FEES & PAYMENT
- Fees must be paid by the end of the business week of Week 3 of the term (dates below). A late fee of $10 will be added per each fortnight the fee is not paid.
- Any student whose fees are not paid by Week 5 will not be able to continue with class until remaining fees are paid.
- Any classes missed by the student will not be reimbursed.
- Any withdrawals made before or during Week 4 of the term will only need to pay the attended classes. Any withdrawals after Week 4 will need to pay the Full-Term Fee.
- If the Term fee has been paid by the student and the student can no longer complete the term due to a medical condition, the remaining class fees will be refunded at the studios discretion.
- Any classes cancelled unexpectedly by the Studio will be reimbursed if a replacement lesson can’t be made. Tuition paid by Ticket to Play will not have their class refunded.
- Costume Fees will be added to invoices during the year. Due dates will be advised by the studio as soon as possible. The $10 late fee also applies to costume payments.
- Costumes are the studios property, any unreasonable damage made to the costumes in the students will have a damage fee of set by the studio. This includes pom uniforms.
- Enrolment Fees are non-refundable.
- Term fees are adjusted automatically in regards to how many weeks per term.
CLASS RULES
- Students are asked to arrive to class 5 minutes before the class starts.
- If a student has missed 4 or more classes in a term the teacher has the right to remove the student from any group dances, or projects.
- Parents/Guardians are responsible for underage students before and after class times.
- Parents must walk their student to and from the hall. Children 6 & under must hold an adults hand.
- No Spectating of the class is allowed except for Pre School/ Tiny Tot Classes. Spectators should be respectful and keep their noise to a minimum & supervise young children.
- No chewing gum is permitted during class.
- Students must ask permission to leave the dance studio.
- Mobile phones are to be left in bags during class time. Students are only allowed to use phones with teacher’s approval.
- Class groups and sizes, song choices, costumes, props, etc. will be chosen and approved by the studio. Decisions that are made are final.
- The studio accepts no responsibility for lost or stolen items left at the studio. Lost and found will be held for a limited time.
- Members are to respect the Hall space and only be in the Main Hall Space, Foyer & Toilet areas. Any unreasonable damage caused by a student will need to cover the charge.
INJURY & ILLINESS MANAGEMENT & ABSENCES
- Students are required to notify the studio of any illnesses or injuries before class that may effect a students participation.
- Students are to notify the the studio of any injuries that arise in class. Any injuries occurred in class are added to the students file for reference.
- Students are asked to notify the studio of absences and missed rehearsals. Unexplained absences are recorded. Please see Class Rules Point 2 & Cheer Specific Policies Point 1
- The Studio reserves the right to sit students out of class if an injury or illness arises that may be impacted negatively by participating in further movement or training.
- CHEER SPECIFIC POLICIES
- Students who miss or do not participate in 3 or more class will be asked to leave the class due to the nature of team lifting skills.
- Students must complete the studio warm ups to be allowed to participate in class. Please avoid being late to class to avoid this.
- Students must wear correct attire to cheer classes. (including footwear)
ETTIQUETTE & STUDIO REPRENTATION
- The studio has a Strict No Bullying rule inside or outside the studio. Any student or Parent/Guardian who is condemned breaking this rule will be given consequences at the Studios discretion. Consequences include warnings, class dismissals and or expulsion from the studio. Any conflicts or issues must be directed to the studio.
- Students & Parents/ Guardians must be respectful and courteous with other students and teachers.
- Any comments of negative value about the studio are not to be posted online. Any issues, concerns or problems are to be spoken directly with the studio owner.
- No inappropriate behaviour is to be exhibited in the studio or outside the studio whilst in company merchandise. This includes comments or photos/videos online whilst in uniform or referencing the studio.
- Students who negatively impact the class will be asked to sit out or given other consequences deemed necessary by the studio. Examples include but are not limited to; distracting and interrupting the class, inappropriate comments, failure to follow instructions and or act in any unsafe manner. Parents will be informed about any ill behaviours.
- Students and Parents/Guardians are to uphold all Etiquette rules whilst representing the studio in any way. Examples include at theatres, eisteddfods & competitions, community events etc.
- Student representing Studio 8:1 Dance Company at competitions may not represent another dance studio/cheer team at the same time.
- Any photos of the students taken by the studio may be used for promotional use online. Please advise the studio if you do not wish for your child to be posted online.
UNIFORM POLICIES
- Uniform is plain black attire accept any uniform pieces purchased or approved by the Studio. Clothing must be non restricting & cover students respectfully. Teachers reserve the right to ask students to sit out of class if their attire is not appropriate. Skirts are to be no longer than the knee due to it becoming a trip hazard.
- All hair MUST be tied back.
- No large jewellery is permitted and will need to be removed before class this includes long necklaces and chunky bracelets. Studs/sleeper earrings are allowed.
- Students participating in Acro Classes must have BARE FEET. No Jazz Shoes or socks permitted. Stockings may be worn but must be footless. These can be purchased via the studio.
