Studio Policies & Parent/Guardian Agreement
By registering for classes, camps, workshops, performances, or other studio-related activities, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

Liability & Participation
I agree to hold harmless and release Stage Door Studios/Stage Door University, including its officers, employees, and contractors, both individually and in their professional capacities, from liability for any injury or illness arising from or related to my child’s participation in studio classes, activities, camps, rehearsals, performances, or other studio-related events.

I understand that my child is responsible for having their own health/medical insurance and that I will not hold Stage Door Studios/Stage Door University responsible for medical expenses resulting from participation in studio activities.

Photo & Video Release
I give Stage Door Studios/Stage Door University permission to photograph and/or record my child and to use those photographs or videos, without compensation, for studio publications, advertising, television, social media, and news coverage.

Tuition & Payments
I agree to the pricing and payment structure provided at registration.

I understand that:

Late payments are subject to applicable late fees.

Any past-due account may also be responsible for reasonable legal, collection, or agency fees incurred to collect the balance.

If a check is returned for any reason, I agree to pay the original amount plus a $35 returned-check fee.

Cancellations & Missed Classes
I understand that refunds will not be provided for classes, lessons, camps, workshops, or performances that are cancelled, moved to a virtual platform, or unable to proceed due to governmental orders, natural disasters, pandemics, or other circumstances beyond the studio’s control. When applicable, account credit will be provided.

I understand that no discounts or refunds will be given for missed classes, regardless of the reason for the absence.

Non-Refundable Payments
I understand and agree that all monies paid in advance are non-refundable and non-transferable.

By completing registration, I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and agree to the policies and terms outlined above.

Lesson Cancellation Policy
All lessons require a two-month minimum commitment.

To discontinue lessons or stop automatic payments, one month’s written notice is required, beginning on the 10th of the month.

To withdraw, a parent or legal guardian must:

Complete and sign a withdrawal form, or

Email the studio with the withdrawal request.

Automatic bank debits and credit card charges will stop after the required one-month notice period has been completed.

Rollover Registration
Families are automatically enrolled in Rollover Registration for the next fall season. This provides priority enrollment and helps secure your child’s class placement before public registration opens.

Information regarding rollover registration, including fees, important dates, and opt-out instructions, will be emailed to families in April.

If you do not wish to participate in Rollover Registration, you must complete and submit the Opt-Out Form by May 1.

Tuition & Payment Policy
Tuition rates are based on the full dance season (August–May), including scheduled studio holidays, and are not based on the number of classes in a particular month.

A full season includes a minimum of 34 lessons. Our calendar includes up to 37 instructional weeks, allowing flexibility for schedule changes and unexpected circumstances.

Tuition may be paid monthly or annually.

Monthly Tuition
After registration and payment of the registration fee, monthly tuition for August–May must be paid by automatic bank debit or automatic credit card payment.

Tuition is scheduled to be debited or charged on the 10th of each month.

To avoid an automatic payment, payment by cash, check, or debit card must be received before the 10th.

Accounts not paid by the 10th will be charged a $15 late fee.

Accounts more than 60 days past due may be submitted to a collection service.

Students may not participate in classes while their account is past due.

Virtual Classes & Schedule Changes
In the event of governmental orders, natural disasters, pandemics, or other circumstances beyond the studio’s control, classes may need to be moved to a virtual platform.

Tuition and fees will continue according to the normal payment schedule unless the required 30-day written notice to discontinue payments has been provided.

If the studio initiates a schedule change, an account credit may be issued. Credits may be applied toward SDS tuition or fees due within one year.

Refund Policy
Refunds are only issued when Stage Door Studios cancels a class due to low enrollment.

We are unable to provide refunds or credits for classes, lessons, workshops, performances, or other studio activities that are cancelled, moved to a virtual platform, or unable to proceed due to governmental orders, natural disasters, pandemics, or other circumstances beyond the studio’s control, except where an account credit is specifically provided by the studio.

Recital Performance Package
The Recital Performance Package is paid by automatic bank debit or automatic credit card payment on November 1.

The package includes:
First costume
Tights
Recital T-shirt
Digital recital download

All classes include a costume unless otherwise noted on the class schedule.
Package Pricing:
Children’s Package: $TBD + tax
Rec/Teen Class Package: $TBD + tax
Additional Children’s Costume: $TBD + tax
Additional Rec/Teen Costume: $TBD + tax

Costumes are ordered only after the package payment has been received in full. Students are measured for costumes during class, and costumes are generally delivered between January and April.

Costumes for non-recital participants will be distributed after the recital.

Once a costume has been ordered, it cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded.

Returned Payments
Any NSF or returned payment, including paper checks, automatic bank debits, or automatic credit card payments, will incur a $35 NSF/returned-payment fee. The fee must be paid at the front desk along with the outstanding tuition or balance.

Rollover Registration
All families are automatically included in Rollover Registration for the following season.

*Helps guarantee class placement
*Locks in your current registration fee

Additional information about Rollover Registration, including fees and the opt-out process, will be emailed to families in April.

Families who do not wish to participate must complete and submit the Rollover Opt-Out Form by May 2.
