Clean attire: Dancers should come in clean, well-kept uniforms.
Spirit & Behavior: Clothing should reflect respect and a Christ-like attitude. No inappropriate logos, wording, or images.

## Studio Policies, Assumption of Risk, Release of Liability, and Participant Agreement

Welcome to Holy Rhythm Dance Studio. Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, respectful, and encouraging environment for all participants. By registering for classes, workshops, rehearsals, performances, or other studio activities, each participant (or parent/legal guardian if the participant is under 18 years of age) acknowledges and agrees to the following policies and terms.

# 1. Studio Policies

### Attendance

* Participants are encouraged to attend classes regularly and arrive on time.
* If a participant will be absent, the studio should be notified as soon as possible.
* Make-up classes, if offered, are subject to availability and studio discretion.

### Dress Code

Participants are expected to wear appropriate dance attire and footwear for their assigned class. Loose jewelry or clothing that may interfere with instruction or create a safety hazard should not be worn.

### Respectful Conduct

Holy Rhythm Dance Studio is committed to maintaining a welcoming, respectful, and inclusive environment.

Participants agree to:

* Treat instructors, staff, volunteers, and fellow students with courtesy and respect.
* Refrain from bullying, harassment, discrimination, intimidation, or disruptive behavior.
* Follow instructor directions and studio safety guidelines.

The studio reserves the right to dismiss any participant whose conduct jeopardizes the safety, well-being, or experience of others.

### Personal Property

Participants are responsible for their personal belongings. Holy Rhythm Dance Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property.

# 2. Health and Safety

Participants agree to:

* Participate only if physically able to do so.
* Inform instructors of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, or limitations that may affect participation.
* Refrain from attending class when experiencing symptoms of a contagious illness.

The studio may refuse participation if a participant appears ill or unable to safely participate.

# 3. Assumption of Risk

Dance instruction and physical activity involve inherent risks, including but not limited to:

* Slips, trips, and falls
* Muscle strains or sprains
* Bruises
* Joint injuries
* Fractures
* Concussions
* Other accidental injuries

Participants voluntarily choose to participate and acknowledge these inherent risks.

# 4. Release of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, I voluntarily release, waive, discharge, and hold harmless Holy Rhythm Dance Studio, its owners, directors, instructors, employees, volunteers, contractors, and representatives from any claims, liabilities, demands, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to participation in studio activities, except where caused by gross negligence, willful misconduct, or where otherwise prohibited by law.

I understand that this release applies to classes, rehearsals, performances, competitions, workshops, special events, and any activities conducted by or on behalf of Holy Rhythm Dance Studio.

# 5. Medical Authorization

In the event of an emergency, I authorize Holy Rhythm Dance Studio personnel to seek appropriate emergency medical treatment for the participant if I cannot be reached immediately.

I understand that:

* I am responsible for all medical expenses incurred.
* The studio does not provide health or accident insurance for participants.

# 6. Photography and Media Release

Unless otherwise requested in writing, I grant Holy Rhythm Dance Studio permission to photograph or record the participant during classes, performances, rehearsals, and studio events.

I authorize the studio to use these images or recordings for lawful promotional purposes, including:

* Website
* Social media
* Printed materials
* Advertising
* Marketing
* Newsletters

No compensation will be provided for such use.

If I do not wish to grant this permission, I will notify the studio in writing before participation.

# 7. Tuition, Fees, and Refund Policy

* Tuition and fees are due according to the studio payment schedule.
* Late payments may incur applicable fees.
* Registration fees are non-refundable unless otherwise stated.
* Missed classes generally do not qualify for refunds.
* Refunds or credits for withdrawals are issued only at the discretion of Holy Rhythm Dance Studio unless otherwise required by law.

# 8. Cancellation Policy

The studio reserves the right to:

* Cancel classes due to insufficient enrollment.
* Change instructors or schedules.
* Cancel classes because of severe weather, emergencies, or circumstances beyond its control.

When possible, make-up classes or credits may be offered at the studio's discretion.

# 9. Code of Conduct

Participants and families are expected to:

* Respect studio property.
* Maintain appropriate language and behavior.
* Supervise younger children when not participating in class.
* Follow all posted studio rules.

Violation of studio policies may result in suspension or dismissal without refund, where permitted by law.

# 10. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by applicable law, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless Holy Rhythm Dance Studio, its owners, instructors, employees, volunteers, and representatives from claims arising out of my or my child's negligent or intentional acts during participation in studio activities.

