Studio Policies, Terms & Conditions, Codes of Conduct & Waivers
1. Terms & Conditions of Enrolment
By registering with BluPrint Dance Co., families agree to all policies, codes of conduct, and terms outlined below. These conditions apply to all dancers, parents/guardians, and staff for the duration of enrolment.
BluPrint Dance Co. reserves the right to amend policies at any time. Updated policies will be communicated via official studio channels and take effect immediately.
2. Registration & Enrolment Policy
All dancers must be registered prior to participating in classes.
Registrations submitted after advertised deadlines may be accepted at the discretion of BluPrint Dance Co. and may incur a late registration fee. Late registration does not guarantee placement in preferred classes, levels, or teams.
BluPrint Dance Co. reserves the right to refuse or cancel enrolment due to capacity limits, behavioural concerns, or failure to comply with studio policies.
3. Fees, Payments & Refund Policy
All fees are outlined at the time of registration and are payable by the stated due dates.
Tuition fees are non-refundable, including absences, injuries, holidays, or withdrawals. Missed classes are not eligible for refunds or credits unless required by law.
Failed or overdue payments may result in suspension from classes until accounts are brought up to date.
Competition, costume, and music fees are non-refundable once committed.
4. Registration Late Fee Policy
Registrations submitted after the advertised deadline will incur a late registration fee per dancer. Late fees are payable immediately and are non-refundable.
Late registration does not guarantee availability in specific classes or teams.
5. Attendance & Punctuality Policy
Consistent attendance is expected from all dancers. For team and competitive programs, attendance is mandatory for classes, rehearsals, and competitions. We understand that life happens, and events/special circumstances may arise, please see below reasons for an approved/ unapproved absence for our students.
Please note all requests must be submitted & approved by your coach, at least 3 weeks before the event (or earlier if possible). If any of these events fall within a 3-week period before a competition, please speak with your coach to see what can be done, otherwise athlete/s may become an understudy at that upcoming competition (at the coach's discretion), depending on how much effect any absences have on the team.
Unapproved reasons: - Birthday Celebrations- Social Events/parties- “Don’t feel like it”- Withholding child from training as a form of punishment- Minor Injuries/recovery (please see more below)- Appointments- Holidays- Public Holidays
Approved reasons: - Weddings- Compulsory school/work events (Camps, Formals, Exams, Deb etc.)- Contagious Illness (please see more info below)- Family Emergencies (please see more info below)- Religious reason
6. Illnesses/ Injuries
If you are extremely ill or contagious and unable to even sit out and watch, you must contact the studio or your coach. In these circumstances, a doctor’s certificate is required. If you are unwell but not contagious or have an injury you will still be expected to attend your class so that you can still be with the team and know any choreography changes etc. This shows your coaches/teammates that you are committed to the team, and although you may not be able to participate physically, it still shows that you are a team player
7. Uniform & Presentation Policy
Dancers are required to wear the correct uniform and footwear for all classes and events as prescribed by their coach.
Hair and presentation requirements must be followed, particularly for performances and competitions.
8. Behaviour Management Policy
BluPrint Dance Co. maintains a respectful, inclusive, and disciplined training environment.
Disruptive, unsafe, or disrespectful behaviour will result in warnings and may lead to suspension or termination of enrolment without refund.
9. Zero Tolerance for Bullying
BluPrint Dance Co. is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all dancers, families, and staff. Bullying of any kind will not be tolerated. This includes verbal, physical, social, or online behaviour that intimidates, harms, excludes, or humiliates another person, whether it occurs in class, at events, or within the studio community online.
All reports of bullying are taken seriously and addressed promptly. BluPrint Dance Co. operates under a zero-tolerance approach, meaning bullying behaviour may result in immediate consequences, including suspension or termination of enrolment without refund. Retaliation against anyone who raises a concern is strictly prohibited. The safety and wellbeing of our dancers will always take priority.
10. Liability Waiver & Risk Acknowledgement
Dance and physical training involve inherent risks, including injury.
