Welcome to Dothan School of Dance! ***Please Note: upon registration for Fall Classes, we will automatically charge your card on file for a $50.00 registration fee, May 2027 tuition and the current months tuition in order to be placed in your classes.***

WE WILL COMMUNICATE VIA E-MAIL AND TEXT/PUSH NOTIFICATIONS THROUGH THE STUDIO PRO APP. Please make sure you have downloaded the app from your app store. All parents are required to join this in order to receive important notifications and to stay current with studio updates. Information that has been sent out will be posted outside the front lobby doors.

Dothan School of Dance reserves the right to dismiss any student whose attitude, attendance, conduct is unsatisfactory, or if your account is over 60 days past due.



All dancewear needs are available to purchase in Dazzle, which is conveniently located in our studio! Ballet Classes will be required to have the following: pink tights, pink ballet shoes, a leotard, and hair should be neatly secured in a bun. Ballet skirts are optional. No heavy jewelry (including smart watches) or loose-fitting clothes should be worn to any class. Jazz Classes will be required to have the following: caramel color jazz shoes, and hair should be neatly secured away from the face and off the neck. No heavy jewelry (including smart watches) or loose-fitting clothes should be worn to any class. Tap Classes will be required to have tap shoes (color TBD). Hair should be neatly secured away from the face an off the neck. Male Dancers should check with the office about appropriate attire.

At the beginning of the year, you may change your schedule without a penalty prior to September 1st. Beginning September 1st, there is a drop fee of $10.00 per class. You must notify the office in writing of any change or drop in class schedules. Classes can only be dropped at the END of a trimester (October, January, April). We will not lower tuition rates in the middle of a trimester if a class is dropped. No portion of May 2027 tuition will be refunded if a class is dropped. Drop fees and any outstanding tuition due will be charged to the card on file, at the time of withdrawal from the class(es). If a student drops all classes during the year, neither May 2027 nor the current trimester tuition will be refunded. NON-ATTENDANCE IS NOT CONSIDERED WITHDRAWAL FROM CLASS. Trimester charges will continue, and you will be responsible for payment until the office receives written notification of withdrawal.

All accounts must keep a valid credit/debit card on file with Dothan School of Dance. We will automatically charge your card on file for the following: -$50.00 Registration fee per student -Your FINAL month's tuition (May 2027) -Your current months tuition, if you are registering after August 1st. Dothan School of Dance charges a 3% convenience fee for each credit/debit card transaction processed. If you wish to avoid this fee you are welcome to pay tuition via through the office via cash. Tuition is due by the first of August, November, and February if paying by the Trimester and by the first of each month if paying monthly. There will be a $15 late fee added if tuition is paid after the 10th of the month. All accounts will be required to be set up on auto-draft for all tuition and other related fees. Auto-draft will be ran by the 5th of each month. Please note, your costumes, recital fees, performance team fees, and private lessons will also be automatically charged to your card. We will automatically charge a 3% processing fee to all credit/debit card payments. If an account becomes 60 days past due the account holder authorizes Dothan School of Dance to charge the card on file for the past due amount. If this transaction declines, we will not allow your dancer to return to class until the past due balance is paid or a payment agreement has been set up through the office. Late Fees will apply.

Payment methods include: online payments through the Parent Portal, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express. All payments received are applied to outstanding charges in the order in which they became due. No exceptions. There will be a $40.00 charge for all returned checks, returned bank drafts, and fraudulent credit card charge backs. If your check or credit card charge is returned by the banking institution, we require you to make all future payments in the form of credit card through the Parent Portal, cash, or money order/cashier's check. Accounts must be paid in full, by April 10th, in order to participate in the Recital. If an account becomes 60 days past due the account holder authorizes Dothan School of Dance to charge the card on file for the past due amount. If this transaction declines, we will not allow your dancer to return to class until the past due balance is paid or a payment agreement has been set up through the office.

I hereby grant to Dothan School of Ballet and Dance, Inc., the irrevocable and unrestricted right to use, reproduce, and publish photographs or videos of my child for editorial, trade, advertising, or any other social media purpose or manner and medium. I hereby release Dothan School of Ballet and Dance, Inc., and its owners and teachers from any and all claims, actions, and liability relating to use of said photographs or videos. I also understand that all common areas, studios, and offices are under video surveillance at all times. No cameras of any kind in bathrooms or dressing areas.



The 2027 recital will be Saturday, May 15, 2027. All students participating in the Recital will be charged a Recital Fee. This fee is due by February 1st. We will split the classes into multiple Recitals. This is due to the large number of dances/classes we have. Please keep this in mind when registering because if you register for classes that fall on different levels/days, your dancer could be performing in multiple recital shows.

We will announce the Recital line-up for each show by February 1st.

All students that participate in the Recital are required to attend all rehearsals the week of the Recital. Other "optional" Recital related costs include: Program ads, T-shirts, DVDs, Recital Souvenir Program Book, and Recital Tickets. Also, understand that all accounts must be paid in full to participate in the Recital. We will charge your card on file for any charges not paid in full by April 10th.

Students who are participating in the Recital will be required to purchase one costume for each subject. The costume fee will range from $100 plus tax. Fees will be posted to accounts and are due by October 1st. Kindergarten/Combination classes will have 2-in-1 costumes. Any additional costume balances, if applicable, will be due by January 1st. Technique, Acro, Jumps & Turns, and Stretch & Strength classes will not have a recital costume. All Recital Costume fees are non-refundable.

We will automatically draft your bank account or charge your card on file for the $50.00 Registration fee per student, final month's tuition (May 2027) and current months tuition upon completion of your registration. Both of these fees are non-refundable.

As the legal parent or guardian, I release and hold harmless Dothan School of Ballet and Dance, Inc., its owners and operators from any and all liability, claims, demands, and causes of action whatsoever, arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury, including death, that may be sustained by the participant and/or the undersigned, while in or upon the premises, any premises under the control and supervision of Dothan School of Ballet and Dance, Inc., its owners and operators or in route to or from any of said premises. The undersigned gives permission to Dothan School of Ballet and Dance, Inc., its owners and operators to seek medical treatment for the participant in the event they are not able to reach a parent or guardian or if deemed an extreme life-threatening health emergency situation.



For the safety of our dancers & staff, we do not allow anyone inside our building during classes except for students and staff. All Preschool and Kindergarten classes will drop off and pick up using the studio exit door that their class is located in. All level 1 and above students will enter and exit the front lobby doors. Students should not arrive more than 10 minutes before their scheduled class time and should be picked up immediately after class. A $10.00 fee will be charged to your account if you are more than 15 minutes late to pick up your child. This fee will be paid to the teacher that had to wait with your child.

No animals are allowed inside of the building, due to allergies and children being afraid.

ALL FEES: registration, tuition, recital, recital costumes, processing fees, late fees, etc. are non-refundable. Billing is done by the trimester - 1st Trimester: August, September, October; 2nd Trimester: November, December, January; 3rd Trimester: February, March, April. Our fees can be found on our website. Tuition is due on the 1st. All payments must be paid online through the Parent Portal or received in the office by the 10th of the month to avoid a late fee. Since we bill by the trimester, tuition can only be adjusted at the end of a trimester. If a student drops during a trimester, the full trimester tuition will still be due. The tuition rate is for the entire season (August-May). It is not based on the number of classes during a month, but on the entire duration of our season. Some months will have more/fewer classes, but tuition charges remain the same. No refunds or deductions are given if a student misses a class for any reason. Makeup classes are available for missed lessons. Please contact the office for more information.
