: $75 per month
1-hour class: $78 per month

- Multiple-Class Discounts
Students enrolled in multiple classes may qualify for the following monthly tuition rates:

3 Classes $203
4 Classes $258
5 Classes $308
6 Classes $353
7 Classes $355 unlimited

Sibling & Military Discount: $5 off tuition.
Registration Fee: $35 per student/$45 per family.

- Automatic Payments & Card on File
For your convenience, we offer automatic monthly payments. All accounts are required to have a valid credit or debit card on file.
Tuition payments will be processed automatically on the 7th of each month, beginning in October 2026 and continuing through May 2027, unless a student’s enrollment is officially cancelled.
If tuition has not been paid by the 7th of the month, the card on file will be automatically charged for the outstanding tuition balance.

- Class Cancellation/Withdrawal
If you wish to discontinue a class please unenroll from the class in your parent portal or contact the studio via email or at the front desk. Tuition will continue to be charged until the cancellation/withdrawal has been officially submitted and processed.
Please note: Simply stopping attendance does not constitute cancellation of enrollment or tuition.
