TERMS AND CONDITION - Please Read
Please ensure that you have read and understood the relevant section of the terms and conditions. We cannot be held responsible for any errors
caused by failure to read or understand the terms and conditions in full. As a customer of Dance It South West (DISW), these terms and conditions
form the basis of your agreement with us at Dance It South West.
TERM FEE POLICIES
Fees for lessons are charged by the term, each dance year contains four (4) terms. All Term fees are invoiced before the commencement of each term and MUST be paid
by the start of week one. With the exception of term one, which is due at the end of week One/commencement of week two. If your fees continue to remain outstanding at
the end of week three of each term, an administration fee of $15 will be automatically added to your account each term until your account is settled. If you are unable to
pay fees within the above period, please contact us to arrange alternative payment options (e.g. payment plan.). Payment plans will not incur a late administration fee,
unless regular payments agreed to on your payment plan are not being made. If your fees continue to remain outstanding with no efforts to make payments your account
will be forwarded to our debt collector agency for further action. All agency collection costs will be added to your account and covered by yourself. Term Fee Policy is valid
for any Invoiced class only and excludes any pay as you go classes such as Little Movers. Pay as you go classes MUST be paid upon entry to your class at that time.
REGISTRATION FEE
An annual, non-refundable registration fee of $25.00 is required to secure the students position at Dance It South West in order to cover the dancer's insurance,
administration fee and music licensing costs.
ENROLMENT POLICIES
Enrolments are valid until the end of each school year and have to be cancelled in writing by the end of each term when a student is unable to attend the
following term. If your enrolment is not cancelled for the current year, term fees will be applied until un-enrolment or the end of the dance year. Students who cancel
during the running term will be expected to cover term fees for the remaining weeks left in that term. Please request a cancellation form to cancel your enrolment.
REFUND POLICIES
No refunds, discounts or credits are given for missed classes. If you miss a class due to holiday, illness or if you decide to stop dancing all together, all classes attended will
be invoiced at our full fee-pricing schedule. Full pricing schedule is as; per term.
NOTICE BOARD POLICIES & COMMUNICATION
It is parents/guardians and students responsibility to read relevant newsletters, student memos and other information on a weekly basis. DISW will communicate with you
by phone and by email. Our newsletters are emailed and a copy of the newsletter/email will then be located in the studio foyer on the information board that following week.
DISW will not provide your details to any other company, entity or organisation unless you have given consent, all information will be kept secure by DISW in accordance
with The Privacy Act. Students also have a communication folder located in the foyer, some notes will be placed in the student folders over the year.
INJURY/MEDICAL CONDITION POLICIES & PROCEDURE
Basic first aid is available to every student. Due to government regulations, we are unable to provide anyone with Panadol or equivalent medication. In the unlikely event of
injury requiring treatment by a doctor, an ambulance will be called to the studio at your own cost. Any parent opposed to this should advise this on enrolment. Every effort
will be made to contact the nominated emergency contact if this situation arises. All students dance at their own risk, safety measures will be followed by all teaching staff.
Dance classes are a sport and do carry a risk of injury. All duty of care efforts will be in place to lower the risk of injury; however, all students attend lessons at their own
risk.
COSTUME POLICIES
Costume deposits will be required for each student if participating in any event requiring a costume (i.e. eisteddfods, public performances, end of year concert etc.). If a
student fails to pay the required costume deposit, no costume will be provided and the student’s attendance to the event will be cancelled. No item will be purchased
without your consent. All payments/invoices must be fully finalised before collecting your Graduation Costume.
CONCERT POLICIES
Student involvement in the annual performance is encouraged but is not compulsory. Attendance at stage rehearsals is compulsory for the end of year performance. All
payments/invoices must be fully finalised before taking part in the end of year Graduation Performance. Our end of year Graduation Performance Recording will be
published on USB and is compulsory to purchase, one per family. This will be invoiced during term three or four at approximately $65.00
LIMIT OF LIABILITY
Should a student hurt him/herself, you consent to staff at DISW to attend to the student until the nominated guardian or next of kin is available to take over. The student’s
enrolment into a DISW class is voluntary, participation in the class, and the activities of dance involve numerous risks of injury, including but not limited to, muscle strains,
sprains, brakes, and falls. You are aware these are risks for the student as outlined above. All safety measures will be followed to reduce any risk of harm. You must inform
DISW and all teaching staff of any injuries, medical conditions or allergies suffered by the student.
CLASS ATTIRE POLICIES
All students must be appropriately dressed for class in appropriate footwear and loose fitted clothing (preferably in class colours purple, black and white). All students must
wear long hair tied back securely for safety reasons. Please refer to the DISW information booklet for specific attire. Appropriate clothing and shoes are enforced by Term
Two due to safety reasons, this excludes Little Movers.
STUDENT/PARENT CONDUCT
Students are expected to be cooperative at all times. Warnings will be given for disruptive behaviour, and parents will be notified. Our objective is that every student feels
valued and enjoys their dance experience. Behaviour plans will be provided if necessary. Respect must be displayed to the studio or venue, from both students and
parents at all times. Explicit language, rude or bad behaviour, bullying, violence or aggression will not be tolerated at any time.
SUPERVISION
Parents with children under 12 years of age should supervise their children before class. We are only responsible for your children in the dance studio during class
session times. Students are expected to be collected from the studio by their parents before the commencement of the next class. If there is an unavoidable delay,
students are expected to stay within the premises until a parent/guardian arrives.
DISCLAIMER
Due to copyright, respect of the choreographer and the artist, please refrain from using routine, choreography, music production, scripts, monologues, artwork or ANY
intellectual property owned by Dance It South West or employees. Due to Arts and Performance Law and Working with Children, Videography and Photography of our
end of year Graduation Performance is strictly prohibited. I acknowledge that I have read, understood and agree to the terms &
conditions of this enrolment I also acknowledge that all information provided on this form is correct. Any breach of this
contract will result in cancelation of enrolment at your cost.
