DC Dance Policies and Information
Classes can be mixed between one student taking multiple classes or members of the immediate family for rates.
1 class a week-$50 monthly
1 ½ classes a week-$70 monthly
2 classes a week-$80 monthly
2 ½ classes a week-$90 monthly
3 classes a week-$100 monthly
3 ½ classes a week-$110 monthly
4 classes a week-$120 monthly
4 ½ classes a week-$130 monthly
5 classes a week-$140 monthly
5 ½ classes a week-$150 monthly
6 classes a week-$160 monthly
6 ½ classes a week-$170 monthly
7 classes a week-$180 monthly
7 ½ classes a week-$190 monthly
8 classes a week-$200 monthly
8 ½ classes a week-$205 monthly
9 classes a week-$210 monthly
9 ½ classes a week-$220 monthly
$220 max limit per family.
Registration Fee: A once-a-year registration fee will be assessed for all students. $35.00 per student and $10 per additional student
Tuition will be auto-drafted on the first of every month. A late fee of $10.00 will be added if tuition is past due. I can not refund any tuition after it has been paid. All tuition, costume fees, and payments should be paid by auto-draft. Tuition will not be prorated for missed classes.
Holidays: Please check with the copy of the studio calendar. Note the dates that we will be closed as they do not always coincide with school holidays. We will not always close when school does, so check the calendar.
NO FOOD OR DRINK at the studio other than water. Exceptions are if your child has 3 or more hours of dance in a night or a medical condition then they can bring a healthy snack for when we have drink breaks or as needed for the medical condition. Please send a leak proof water bottle with your child for drink breaks.
Absences: Roll will be taken at each class. If your child must miss a class or is ill please notify me whenever possible. Just as you worry about your children, I too worry about my students. If they don't show up and no one calls in I have no way of knowing if everything is okay. Money will not be refunded or prorated for missed classes.
Dress Codes
No jewelry allowed in any class.
Please bring a spill proof bottle of water to each class.
Boys: Wear black dance pants/shorts, black shirt, black socks, and black shoes (shoes may vary by class). I offer a boys uniform package is $140 for ballet/tap which includes black pants, black shirt, black jazz shoes, and black tap. If your student only needs one pair of shoes for class then it is $105.
Ballet/tap: Pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and tan tap shoes. Ballet skirts and leg warmers are acceptable. Hair must be pulled back in bun. I offer a uniform package for this class that includes a pink skirted leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, and tan tights for $80.
Ballet I, II, or III (tested class): Must be in black leotards, pink tights and pink ballet or point shoes (no point shoes without my permission). Leg warmers may be worn for warm ups. Hair must be worn in bun. I offer a uniform package for this class that includes a black leotard, pink tights, and ballet shoes, for $60.
Tap Class: Tan or black tap shoes will be selected by teacher and any color leotard may be worn. (no high heel tap shoe's without my permission). Hair must be worn in bun. Tap shoes are $40.
Hip-Hop, and Cheer: Any color leotard, unitard, sports bra, and leggings can be worn. For girls wearing t-shirts a sports bra must be worn at all times. Teacher may request you remove t-shirts for certain stunts or moves so please wear something you feel comfortable in underneath. Shorts or skirts may be worn over leotard as long as they don't restrict movement. Black jazz shoes will be ordered through studio to ensure they are the same. Hair must be worn up and out of face.
Tumbling: Leotard or unitard required. Hair must be back preferably in a side pony tail or low bun.
Musical Theater: Any color Leotard, tights, and tan or black jazz/character shoes will be selected by the teacher and ordered through studio to ensure they are the same. Hair must be worn in bun.
Competition Teams: All competition team members must wear black leotard, tights, hair in bun, and shoes that teacher chooses for the year. Shorts, jackets, or skirts may be allowed depending on teacher and time of year. All competition team members must take ballet and abide by ballet dress-code guidelines. Shoes will be ordered through studio to ensure they are the same.
Adult Classes: Any color exercise wear is acceptable. Shoes and color will be chosen by teacher. You will be bending and stretching so to prevent clothing from rising up I do suggest a leotard and you can always wear a t-shirt, skirt, pants, or shorts over it if you choose.
Drop-Off/Pick-up: Please have students on time to allow for changing of shoes or clothing, and proper warm-up. Parents please wait till the class in front of yours is released and drop your children off at the door to reduce the amount of people in the studio at one time, to keep floors clean, and to help keep class flowing. If there is anything I need to know or you need to discuss please send me a message through band and I will get back with you ASAP. Please communicate with me and I will be happy to work with you. Students should be picked up no later than 10 minutes after class has ended. Please let me know if you are going to be late.
Make Up Days: Our month is based on a 3 to 4 week month which is equivalent to a 31.5 week school year. We have two weeks of added snow days in our calendar. Anything above those added make up days will be made up or students will be allowed to come to a similar class. If snow days are not used those end up being extra added days in our year that you are not charged for.

NO BAD MOUTHING OR PETTINESS: This will be STRICTLY enforced. DC Dance is one big family.. If you have a problem come to me. This applies to parents and students. I have a strict 3 strike rule. After the 3rd strike you will be asked to leave the studio for good.
Recital: We will have a winter and spring recital. There is a $16 recital fee per student, per show. Parents, friends, and family will be charged an admission fee. For time, dates, place, and ticket amounts refer to studio calendar.
Costumes: We will purchase one costume per class and that costume will be used for the winter show and the spring recital. Costume prices range from $70.00 to $105.00 per class. I will measure your dancer at class for costumes to ensure correct sizing. If you would like a certain size please let me know before we order (order date on the calendar). Requested sizes are not exchangeable.
Shoe and Tight Orders: Will be placed once a month, please see calendar for order dates.
Special Information: Please alert me to any special information I should be aware of concerning your dancer, such as Asthma, Allergies, Diabetes, etc. Special needs don't just include medical needs. If there is anything I should know about your child please let me know.
Band: All studio updates, bad weather cancellations, rescheduling, monthly calendars, etc will be sent through Band.
IN CASE OF SEVERE WEATHER I WILL LEAVE WEATHER CANCELLATION INFORMATION ON THE BAND AT LEAST 1 HOUR BEFORE CLASS. In most cases if Lebanon schools are out for weather or illness then so are we.
