Terms & Conditions of Enrolment

These Terms & Conditions apply to all students and families enrolled at Kristy Rose Academy of Dance (Kristy Rose). By enrolling, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these terms.
Enrolment
• Enrolment at Kristy Rose is a full-year commitment and is ongoing unless cancelled in accordance with these terms.
• Enrolments automatically roll over each year.
• If a student is not returning for the following year, notice must be submitted by email only to info@kristyrose.com.au no later than 20 December of the current year. As all enrolments are managed online, verbal notice or notice via social media will not be accepted. Failure to provide notice by this date will result in the annual enrolment/registration fee being charged for the new year.
• A non-refundable annual enrolment fee of $40 plus GST per student applies and covers administration, music licensing, and public liability insurance.
o For new students, this fee is payable upon registration.
o For returning students, this fee is payable mid-January each year.
• Kristy Rose does not accept casual or pay-as-you-go enrolments.
• Some classes are by invitation or audition only, including performance groups and private lessons.
Fees & Payments
General Payment Terms
• Enrolment is presumed for the entire calendar year and invoiced accordingly. Fees will continue to be charged until Kristy Rose receives written notice of withdrawal in accordance with these Terms & Conditions.
• To withdraw from any class, a minimum of four (4) weeks’ notice per class is required. Notice must be submitted by email only to info@kristyrose.com.au.
• Fees during the notice period are charged at the full, non-discounted rate and will be invoiced accordingly upon withdrawal notification.
• No credits, refunds, or make-up classes are offered for absences, illness, family holidays / commitments, or change of mind.
• For extended absences, a 50% holding fee may be applied at the discretion of the Academy to retain the student’s place.
• All classes are invoiced annually and payable by weekly direct debit. All families must be registered as direct debit customers.
• Requests to pay term fees upfront may be considered upon written request. If approved:
o Term fees must be paid prior or by the appointed date of the relevant term.
o Payment is by bank transfer, and a remittance verification must be emailed to admin.
o A non-refundable annual registration fee of $40 plus GST per student applies and is payable at enrolment and Mid January each subsequent year.
Cancellation of Enrolment
• A minimum of 4 weeks’ written notice is required to cancel enrolment.
• All cancellation notices must be submitted by email only to info@kristyrose.com.au. As all enrolments are managed online, verbal notice or notice provided to teachers, staff, or via social media will not be accepted.
• If a student is not returning for the following year, cancellation notice must be received by 20 December of the current year to avoid the new year enrolment/registration fee being charged.
• If written notice is not received in accordance with these terms, fees will continue to be deducted by direct debit.
• Cancellation of private or troupe competition lessons before year-end will incur a full terms fees for all enrolled lessons at full price.
Arrears & Late Fees
• It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to monitor their account and promptly rectify any arrears.
• A $5.00 late fee applies to overdue term payments, with an additional $5.00 charged every 7 days thereafter.
• A $5.00 late fee applies to defaulted direct debit payments, with a further $5.00 charged every 7 days after notification.
• Kristy Rose Academy of Dance reserves the right to refer any overdue or outstanding account to a debt collection agency. Any costs, fees, or charges incurred in the recovery of outstanding amounts, including debt collection and legal costs, will be payable by the customer.
Direct Debit
• Families are responsible for ensuring their direct debit details remain current. Updated details can be done through your parent portal.
• Kristy Rose Academy of Dance is authorised, via BECS / Stripe as part of Dance Studio Pro to debit tuition fees weekly on Thursdays, up to a maximum of 48 payments per year. Other days and times may be requested in writing to info@kristyrose.com.au.
• A valid direct debit mandate must be maintained at all times during enrolment.
Class Changes, Cancellations & Substitutions
Government Mandatory Closures
• For any Mandatory Closures, consisting of less than 7 days your direct debit payments will continue as normal.
• Cancellation of classes due to Extreme Weather
Kristy Rose Academy of Dance reserves the right to cancel classes for the following conditions beyond our control or due to unforeseen circumstances
• Extreme Weather
Temperature over 40 degrees
Inclement Weather, such as thunderstorms, hail and rain, electrical storm, dust storm or other weather alerts.
