Liability Waiver & Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in dance, fitness, stretching, and related activities at Dreamlight Dance Studio involves inherent risks of injury, including but not limited to slips, falls, strains, sprains, fractures, and other injuries that may occur during participation.

I certify that my child (or I, if registering as an adult participant) is physically able to participate in the selected activities. I understand it is my responsibility to consult a physician regarding any medical conditions that may affect participation.

In consideration of participation at Dreamlight Dance Studio, I voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation and, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, release and hold harmless Dreamlight Dance Studio, its owner, instructors, independent contractors, employees, volunteers, and affiliates from claims, demands, or liability arising from ordinary negligence related to participation in studio activities, except where prohibited by law or resulting from gross negligence or willful misconduct.

In the event of an emergency, I authorize Dreamlight Dance Studio to obtain emergency medical treatment for my child (or myself if registering as an adult) if I cannot be reached. I understand that I am financially responsible for any medical treatment provided.

By selecting “I Agree,” I acknowledge that I have read, understand, and voluntarily accept this Liability Waiver and Assumption of Risk.

Throughout the season, Dreamlight Dance Studio may photograph or record classes, performances, showcases, special events, and studio activities for educational, promotional, and marketing purposes.

By selecting “I Agree,” I grant Dreamlight Dance Studio permission to use photographs and video recordings of my child (or myself if registering as an adult) on the studio’s website, social media platforms, printed materials, advertisements, and other promotional publications without compensation.

I understand that names and personal information will not be published without additional permission.

If I do not wish for my child (or myself) to appear in photos or videos, I understand it is my responsibility to notify Dreamlight Dance Studio in writing before participation begins.

Parent & Student Code of Conduct

At Dreamlight Dance Studio, we are committed to creating a positive, welcoming, and respectful environment where every child can learn, grow, and feel supported. By registering with Dreamlight Dance Studio, parents/guardians and students agree to the following expectations:

Respect & Kindness

• Treat all students, parents, instructors, staff, and volunteers with kindness, respect, and courtesy.
• Bullying, harassment, discrimination, gossip, intimidation, or disrespectful behavior will not be tolerated.
• Encourage good sportsmanship, teamwork, and positive attitudes both inside and outside of class.

Parent Communication

• We ask that all communication remain respectful and professional.
• If a concern arises, please observe our 24-Hour Rule. We kindly ask that parents wait at least 24 hours before discussing concerns regarding classes, instructors, or studio matters. This allows time for emotions to settle and promotes productive, respectful conversations.
• Concerns should be discussed privately with studio management and never in front of students or other families.
• Parents are asked not to interrupt instructors before, during, or immediately after class while they are supervising students.

Observation & Waiting Area

• Due to limited space, only one parent or guardian may accompany a student into the studio.
• Siblings, additional family members, and guests are not permitted inside the studio during class unless approved by studio management.
• Dreamlight Dance Studio has a small waiting and observation area. If the lobby reaches capacity, parents may be asked to wait outside or in their vehicle until class concludes.
• Please help keep walkways, entrances, and exits clear at all times.

Student Expectations

Students are expected to:

• Listen to instructors and follow directions.
• Show respect toward classmates and staff.
• Use appropriate language and behavior.
• Keep hands, feet, and personal belongings to themselves.
• Take care of studio property and equipment.
• Participate with a positive attitude and encourage fellow dancers.

Safety

• Students should remain with their instructor until released to their approved pick-up person.
• Running, roughhousing, climbing on furniture, or unsafe behavior inside the studio is prohibited.

Social Media

• We encourage families to celebrate their dancers while maintaining respect for all students and instructors.
• Negative, false, or defamatory comments about the studio, instructors, students, or other families—whether made in person or on social media—may be grounds for dismissal from the program.

Studio Policies

• Families agree to follow all studio policies, procedures, tuition policies, and waivers.
• Please ensure students arrive on time and are prepared for class.
• Notify the studio as soon as possible if your child will be absent.

Right to Refuse Service

Dreamlight Dance Studio reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services to any student or family whose behavior is disruptive, abusive, threatening, or repeatedly violates studio policies. Our goal is to maintain a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for all families.

By enrolling in Dreamlight Dance Studio, parents/guardians and students acknowledge that they have read, understand, and agree to abide by this Parent & Student Code of Conduct.

I understand that my registration fee is a one-time fee per season, is non-refundable, and reserves my dancer’s place in class. The registration fee includes one Dreamlight Dance Studio T-shirt or tank.

I understand that tuition is charged for enrollment in the full dance season and reserves my dancer’s place in class. Tuition is not based on the number of classes attended each month.

I acknowledge that tuition is not prorated for holidays, missed classes, weather-related closures, or other unforeseen studio closures. Missed classes do not qualify for refunds or tuition credits unless otherwise determined by Dreamlight Dance Studio.

I understand that classes are subject to minimum enrollment requirements. If a class does not meet the minimum enrollment, Dreamlight Dance Studio may cancel or combine the class or offer a different option and will notify affected families of available options.

I understand that tuition and registration fees are established on a seasonal basis and may be adjusted for future seasons. Any changes will be communicated before the start of a new registration period.

Tuition and registration fees are non-refundable. Once a student has attended their first class of the season, no refunds or credits will be issued for tuition for that month, regardless of withdrawal, missed classes, or schedule conflicts. Exceptions may be made only at the sole discretion of Dreamlight Dance Studio.

* Registration Fee: The $50 registration fee is non-refundable because it reserves a student’s place in the program.
* Withdrawal: If a family chooses to withdraw, they must notify the studio in writing. Tuition already paid is non-refundable, and future tuition obligations will follow the enrollment agreement.