# 11. Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is determined to be unenforceable or invalid under applicable law, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

# 12. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the state or jurisdiction in which Holy Rhythm Dance Studio operates, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

# 13. Acknowledgment

By signing below, I acknowledge that:

* I have carefully read this Agreement.
* I understand its contents.
* I understand that participation involves inherent risks.
* I voluntarily agree to these policies and terms.
* I understand that I am giving up certain legal rights to the extent permitted by law.

4. CLASS INFORMATION & PLACEMENT
Class Offerings
Classes are offered by age and level (Praise Dance, Jazz, , Hip Hop, tap, theatre, Christian Dance (which can include all dance styles ballet, jazz, hip hop, tap, and or theatre). Some classes may require prerequisites.
Placement
Placement is based on:
• Age
• Skill level
• Instructor recommendations
The Director reserves the right to adjust class placement to ensure safe and effective learning.

Regular attendance is essential for progress and choreography preparation.
Please notify the studio if your child will be absent.


7. SAFETY POLICIES
• All staff and volunteers undergo background checks. Students must remain inside the building until picked up by a parent/guardian.
• No running in hallways or studios.
• No food or gum in dance rooms.
• Parents should inform the studio of any medical conditions.
8. PARENT/STUDENT CONDUCT
Parents and students agree to:
• Treat staff and families with respect.
• Communicate concerns kindly and appropriately.
• Refrain from inappropriate conversation, behavior, or dress.
• Support the Christian mission of the studio.
• Students are expected to demonstrate the *fruit of the Spirit* (Galatians 5:22–23): love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
• Students must treat teachers and peers with *respect* and maintain *Christ-honoring behavior.
• Inappropriate movements, behavior, or conversations are not permitted
Every class is intentionally designed to *honor Christ*, ensuring that movement, instruction, and expression align with biblical values.

The Director reserves the right to dismiss a student for behavior that harms the learning environment.

9. TUITION, FEES & REFUND POLICY
Tuition
Tuition is due on the 1st of each month in order for student to participate in class.
Late Payments
A Late fee of $50.00will apply if tuition is not paid by midnight on the 1st of the month.
Refunds
Refunds are not issued for:
• Missed classes
• Voluntary withdrawal mid-month
• Costume purchases
Make-up classes will be an additional fee, and will be based on the availability of the teacher.
Registration Fees
The annual registration fee is $50.00. Registration fees are non-refundable.

11. PERFORMANCES & COSTUMES
Performances
We typically offer:
• Fall or Christmas recital
• Spring recital
• Community or church outreach opportunities
• Competition
Costumes
Costumes must follow modesty guidelines:
• No exposed midriffs
• No overly tight or revealing outfits
• No suggestive themes
Parents are responsible for costume fees.


12. MEDIA, PHOTOS & SOCIAL MEDIA
The studio may take photos/videos for:
• Studio website
• Social media pages
• Recital footage
• Promotional materials
Parents may opt out by submitting a written request.
Students may not post choreography online without permission, however pictures and videos may be taken and posted during technique class and warmups.


13. ILLNESS & INJURY PROCEDURES
Illness
Please keep children home if they show signs of:
• Fever
• Vomiting
• Contagious illness
• Severe cough
Students must be fever-free for 24 hours before returning.
Injury
If injury occurs:
• Instructor will stop activity
• Basic first aid will be administered
• Parents will be notified immediately if injury is serious
• Incident report will be completed






14. EMERGENCY PROCEDURES
In case of emergency:
• Staff will follow evacuation or lockdown protocols
• Emergency contacts will be used if parent cannot be reached
• Emergency services will be contacted when necessary


15. PARENT/STUDENT ACKNOWLEDGMENT
I, the parent/guardian, have read and agree to follow all policies contained in the Parent/Student Handbook for Holy Rhythm Studio.

No-Refund & Class Credit Policy

By registering for a class, you acknowledge and agree to the following policy:

**All class purchases are final and non-refundable.** Once payment has been made, refunds will not be issued for cancellations, missed classes, schedule conflicts, or other circumstances.

If you are unable to attend your scheduled class, you may choose one of the following options, subject to availability:

* **Switch to a different class:** Your class credit may be transferred to another available class. Please contact us in advance to request a class change.

* **Transfer your class credit:** You may pass your unused class credit to another person who would benefit from attending the class. Please notify us of the transfer before the class.

Class transfers and changes are subject to availability and any applicable class restrictions.

**By completing your registration or purchase, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this No-Refund & Class Credit Policy.**

Holy Rhythm Dance Studio reserves the right to make exceptions or modifications to this policy at its discretion.

Payment Policies
