SECTION 2: TUITION AND FEES
2.1 Tuition Structure
☐ Monthly Tuition due September through May for regular season classes. Summer classes billed separately and due the 15TH of each month June, July, and August.
☐Please ask studio for tuition rates
☐ Drop-In Rate: $25+tax per hour (space permitting)
2.2 Required Fees (Please note, recital participation is optional, recital fee and costume fee/s required for recital participation.)

2.3 Payment Terms
Monthly Tuition/Payments Due: 15TH of each month (September through May for regular season classes; summer classes billed separately, 15TH of each month, June, July, August)

2.4 Late Payment and Returned Checks
☐ Late fee of 2% charged after last day of the month
☐ Returned check fee: $35
☐ Dancer may be removed from class after 60 days of non-payment
☐ Accounts + 75days past due may be sent to collections
2.5 Tuition Discounts
☐ 5% tuition discount for all children, when more than one child is registered
☐ When customer pays for September through January tuition by September 15, customer receives a 5% tuition discount on those months. When customer pays for September through May tuition by September 15, customer receives a 10% tuition discount on those months. This applies to class tuition only and no other additional fees.
SECTION 3: ATTENDANCE AND MAKEUP POLICY
3.1 Attendance Expectations
☐ Regular attendance is essential for technique development and performance preparation
☐ 80% attendance in classes is required for recital participation
3.2 Absences
☐ Please notify Studio of absences via email or phone
☐ No refunds or credits for missed classes
☐ Makeup classes may be available (see below)
3.3 Makeup Classes
☐ Students may makeup classes in same level or lower/style class
☐ Makeups must be scheduled prior to the end of the current season
☐ Please ask studio for makeup options for classes that do not have another section, or lower level
SECTION 4: DRESS CODE AND ATTIRE
4.1 General Requirements
☐ Hair must be secured away from face (bun for ballet)
☐ No jewelry during class
☐ Proper dance attire required for all classes
☐ Street shoes not permitted on dance floor
☐ Please see website (artists-unlimited.com) for class specific dress codes
SECTION 5: STUDIO POLICIES
5.1 Drop-Off and Pick-Up
☐ Parents/guardians responsible for timely drop-off and pick-up
☐ Dancers may not be left at Studio more than [15] minutes before/after class
5.2 Waiting Area
☐ Parents may wait in designated waiting areas
☐ Siblings must be supervised at all times
5.3 Classroom Observation
☐ Parents may observe classes from the televisions in the waiting area
☐ Photographs and recording during class is not permitted
5.4 Studio Closures
Studio is closed on the following holidays:
☐ New Year’s Day and Eve
☐ Easter
☐ Memorial Day
☐ Independence Day
☐ Labor Day
☐ Thanksgiving (Tuesday-Sunday)
☐ Winter Break: Sunday, December 20, 2026-Saturday, January 2, 2027
☐ Spring Break: Sunday, March 14-Saturday, March 20, 2027
Note: Tuition is calculated on an annual basis and divided evenly; no adjustments for studio closures.
5.5 Inclement Weather
☐ Studio may close when Ames school district closes. When Ames schools are canceled due to weather, we will determine by 2pm if Artists Unlimited classes will be canceled that day.
☐ Check our website, social media, and outgoing phone message for closure announcements
☐ Students may make up canceled classes anytime before the end of the season
5.6 Student Conduct
Dancers are expected to:
☐ Show respect to instructors and fellow dancers
☐ Listen attentively and follow directions
☐ Keep hands to themselves
☐ Use appropriate language
☐ Take care of Studio property
SECTION 6: PERFORMANCES AND RECITALS
6.1 Recital Participation
☐ Dancers may (but are not required) to participate in the annual recital with classes that have a recital option
☐ Recital participation requires payment of additional fees, as noted in section 2.2
6.2 Recital Rehearsals
☐ Dress rehearsals will take place at the venue prior to the performance(s)
☐ Attendance at dress rehearsal is mandatory
6.3 Costumes
☐ Costumes become property of dancer after recital, if fully paid
☐ NO REFUNDS on costume orders
6.4 Recital Tickets
☐ There are no recital tickets, you may invite as many people to the performances as you wish
6.5 Artists Unlimited Company (If Applicable)
☐ Competition team participation by audition/invitation only
☐ Additional fees, time commitment, and contract required
☐Artists Unlimited Company Fees include Costumes, Music, Entry Fees, Misc., Artists Unlimited Rehearsal Tuition, One Workshop (Company 4 and up), and TBA Guest Instructors (Company 4 and up)
☐Artists Unlimited Company Fees do Not include the following:
--Studio Registration Fee, Tights, Make-up, Hair, Jewelry, Accessories, Shoes, Socks, Props, Sales Tax
--Recital Costumes and recital performance fees
--Bags and Warm-ups are required, Artists Unlimited Company Wear is optional
--All travel, lodging, meals, etc. are the personal responsibility of individuals
--Optional/Additional activities the studio or Artists Unlimited Company Foundation may or may not offer
--Additional optional solo and titlist fees
☐Artists Unlimited Company Fees do Not include REQUIRED ARTISTS UNLIMITED BALLET CLASSES
Company levels 1 & 2: Appropriate First Steps class (once/week)
Company level 3: Ballet 1 (ballet class once/week)
Company levels 4 & 5: 2 weekday ballet classes (ballet class twice/week)
Weekend classes are for makeup or extra/additional training
Artists Unlimited Company members are required to take the minimum requirement, and the majority of their Ballet and Pointe training at the Artists Unlimited from Sept through May. Attendance must be maintained at 80% levels or above in studio ballet and AU Company Classes at only 5 absences per season to maintain Company status
SECTION 7: PHOTO/VIDEO RELEASE
7.1 Studio Use of Images
If permission is granted for studio to photograph or video customer’s dancer, images may be used for:

☐ Social media (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.)
☐ Print marketing materials (brochures, flyers, posters)
☐ Video promotions
☐ Press/media releases
☐ In-studio displays
7.2 Recital Recording
☐ Professional recital video/photos will be available
☐ Personal recording during performances is not permitted
SECTION 8: HEALTH AND SAFETY
8.1 Illness Policy
☐ Dancers with fever, vomiting, or contagious illness should not attend
☐ If Dancer becomes ill at Studio, Parent will be contacted for pickup
☐ Notify Studio of any communicable disease exposure
8.4 Injury Protocol
☐ Minor injuries will be treated with basic first aid
☐ Parents will be notified of any injury
☐ EMS will be called for serious injuries
☐ Parent/Guardian is responsible for medical costs
SECTION 9: WITHDRAWAL AND REFUND POLICY
9.1 Withdrawal
☐ Students may not make up missed classes for a class from which they have withdrawn
☐ Written notice must be submitted via email
☐ Tuition is due through the date of notice
9.2 Refunds
☐ Registration fees are non-refundable
☐ Costume fees are non-refundable once ordered
☐ Monthly tuition is non-refundable
☐ Tuition may be credited or refunded pro-rata for medical reasons with documentation
☐ Recital fees refundable only if withdrawal occurs before January 1
9.3 Mid-Session Enrollment
☐ Dancers may enroll mid-session if space permits
☐ Registration fee and any missed fees associated with recital are due at enrollment
SECTION 10: GENERAL PROVISIONS
10.1 Changes to Schedule or Policies
☐ Studio reserves the right to modify class schedules with notice
☐ Studio reserves the right to combine or cancel classes with low enrollment
☐ Studio policies may be updated; current policies posted at artists-unlimited.com
10.2 Communication
☐ Primary communication via email
☐ Parent responsible for checking communications regularly
☐ Parent is responsible for making sure we have their current email address and phone number on file
10.3 Governing Law
This Agreement is governed by the laws of Iowa
10.4 Severability
If any provision is unenforceable, remaining provisions continue in effect.
10.5 Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.
SECTION 11: PARENT/GUARDIAN ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
By electronically signing this document, I acknowledge and agree to the following:

☐ I am the parent or legal guardian of the dancer named herein
☐ I agree to pay all tuition and fees as described
☐ I understand the attendance and makeup policies
☐ I understand and accept the dress code requirements
☐ I have read and agree to the liability waiver and release
☐ I authorize emergency medical treatment for my dancer
☐ I understand the withdrawal and refund policy
☐ I consent to photograph/video use as indicated
☐ I have provided accurate emergency contact and medical information
☐ I agree to receive communications from Studio electronically