By enrolling, parents/guardians acknowledge and accept these risks and agree that BluPrint Dance Co., its staff, and affiliates are not liable for injuries sustained during classes, rehearsals, or events, except where required by law.
Participation is undertaken at the dancer’s own risk.
11. Medical & Emergency Consent
Parents/guardians consent to BluPrint Dance Co. seeking medical treatment for their child in the event of an emergency if they cannot be contacted.
It is the responsibility of families to disclose relevant medical conditions or injuries and keep information up to date.
12. Heat Policy
All class adjustments will be at the discretion of the Studio Owner. In non-airconditioned facilities when the ambient temperature published by the Bureau of Meteorology is forecast to reach 36 or above, we will postpone classes to a cooler part of the day, or cancel training, or change the class plan to do safe activities that contribute to a positive team session such as bonding. We understand if you are not comfortable with your child attending in these conditions which means you can choose not to bring them, however, please keep in mind that we will take extreme care of all athletes during this time.
13. Media Release
BluPrint Dance Co. may photograph or film dancers during classes, rehearsals, and events for promotional and marketing purposes.
By registering, families grant permission for use of images and video unless written notice is provided to opt out.
14. Social Media Policy
BluPrint Dance Co. acknowledges our parents and athletes right to contribute content to social platforms including but not limited to; Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, YouTube, Twitter. However, as inappropriate use of these platforms can cause lasting damage to all parties, the following rules apply to all parents and students within BluPrint Dance Co:
1. Parents and students must not share content or participate in any behaviour that does not align with our values, whilst wearing BluPrint Dance Co. apparel or representing BluPrint Dance Co. in anyway. Any kind of content posted that is contrary to the goals, ideals and vision for BluPrint Dance Co. will be taken very seriously.
2. Parents & students are not permitted to create private groups/chats outside of their Facebook page in relation to team groups.
3. Parents & students are to refrain from direct messaging staff via social media, all enquires, questions &conversations must be done via email to admin@bluprintdance.com
Parents & students must comply with all requirements of this policy. Our ethics are something we highly value and anyone portraying anything to the contrary will face disciplinary action.
15. Privacy Policy
BluPrint Dance Co. collects personal information for the purpose of managing enrolments, communication, and studio operations.
All personal information is stored securely and handled in accordance with Australian Privacy Principles.
16. Competitive & All-Star Team Policies
Team Commitment Policy
All competitive dancers commit to the full season. Mid-season withdrawals do not release families from financial obligations unless previously discussed and agreed with the studio.
Competition Day Policy
It is an AASCF rule to not have any cropped clothing items worn around competition ground except when warming up and competing, please make sure to cover up between performances with the set BluPrint Dance Co. apparel items. Athletes will be required to meet their team for competitions at least 1 hour prior to warmup – exact meet times will be posted in the weeks leading up to comps. Athletes must be fully comp ready (all jewellery removed, costume, hair and makeup ready) at their meet time. At competitions we also ask that students & parents refrain from filming other clubs’ routines and avoid being on their phones during awards.
Competition & Travel Policy
Families are responsible for competition fees, travel, accommodation, and supervision unless otherwise stated. All dancers and families must follow codes of conduct at events.
Injury & Return-to-Dance Policy
Medical clearance may be required and presented to the Studio/ Coaches before returning to full participation following injury.
17. Complaints & Grievance Policy
Concerns must be raised respectfully and privately via official studio communication channels.
Public complaints or social media posts regarding studio matters will not be tolerated.
18. Child Safe Standards & Child Safety Commitment
BluPrint Dance Co. is committed to providing a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where all children and young people are protected, respected, and empowered.
We uphold our responsibilities under the Australian National Child Safe Principles and recognise that child safety is a shared responsibility across leadership, staff, families, and the wider community.

Final Acknowledgement
By completing registration, families confirm they have read, understood, and agree to all policies, waivers, and codes of conduct outlined above.
