Dancers are to wear tight fitting clothing such as a bodysuit or tank top and shorts (preferably black in color). Dancers are also required to wear white knee socks and dance shoes (either highland or black ballet shoes) for most classes unless the teacher states otherwise. Hair should be pulled back and out of the face. A water bottle is suggested to be brought to class.
At Forever Highland and in New Brunswick, there is an ethical code of respect where dancers of all ages are to respect their teachers. We ask that our dancers respect our teachers and other students during class and all other events, as we are aiming to create a happy and healthy atmosphere. We also expect our older dancers to be good role models for all of the younger ones that they come in contact with during their time involved with this sport. If there is a concern at any time about any aspect of FHDS, dancers are to speak to their teacher or the director in person if possible. This is especially for dancers who are in High School. If the situation has not been resolved to the fullest capacity, parents can contact the directer themselves to resolve the issue. Any issue that is not resolved, the director herself will bring such issue to the Ethics Committee with email threads, conversations had, and messages sent.