Power outages where classes cannot continue.
smoke from bushfires
We will make a reasonable effort to inform you of any cancellation of classes in advance via our parent portal, social media channels, and email. There will be no discounts or refunds offered for classes cancelled.
Gala, Concert & Costume Fees
• Participation in the Annual Gala is compulsory for all students.
• Gala costumes are ordered by the Academy and cost approximately $90–$150 per costume. Deposits are requested in Term 3.
• Any remaining costume balance, including additional supplier costs (exchange rates, taxes, duties, shipping), is payable prior to costume collection.
• No refunds or credits are available once costumes have been ordered.
• The Concert Package (studio rehearsals, theatre rehearsal, and digital video download) is $85 per student, payable in Week 4 of Term 4.
• Concert and costume fees are strictly non-refundable.
• Concert tickets will be available from Mandurah Performing Arts Centre box office approximately one month prior to the performance.
Additional Costs (Not Included in Tuition)
Tuition fees do not include:
• Costumes and accessories
• Annual Gala rehearsal and performance fees
• Exams, competitions, and entry fees
• Private lessons and exam coaching
• Holiday programs
• Uniforms, shoes, or required accessories
Private Lessons
• Private lessons are offered by invitation only and are a permanent booking.
• All private lessons are payable by the term and must be paid even if the lesson is missed.
• Teachers are allocated by the Academy; requests for specific teachers cannot be accommodated.
Kristy Rose reserves the right to withdraw a student from private tuition at any time.
Uniform Policy
• All students are required to wear the official Kristy Rose uniform for their enrolled class.
• Uniform details are on the Krise Rose web page.
• Correct uniform must be worn to participate in class.
• Hair must be neat, secure, and styled as required for each class (including buns where applicable).
• Jewellery is not permitted for safety reasons.
• Failure to comply with uniform requirements may result in students being asked to sit out of class.
• Uniform requirements apply to all regular classes, rehearsals, examinations, competitions, and performances unless otherwise advised.
Behaviour & Conduct
• Students are expected to behave respectfully toward teachers, staff, peers, and property at all times.
• Bullying, disruptive behaviour, or repeated non-compliance with instructions will not be tolerated.
• Parents/guardians must behave respectfully toward staff, students, and other families.
• Kristy Rose Academy of Dance reserves the right to suspend or terminate enrolment for behaviour deemed inappropriate, unsafe, or harmful.
Attendance, Punctuality & Supervision
• Regular attendance is expected to ensure student progress and class consistency
• Students must arrive on time and be collected promptly at the end of class.
• Kristy Rose supervises all enrolled students during classes and planned activities and rehearsals.
• Kristy Rose cannot accept responsibility for supervising students outside of these hours.
• If you are running late to pick up your child, please email, call or message Miss Kristy to let us know so that we can supervise your child until you arrive.
• Any child that’s parent is not at the studio when class is dismissed will be returned to reception to wait.
• Children are encouraged to ask their teacher or a reception staff member for assistance if their parent is late collecting them.
Personal Property
• Kristy Rose Academy of Dance is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property.
• Please ensure all your belongings are marked with your name. Lost property will be kept at the studio for 2 weeks and will then be discarded if unnamed and unclaimed.
Code of Conduct
Kristy Rose is committed to providing a safe, positive, and respectful learning environment.
Students Must:
• All mobile phones must be switched off or be put on silent and left in your bag during the class.
• Treat teachers, staff, and fellow students with respect.
• Follow studio etiquette, uniform, and grooming requirements.
• Arrive prepared and on time for classes.
• Refrain from bullying, harassment, or disruptive behaviour.
Parents/Guardians Must:
• Communicate respectfully with staff at all times.
• Direct all enquiries, absences, and concerns to admin (not teachers).
• Support studio policies and professional boundaries.
• Kristy Rose does not tolerate inappropriate social media conduct from students, parents or extended family.
Breaches of the Code of Conduct may result in written warnings or immediate termination of enrolment without refund.
Health, Safety & Supervision
• All teachers hold current Working with Children Checks and First Aid Certification.
• Kristy Rose does not provide supervision outside of scheduled class times.
• Parents/guardians are responsible for ensuring students are medically fit for participation.
