Welcome to BOK School of Dance. By enrolling or attending any class, event, or activity (in person or online), you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read carefully before participating.
1. Participation and Safety
Dance classes involve physical activity and carry a risk of injury.
BOK School of Dance takes all reasonable care but accepts no responsibility for injury, loss, or damage to personal property while at the studio or during classes/events.
You (or your parent/guardian) confirm that you are medically fit to participate and will take responsibility for your own safety.
Students must not attempt movements beyond their ability and must follow teacher instructions at all times.
Entry is not permitted more than 15 minutes after class starts.
Respectful behaviour toward staff, students, and parents is required at all times. Bullying, harassment, or inappropriate conduct may result in removal from the studio.
2. Enrolment and Fees
Enrolments must be completed online.
Students commit to classes for the calendar year and must give two weeks’ notice if withdrawing.
A non-refundable annual registration fee applies
Fees are direct debited fortnightly throughout the term or payable in full by Week 2 each term.
Missed classes are non-refundable and cannot be made up.
BOK School of Dance will credit or make up any class it cancels.
Costume, concert, exam, and competition fees are billed as advised.
Active Kids and Creative Kids vouchers are accepted but non-refundable once used.
3. Behaviour and Conduct
Students and parents agree to:
Be respectful to staff, students, and volunteers.
Follow studio rules and maintain a positive, friendly environment.
Keep studios clean and respect facilities.
Avoid disruptive behaviour; bullying or intimidation will not be tolerated.
Parents are not permitted in dance studios during class times.
4. Supervision and Child Safety
Students are supervised only during class times.
Staff hold current Working With Children Checks.
Teachers may use appropriate physical correction to assist with dance technique.
In case of injury or emergency, medical assistance may be sought at the parent’s expense.
The studio complies with Child Safe standards and mandatory reporting laws.
5. Classes and Scheduling
Timetables, teachers, and locations may change without notice.
Classes may be merged or cancelled if enrolments are low.
Students must wear appropriate dancewear (BOK shirt from Term 2) and arrive on time.
Mobile phones must be off or on silent during class.
6. Copyright and Media
All choreography, music, and costume designs remain the property of BOK School of Dance.
Filming or photography during class or performances is prohibited unless authorised.
By attending, you grant permission for photos or videos of your child to be used by BOK School of Dance for promotional or training purposes.
7. Communication
All official communication must be via email at: hello@bokdance.com OR via the StudioPro parent portal
Messages via text or social media may not receive a response.
Please keep your contact details updated in your Parent Portal.
8. Social Media Policy
Respect privacy - do not post images or videos of other students without written consent.
Avoid comments or posts that could be seen as defamatory, offensive, or disrespectful toward BOK School of Dance staff, students, or families.
Private rehearsal or class groups must be moderated by the studio director.
All concerns (fees, scheduling, performance matters, etc.) should be discussed directly with the studio, not on social media.
Agreement
By enrolling, attending, or participating in any BOK School of Dance activity, you acknowledge that:
You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions;
You release BOK School of Dance and its staff from liability for personal injury, loss, or damage; and
You agree to comply with all studio rules, policies, and procedures.
