I acknowledge that participation in dance and associated physical activities involves inherent risks, including the risk of injury.
By allowing my child to participate in classes, rehearsals, performances and any activities provided by The Dance Academy, I voluntarily assume all such risks on behalf of my child. I understand the importance of my child following instructions, safety guidelines and studio rules set by instructors and staff.
I agree to release and indemnify The Dance Academy, its directors, employees and contractors from any liability for injury, loss or damage arising from my child's participation, except where such liability arises due to negligence by The Dance Academy.
I understand dance is a hands-on art form and that teachers, and on occasion other students, may use appropriate physical contact to assist with alignment, technique and corrections.

Fees and Tuition Policy

By enrolling at The Dance Academy Sunshine Coast, families acknowledge and agree that all tuition fees are paid via monthly direct debit/auto-pay, processed on the 1st of the month for all families. Payments may be made from a nominated bank account or credit card. Payment details can be updated at any time via the parent portal, and it is the responsibility of the account holder to ensure details remain current.
An annual registration fee is charged upon online enrolment or with the first auto-pay. For 2025 TDA families, your annual registration fee is charged on 19 January. Tuition fees are all-inclusive and cover class tuition, administration, end-of-year costume hire, production and concert fees, concert video, photo day, additional concert rehearsals.
Annual tuition is calculated across the full year and divided into 11 equal monthly payments, charged from February to December. Monthly fees remain consistent regardless of the number of lessons in a month, public holidays or studio closures due to school holidays.
If fees remain outstanding for more than 14 days, the dancer will be unable to participate in classes, rehearsals or concerts until the account is brought up to date. Students participating in concerts must be fully enrolled and have tuition fees paid through December to be eligible.
To withdraw from a class, 14 days’ notice from the 1st of the month must be provided in writing to info@thedanceacademy.com.au . Refunds will not be issued for any missed classes during this notice period.
Money Back Guarantee
If, within one month from the date of your first class, you feel our programs are not the right fit for your family, we will refund your paid tuition amount, excluding classes already attended. We ask that dancers attend at least two classes so families can truly experience our classes and dance family. If your chosen class does not feel like the right fit, we are more than happy to help you find a more suitable option. The registration fee will be refunded as part of this guarantee.
Please note, the Money Back Guarantee is not valid if the dancer has previously participated in a trial class, whether paid or free.