• Any medical conditions or action plans must be disclosed at enrolment.
Assumption of Risk & Medical Emergencies
• Please give the studio a call or quick email or SMS if you are planning to be absent.
• Dance and physical activity involve inherent risk. By enrolling, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept these risks.
• If you have an injury, you (or your parent/guardian if applicable) must let your teacher know before class. Any injury incurred on our premises must be reported immediately so that urgent medical attention can be sought if necessary. Please note that teachers and assistants may need to make physical contact with students to guide them and prevent injuries.
• Kristy Rose Academy of Dance is authorised to seek medical treatment for a student in the event of illness or injury.
• All medical and emergency costs, including ambulance fees, are the responsibility of the parent/guardian.
• Parents/guardians must ensure emergency contact details are kept up to date in the Parent Portal.
Photography, Video & Social Media
• Kristy Rose may photograph or record students during classes, rehearsals, or performances for promotional and educational purposes.
• Content may be used on websites, social media, marketing materials, or promotional campaigns.
• Permission is granted for students to be photographed or recorded during Kristy Rose activities for promotional purposes.
Liability, Damage & Personal Injury
• Participation in dance and physical activities involves inherent risk.
• Kristy Rose, its staff, contractors, and venue providers are not liable for any injury, loss, or damage sustained by students or accompanying persons, except where required by law.
• Kristy Rose is not responsible for loss or damage to personal property brought onto the premises.
• Any damage caused by a student to studio property, venues, or equipment (including mirrors, floors, sound systems, costumes, or props) will be invoiced to the parent/guardian.
Copyright, Intellectual Property & Choreography
• All choreography, routines, class content, lesson plans, music edits, formations, concepts, teaching methods, and creative works developed, taught, or performed at Kristy Rose are the intellectual property of the Academy and/or its teaching staff.
• Choreography may not be copied, replicated, recorded for redistribution, taught, shared, or performed outside of Kristy Rose without prior written consent. This includes parents posting videos of students performances on social media (please ask permission).
• Video or audio recordings of classes or choreography are not permitted unless expressly approved by Kristy Rose.
• Students may perform Academy choreography only at approved events and competitions.
• Breaches of this clause may result in termination of enrolment without refund.
Trial Classes
• Trial classes are offered under Kristy Rose “Love It or It’s Free” guarantee.
• If a student does not continue after the trial, no charge applies for that class.
• If the student enrols, the trial class is charged as the first week of tuition.

Term 1 - Monday 2nd February 2026 Term 2 - Monday 20th April 2026

Break April 3 rd. -19 th Break July 4 th -19 th
Term 3 - Monday 20th July 2026 Term 4 - Monday 12th October 2026
Saturday 26th September 2026 Saturday 12th December 2024
Break September 27 th - October 11 th.
Examinations & Competitive Program
• Examinations and competitive teams are optional and subject to eligibility, audition, and commitment requirements.
• Competitive students must demonstrate a high level of commitment, attendance, and home practice.
• There are compulsory classes for students participating in competitive programs.
Contacting Teachers, Admin Staff & Coaches
• All communication regarding enrolments, payments, absences, concerns, or changes must be directed to Admin via email at info@kristyrose.com.au.
• Teachers and coaches are not to be contacted directly regarding administrative or policy matters.
• Teaching staff are not available for unscheduled discussions before or after class.
• Appointments with teaching staff may be requested via Admin where appropriate.
• Inappropriate, abusive, or excessive communication may result in restricted contact or termination of enrolment.
• Families are responsible for keeping contact and medical details up to date.
• Kristy Rose reserves the right to amend fees, schedules, faculty, and programs where necessary.
Force Majeure
• Kristy Rose will not be liable for failure to deliver services due to events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, or venue closures.
• Fees remain payable unless otherwise determined by the Academy.
Amendments To Terms & Conditions
• Kristy Rose reserves the right to update or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
• Updated terms will be published on the Kristy Rose website and/or Parent Portal and will apply immediately upon publication.
Acceptance of Terms
• By enrolling at Kristy Rose Academy of Dance, you confirm that you accept and agree to these Terms & Conditions in full.
