IMPORTANT PLEASE READ & ACCEPT TERMS

Yavapai Ballet Theatre (YBT) is committed to casting dancers in a manner that upholds artistic integrity, supports dancer development, and reflects the professionalism of our productions. Casting decisions are made with care and are based on the following criteria:

----Casting Criteria----
Dancers are cast according to their ability and technical readiness for the role; availability for rehearsals, performances, and required events; adherence to their home studio and YBT conduct and attendance policies. Continued good standing with one’s home studio is required for participation in YBT productions.

---Casting Acceptance & Role Changes----
All cast members will have one week from the date casting is released to accept or relinquish their role(s). If a dancer relinquishes a role, YBT cannot guarantee that an alternate role will be offered.

Role Adjustments
Casted roles are not contracts. YBT reserves the right—at the discretion of the Artistic Team to: reassign roles; remove a dancer from a role; adjust casting to support artistic needs, safety, or production requirements. These adjustments may occur at any point in the production timeline , in line with accepted industry standards for notice to cast, families and understudies.

----Role Categories----
Roles within YBT productions fall into the following categories:
- Principal
- Soloist
- Demi‑Soloist
- Corps de Ballet
- Affiliate

---------------Tier One Engagement----------------------------
(Required for Principal, Soloist, and Demi‑Soloist roles)
Dancers in Tier One agree to:
- Commit to biweekly (2x/month) private lessons beginning immediately after casting
- Attend five weekend rehearsals during the fall season (schedule released in August)
- Perform in Gala performances and pop‑up events
- Maintain full attendance in their home studio ballet classes, in accordance with studio policy

---------------Tier Two Engagement-----------------------------
(Required for Corps de Ballet roles)
Dancers in Tier Two agree to:
- Attend five weekend rehearsals during the fall season
- Perform in pop‑up events as scheduled
- Maintain full attendance in their home studio ballet classes

---------------Casual Engagement---------------------------------
(Required for Affiliate roles)
Dancers in Casual Engagement agree to:
- Attend five weekend rehearsals during the fall season
- Maintain full attendance in their home studio ballet classes

--- Acknowledgment ----
By participating in YBT auditions, dancers and their families acknowledge that:
- They understand the engagement requirements associated with each role category
- They agree to uphold these expectations if cast in production

Yavapai Ballet Theatre
Videography & Photography Release Form

Yavapai Ballet Theatre (YBT) documents classes, rehearsals, performances, and community events to celebrate our dancers, promote our mission, and support nonprofit outreach. This form grants permission for YBT to capture and use images and video of the dancer named above.

Grant of Permission
I hereby grant Yavapai Ballet Theatre, its directors, staff, volunteers, and authorized partners the irrevocable right to:
-- Photograph, film, or otherwise record the dancer during classes, rehearsals, performances, and YBT-related events.
-- Use, reproduce, publish, livestream, broadcast, or distribute these images and recordings in any media now known or later developed.
-- Use the dancer’s image, voice, likeness, and performance for promotional, educational, archival, and fundraising purposes consistent with YBT’s nonprofit mission.

This permission includes use on (but is not limited to):
-- YBT’s website and social media
-- Printed programs, posters, and marketing materials
-- Grant applications and donor communications
-- Press releases and media coverage
-- Archival recordings and livestreams of performances

No Compensation
I understand that no financial compensation will be provided for the use of these images or recordings, and that YBT retains all rights to the materials created.

Voluntary Participation
I understand that participation is voluntary. If I have specific concerns or need accommodations regarding photography or videography, I may contact YBT’s Artistic Director to discuss options.

Release of Liability
I release Yavapai Ballet Theatre, its representatives, and partners from any claims, demands, or causes of action arising from the use of these images or recordings, provided such use is consistent with YBT’s mission and values.
